I swear, some people will try to compliment a woman, and wind up fucking it up by wording it real shittily (I'm just making up words...don't mind me). Can't you just say she's 'pretty' or 'beautiful', and leave it alone? A member on MFC told me "You're not the hottest model on here, but I still like your room." Who does that??? He could've just said "I like your room," and left it at that.

If there are lots of great tips and advice on this forum that I have not had time to read yet, you will have to excuse me,

Welcome to the forum. :hello2: You'd probably have more time to read the threads on here if you spent less time worrying about buying Twitter followers. Just be a good cam model, put your Twitter info in your MFC room topic and profile, and new followers will come naturally.

I have always, and will always see myself as part of a team at MyFreeCams.

Other MFC models don't have to share their secrets with you though. If they want to, then cool. But not every model is willing to share secrets with her competition.

Not if you follow TOO many but if you follow a lot and a large ratio of those black you or mark you as spam. It's considered aggressive following.

Judging by how many people ask models on MFC if they have real or fake breasts when some are completely obvious (both ways), I would say the a lot of the male species would have a hard time determining real or fake if there are no obvious scars. Real or fake, large or small couched as preference's have always seemed to objectify women too much for my liking.

I have 6191 followers on twitter. I post when I'm on cam and stuff so my regs who follow me know to come check me out and so some of the models who come to my room also know in case they want to stop in. Also I post sexy pics and talk to some people on there but I really don't think my twitter brings in any paying customers. I have a few basics who have told me they came in because of a post on twitter. It seems though that all my paying customers found me on MFC and then followed my twitter. I always joke around in my room when I go to post on twitter that we are close to a show that any minute now the guests will come pouring in from twitter, lol.

I have over 13k twitter followers.
Last night on MFC I had 35-50 people in my room for the majority of the time I was camming. Even when I was topless. Most days my numbers aren't much better, even though I always tweet the link to my room when I'm getting online.

Saying that lots of twitter followers don't necessarily guarantee you a high room count or high earnings on MFC is an understatement. I firmly believe that the average camgirl's followers consist of under 5% paying camsite members. The rest are fellow models / random guys who want to see your free sexy pics / bots. They don't care for giving you any money. And if you buy followers... well. You probably won't be buying anyone that'll be useful to you $-wise.

Exactly. I only have 39 followers approved on twitter, but I'd sit and enjoy having a chat with any of them because I know them. Another 10,000 on there and I'd just be thinking 'why the hell are you listening in on my conversations?'
Granted I'm not in position of using twitter for marketing, strictly for socializing.

My thoughts on models using it... I generally don't think you will get people into your room if they discover you on twitter. Where it's good is 'IF' you are going to use it as an extended way to chat and just basically hang out with people, then those people tend to show up in your rooms a bit more often. Since they already know you it gives them the impetus to visit sometimes when you are on.

But honestly a much bigger factor (in MFC's case) is getting them to put you on their friends list. Twitter I don't really use to tell when a model is online. If i'm not in the mood or don't have time to be on MFC a model tweeting she'll be online won't change that. But when I do get on MFC the first thing I look at is the list of online friends. Then when I do see that models name in the list, I've remembered conversations from twitter and thought 'let's go visit her for awhile.'

So it does serve some purpose besides just pics and announcing deals, just not as much of a purpose as other tools at her disposal. Buying followers really only has one purpose, vanity. You want to feel cool and tout how many followers you have.

Considering she (milamilan) purchased over 30,000 of her followers on twitter, she really should not be making up rumors about other models just for her jealousy and financial benefit. This is really disgusting of her... She speaks so highly of herself. Talking about being top model centuries ago and brags about her self purchased robot followers. She obviously takes her self image really seriously considering how wonderful she thinks she is. All the women on MFC whose made their money rightfully, should not be talked down by MilaMilan, who has to purchase her followers to prove she's better. I can post images of some of her "followers" if you'd like. It's pretty hilarious.

I guess she fell off the lime light. Could no longer be #1, got envious of all the other girls who were up their rightfully and began writing stories about them. I did see her twitter flooded with rude remarks regarding non-nude models. What's her problem? She does not have to be non-nude herself. It's another women's decision to do what she pleases just as it's hers to decide to be nude.

This similar situation happens to all top models, and celebrities even. Envy takes over someone and rumors and stories begins to be made up about these girls.

I guess she's a prime example that karma really does exist. She's just stepped on too many girl's feet. I wish her luck. But her book? No thank you.

The worst part is that mila flaunted her huge follower count on her mfc profile, even came up with a way for people to pay for her to advertise for them on her twitter account with 150k followers. It was hilarious. Watched it go up thousands a day, and suddenly up about 50k in a day. If you look at it now, you gotta wonder if she felt dumb for thinking that would work and not be obvious that she was followed by a network of robots. And its in the negative followers per day now.

There are a couple ways people can buy twitter followers. One (which mila clearly used) just dumps thousands of brand new accounts with BS names at a time at you. The other way is to do it gradually, by maybe 50-100 a day or two. It's less obvious this way, but to someone who knows their way around social networks, its still super easy to pick out of the crowd.

There are most definitely some cam girls, even some who frequent this forum, who are doing it the sneaky way.

Just out of boredom and curiosity, one day I wrote a tool to compare a sampling of cam girls and their follower growth over the last year. Girls who you may expect to get a very high amount of new followers daily because they're multi-media in the adult world, such as destiny dixon or even playboy megan, get an average of around 50 a day. Angela sommers is at about 100 per day.

When you see girls who are only on one or two cam sites, and not involved in studio porn flicks or part of playboy getting over 100 new followers per day, that's when you know something is a little fishy. There's a particular account that I casually keep my eye on cuz it's funny how fast the numbers go up when she gets so few replies to her tweets and how many new followers she still gets even if she hasn't tweeted in 2-3 days.

Not sure what she's trying to accomplish other than having a large number to flaunt to her peers. But whatever, it's her money, if she wants to inflate that number (in a sense, the same way some mfc girls tip themselves to boost their cam scores) then so be it. Just think it's funny when they pretend that isn't the case. Its sneaky.

Most of the sites that offer followers for cash work like traffic exchange/paid to follow. This means people who follow you this way got paid to do so. They don't care much as soon as they get their cents, create fake accounts and - very likely - are underage. It's just another way to earn some money with your PC. And, for me, it's just a waste of money :twocents-02cents:

I have had anywhere from one(when i started) to 2.8k people in my room while fully clothed. Let me tell you:

Bigger crowds are thought to manage. The conversation doesn't flow as nice so a lot of my regulars felt left out. It is hard for me also to follow their chat and be entertaining.
Having just a lot of people in your room sometimes means that people are less inclined to tip because they hide between the anonymity of the big numbers.

Also when it comes to make up, being hot, being nude and stuff:

-I get tipped more sometimes when I wear no make up at all. Maybe guys feel like they can relate better with me and feel special that I have the comfort level to talk to them without trying to impress them.

-I don't have fake boobs, I don't have the perfect body and most people call me non nude (even thought I don't like labels) and I like to think I'm successful on mfc, despite all those. To tell you the truth, I probably would have made less money if I didn't do the "non-nude way", not because I think it's immoral to do nude sex stuff but because I found a niche that works for me.

In my opinion success isn't a simple formula you can follow.Looks only won't cut it. You have to bring creativity, work hard and smart and then hope that people will notice you.

Also regarding twitter:
I don't think it brings direct money in the short term but it helps you solidify your brand. You create your brand in your mfc room. Twitter is just a mirror reflection then.
Also having a lot of twitter followers might help you when you are ready to leave the industry. You will have a network to fall back on for your future opportunities. If these followers are fake it won't help much.
