I’m worried sick about a model.
I am her Knight on Stripchat, and we swap stories and memes when she’s offline via Telegram.
At the end of her last broadcast on Sunday she told everyone that she would be back on Monday.
After the show I sent her a couple of photos that she had asked me to take and I didn’t expect a reply as it was late in her timezone.
The following morning she replied in her usual chatty manor, and that was it.
No replies to further messages, not online on Monday at all. I could see she had been online (Telegram) Tuesday morning but had not read my messages. This gave me some relief.
Then she removed her Telegram profile photo and changed the gif to one of a cat waving goodbye, also changing her username, and privacy setting so that I could no longer see when she had been online.
Later and after no contact I sent a suggestion that she use her old profile picture on Telegram. I don’t know if this gets a different notification but I got the following:
“Hey! I’ll tell you later sorry”.
Then her profile gif changed to that of a cat that looks like it was saying help!
That was 26 hours ago and she kept it unusually brief.
I sent more messages about how worried I was but still nothing.
She said a few weeks ago that she was worried about safety, her country is not a safe one for girls.
Any suggestions as to how I proceed. Could/would Stripchat contact her or would that require Police involvement?
This morning at 06:30 all messages show as read, not one reply. Her Telegram emoji was changed to that of an animated turd.
Not online again this afternoon.
That’s three days MIA.
This is so out of character for her.

I'd rather appear a dick for raising the alarm when nothing happened, than live with my thoughts if I did nothing and something had happened.

On-line friendships can be tricky. We live constantly with the possibility that the other person may just disappear and we might never know why or if they are OK. What you describe with your friend may be nothing. Or it may be something, however it is unlikely that you can have any positive effect. Unless you know exactly where she lives and contact local authorities, what can you do? What you have described is hardly evidence of foul play (although I acknowledge that it is distressing for you).

All you can do is look after your own mental well-being. It will be difficult for you but send her positive, supportive messages (but NOT excessive amounts!) and wait.

Like Ozzie says, there's not a lot of concrete evidence to suggest she's in real danger. It's only been 3 days, hardly a lifetime, and the constant changing of her profile pic to humourous memes doesn't sound overly like the actions of someone in danger. I mean, if you were in danger and had access to a messaging platform would you rely on someone understanding a cryptic, animated profile pic or would you just send someone a message?

It's possible that something is happening in her life just now and you are just not her priority at the moment.

Very sweet you care, but try not to get too serious, it'll be bad for your health.

That's the way online is, like Ozzie said.
I'm constantly doing disappearing acts of various legnths. Likely just means she needs some "me time"... well "her time"... you know what I mean, right?!
My advice from my persepctive; Just do you in the meantime, and look forward to when she comes back.
Do something nice for yourself too. Self care is important for everyone.

Whole heartedly agree with what others have said here, do not put too much into it, sometimes things just happen for people and having to explain it might look like a huge task to them, I also knight/moderate for someone and she sometimes go MIA for a week or more even if she said she would be online the day after, and the first time it also freaked me out a little bit.. but sometimes these things really just happen and everything is fine.. I hope this can help you find some calm

Thank you for your replies, a lot of sense and good suggestions.
The thing that really gets me is that she was absolutely fine when she last posted on my Telegram, there was nothing to suggest that she would miss her show that day at all.
The statistic that really worrying me is that in her country, in the rural parts, (and she lives out in the country) 80% of women aged 16-36 are missing, most of them forcibly taken into prostitution.
That IS cause for concern.

it is true if she lives a place like this there could be concerns, but then she would not have access to a phone and change pictures and be able to write she would explain later..
sometimes things just happen, they can be fine one minute and not the other.. it's just how life is sometimes for all of us.

She had just got a new iPhone, Apps can be opened by facial recognition, her changing what was a lovely photograph of her to none, and totally out of character gifs and emojis does not rule out that she is no longer in control of her phone.

Just want to say that while genuine concern is understandable, anyone considering contacting 'local authorities' about someone's welfare, no matter how well-intended, could have serious repercussions for the model based on laws and social views/attitudes in that country.
I know it's tough having uncertainty, but IMHO all you can do is cross your fingers and hope she returns.

Do an experiment, send a tip with a message - see if that gets a response.
Like 10 or 15 plus, not a dollar or two.

When I'm tired I always appreciate the guys that have the sense to tip first.

I don't know how many people here on the non model side realize this, but there are literally 100s of guys that send cam models messages for random reasons (but for some bizarre af reason they all assume they are the only one); genuine concern, boredom, lonliness etc etc outside of horniness, but there are millions of those too. Keeping up with them all, can be hard. Priority goes to tippers and/or men who spend a lot regularly.

I get many guys a week wanting to be pen pals, and I do like people. But it's just not practical mathematically, and with time.
There's not enough time in the day for that, given how many guys on this planet are super into cam models, and our company.

Try sending a decent tip with your message is all I'm saying, and see if maybe you get an immediate response.
If you're this upset about it, may as well.

That's a good idea and I've done it a couple of times over the last 24 hours, no response.

I realise that, and that's why I was asking if Stripchat or Chaturbate would contact her as presumably they have her phone number and contact details. Going to the authorities in a dodgy country would be my last resort, hence posting on here first for advice and guidance.

I am curious what country she is from. Sounds like stories I hear from African models.
It's not an African country, but unless you have some specific advice I would like to keep that private for now, as she doesn't broadcast that information for obvious reasons. I hope you understand.

Ok .. but if 80% of the women in the age range you gave are missing, the government and whatever law enforcement there is in that country are probably involved.

do not contact her country's authorities if the country isn't safe for women.

she probably got outed and due to the nuclear blowout of being publicly outed as sexworker brings- quit.

for her safety do not get involved.

Well this escalated quickly. OP, while I understand your concerns, usually the most logical explanations are the correct ones.

She might have quit the job and not want to continue to have any contact with her members. In fact, you said yourself that one of her emoji changes was to a cat waving goodbye. She might just not want to talk to you at this time, for whatever reason. She could have had a family bereavement. Everything points to her still being active online.

So far, all we have a model who hasn't broadcast for a few days, has changed her profile pic and hasn't replied to messages. None of that is overly abnormal behaviour but somehow thing are heading in the direction of her being kidnapped, her face used to unlock her phone and local law enforcement are complicit.

I think you maybe need to take a step back and look at your train of thought here.

We have a saying in the States -- got a problem and call the cops? Now you have two problems. You don't know anything other than what she has told you and I bet regardless of how open you feel she was being with you she probably wasn't nearly as open as you think. ;)

local law enforcement are complicit.
i dont think thats what most of us are saying. we dont know the country, so pornography may be a gray area of legality. also, i dont know if you are aware of this but police corruption is a thing in places where violence against women are high. possibly outing her as a sexworker isn't going to do her any favors but paint a target on back.

seriously he shouldnt get involved at all if he is 100% concerned about her safety.

My point is that 80% seems not possible... That is 800,000 out of every one million women in whatever country. Someone would know about that. Just seems impossible to me

Quick thoughts from a member perspective, trying not to be too redundant of what others said:

First off, it hasn't been too long, so I wouldn't get too worried.

Second, being a Knight may seem like there's a special relationship, but how well do you really know this model? Are you communicating on a Telegram account where she also writes to other members? Or are you on her REAL Telegram account, where she writes to mom and her friends and others in her real life? If you don't have the latter type of relationship, you may not be as close as you think. I'm not saying this in a negative way; I think it's reality in a lot of model-member relationships (unless they've become something much less common).

Third, chances are that she'll send you some explanation soon. But, you also should be emotionally prepared - just in case you don't have that type of real life connection I mentioned - that she could leave the industry and cut all the ties. I know someone who did this and I got to kind of follow along the process. I am sure that there were some men who felt hurt, even though most understood that it wasn't going to be a permanent connection (even though it may have been ongoing for years, for a few).

Fourth, I'm not sure about all the conjecture of foul play. I guess in theory you could inform Stripchat that you have perceived her "disappearance" to be unusual, and maybe they could reach out to her (or the studio, if she works in one). But I think they're also likely to tell you that they can't relay anything to you, even if they were to start checking. To them, you are just a customer (even if you view this as a friendship and you're legitimately worried).

Lastly, I do know that it can cause worry when there's an unexpected situation like this. (I've had that worried feeling in my gut before). But got to understand it comes with the territory, and there isn't much you can do unless you are part of this model's real world rather than her virtual world.

A few years ago a model I considered a friend just disappeared, her personal Whatsapp messages went undelivered. She never showed up on any cam sites, her social media stopped getting updated. Models in her studio said she just stopped coming in. She would never disappear without saying anything I thought for sure something had happened to her......

Last year I signed up for TikTok for the first time and guess who gets suggested to me first? She's perfectly fine.... got pregnant around the time she disappeared (based on the TikTok videos I saw).

Others have already said almost everything I would say and mostly more eloquently.

Personally as a cam model, I regularly disappear at random for a period of time and am completely non contact.

This is because I have chronic health conditions that can really mess me up to the point where my digestive system even stops for awhile and I can barely sit up for a few seconds at a time.

I'm very open about this stuff but many people hide illnesses.

I also super recently (actually only back online since yesterday) had a sudden illness then death of a family member.

As much as I dearly love my community on here and on my platforms, I wasn't about to be telling almost any of them what was going on...nobody goes to a porn site to hear about sadder things than their own day!

We try to balance authenticity with giving y'all a positive space to unwind and "take a load off".

Sometimes we just can't handle even logging on.

As others have said, it's definitely for a good reason...but none of us knows what her reason is and that's ok.

She'll either come back or not.

Up to you if you want to keep tipping her while she's not working (trust me when I say it can make a huge difference in stress levels when you can't work suddenly).

Ah, I confused the Ns and the Ws without profile pics. Thought the OP said that.

It kinda freaks me out that if I miss a few shifts or just don't feel like logging on customers go to this extreme. Thankfully I don't think I've had this happen

No it's not, it's 80% of young women in rural areas, not the cities. She lives in the countryside.

I think the point most people are making here is that you are jumping to some pretty wild conclusions when the evidence seems to suggest that she is alive, functioning and has only been absent for a few days. In fact it seems like the only things she isn't doing is broadcasting and communicating with you. Neither of those things on their own suggest that she has come to harm.

She's not communicating with any of her fanclub members that I know. Everyone is worried, not just me. One question I have for the cammers on here, her profile every day or so is showing "up for private", I and three other have requested this but had no reply. Could this be a glitch or do you physically have to do something to enable it? It gave us hope when we saw it.

It's highly possible that she has left the studio or even the industry and isn't responding. I think you might need to accept that if she wants you to know what is happening then she will tell you. From what you have said, she is still active on her communication channels, just not with you. It's no different from when anyone else in your contact list isn't in touch for a while? Do you immediately think they've come to harm?
