We are seeking adult creators, account managers, chatters, and AI tool developers willing to be interviewed for their expertise in DM/account management.
This is for an academic study on inter-platform business strategies in the adult industry - we are specifically focused on how adult creators engage audiences through private messaging and convert social followers to paying subscribers using both AI tools and hired chatters.
About the researchers: we are pornography scholars with a track record of critical work on platform infrastructure and policies that are harmful to adult content creators. Our past publications include work on anti-porn algorithmic bias and financial discrimination. Our current study concerns strategies to manage DMs/messaging, which have now become an essential site for value-creation in the adult industry. We are interested in hearing about the strategies and emerging 3rd party tools that creators rely on today, as well as how you navigate varied and conflicting policies of the many platforms you rely on in your work.
note: compensation of €40/interview available for participating adult creators.
Interviews can be anonymous, or include identifying information, per your preference. Results will be published in scholarly journals rather than shared publicly as journalism.
