Are there any ways to tell if a guy might be recording your cam 2 cam? Asking b/c i was c2c with a guy last night and there was a LOT of weird feedback on his end and i could hear my voice echoing back on his end.
Could have just been a weird malfunction on the site or something but it got me thinking , are there any signs or red flags one might look for or hear to know you might be being recorded?
only been camming a month or so
thanks girls!

There won't be any indication on your side if someone's recording. The best way to stop audio feedback is for one (usually the member) or both of you to use headphones or even better a gaming headest with a mic.

Ways to tell if someone is recording you: Assume that they are and be okay with it.

That might sound bitchy, but I really don't mean it to. It's just that at some point you will be recorded and its best to make your peace with it before it happens. For most public shows on MFC, your shows will automatically be capped. For all private shows on MFC, your shows are recorded so the premium can re-watch it, and that premium could record the private at that point and put it up. Anything that is visible on a computer screen can be recorded. It's never an issue of if you'll be outed due to a recording or someone seeing you live, but when.

That said, there's nothing wrong with trusting your gut, and if you're doing a private with someone who weirds you out, there's nothing wrong with ending the private.

Lastly, the echoing was likely feedback from their sound and mic being on at the same time. Probably nothing more than a non-tech-savvy camsite member.

Cam2Cam with audio on both sides will usually cause feedback as its looping the audio from the speakers back through the mic continuously. Back when i did c2c I wouldn't allow (aka ask them nicely not to) their mic to be on. For the one guy who I did allow we eventually used headphones to avoid the feedback issue. It was still awkward as hell. :D

The point is, it has nothing to do with him recording you.

I heard (years ago) that if you're playing music and a member asks you to turn it off they're probably capping you because they can't reupload it. My music hasn't stopped anyone recording me but I guess it's a surefire way to know that they're recording.

I am going to contest this one :D
I have asked for the music to be turned off before. Saw another guy BEG for it IN ALL CAPS to be turned off (we were both tipping).
Had nothing to do with recording. It was because song choices/terrible audio quality was killing the mood.

Good to know! I didn't even think about bad music choices lol :)

Man, maybe some muzak or other low key tunes would work but
Yeah
It seems near impossible to be able to tell if you are being recorded. I'd invest in a watermark if anything

But google any girl you see on the front page of MFC and you bet your bippy there is videos of her dolled out to various porn sites. It's a shame but it's an inevitability.
I THINK you can report your vids being uploaded to MFC and they'll send a cease and desist since you are there product pretty much.

EDIT: MFC DMCA POLICY

Watermarks are nice in that they allow people viewing the recording, that's been posted to other websites, to know who you are. Then potentially they could find your room and tip.

They do nothing to stop the recording from happening or being posted though.

Oh I know, it's more of what else are you going to do? Make a tad of good out of it.

Sorry to be a downer but you've already been recorded. Google your username and you'll see a bunch of recordings pop up. Bots automatically record basically all MFC shows, no matter the popularity of the girl. The most you can do is DMCA as much of it as you can and try adding a watermark to your feed.

edit: Also, I don't think models usually turn the sound on when they are watching member cams. When you do that it means the whole room can hear the guy talking. Turns everyone else off. Feedback/echos on his end is no indication of recording software. That just happens sometimes when you have microphones and speakers.

Sorry, someone has already replied to this but just to reiterate - I've asked for music to be turned off in private because there's a strong aural aspect to the session, for me, and I don't want to find myself distracted instead by some crummy song I don't even like. I'm certainly not recording anything.

My pet hate is when I take a girl private for the first time, and she kind of dances to the music she has going on....I have clear ideas what I want in private and to turn off the music helps to keep the girls focussed on my requests....
So my issue is that the music sometimes distracts the girls from me....

:)
