Many of you who are models are also fans and followers of other cam girls. In your opinion, what are the qualities that make a model successful in this biz?
On the personal level, there are obvious characteristics like personality (to be "different" enough to set yourself apart without being too offbeat to the point of becoming an acquied taste that few acquire), a sense of humor (the ability to be self-effacing and able to laugh at themselves and others), etc. Looks certainly matter, but several of the most popular girls, while not at all unattractive, certainly do not fit the stereotype of what men typically claim they find attractive.
I think two qualities that help a lot are attentiveness and relentless self-promotion. The model who is attentive to her fans -- promptly answering e-mails and filling orders, greeting regulars amd newbies alike when they enter the room, tuning in on those individual personalities and remembering the quirks and interests of frequent visitors -- generates a lot of loyalty. The ability to multi-task under pressure is certainly a plus -- some models amaze me with their ability to keep the topic current, keep track of multiple intertwining chat threads, deal with PMs and public chat simultaneously, and manage a crowded room without breaking stride or losing their smile. And the model who can keep things fresh -- coming up with new ideas, games, stunts, themes on a regular basis -- has a decided advantage over girls that pretty much do the same schtick day in and out.
And it seems to me that the mega-models know how to promote their "brand" relentlessly through their profile and personal website, videos and swag, twitter updates, etc. I firmly believe that top echelon models spend as much time off-cam managing and promoting themselves as they do in front of the lens.
What qualities do you guys have to add, amplify, or agree/disagree with?
