No, we just think it's pretty ridiculous that you're so unprepared for something like this and don't seem to be taking it all that seriously.

So most people here aren't, either.

After that other thread with brucewayne, I can't even tell which threads are serious anymore, and which ones are just trolling us. LOL.

Sweet dreams, Picking Around.

Of course, if all the other cam sites you are using now were perfect, i wouldn't be here trying to make a better site for everyone involved. This is a learning curve for me, but if i didn't care about what you models thought, i wouldn't be here in the first place trying to make it more suited to your needs. I'm not asking for miracles, i'm not asking you to be nice to me, just if you want some input on how it works then i am able to incorporate your ideas and needs into the site i am building.

What part am i not taking seriously? Because i don't have a name? Not having a name does not stop me designing the functions of the site and ensuring the system that pays models is working properly. The part where i spend a year designing the site, having it built, tested, re-worked? The part where i come to you models with something to show you, looking for your opinions, where i make changes based on what has been said in here?

You may not agree with the name, which is ok, but i disagree with you thinking i am not taking it seriously. If SM, CB and other sites are so good, then why so many complaints about them?

A serious person wanting to make a difference is right here, i may not be the first and i won't be the last, you don't have to engage with me or like me, but do know that i am taking this very seriously.

A couple more ideas:
hautecams
camforme

I think you need a better vision of what vibe want for the site. What kind of models in particular are you looking for? What kind of customers are you trying to attract? Are you going to be more focused on privates like Streamate or public chat shows like MFC?

If you have a better idea of your target audience you will know what kind of models you want, which may just be ANYONE. But you need to know what look to go for. Something as simple as your color scheme should tie in with the feel of your website. Some sites are so scattered with their ideas, I like ones that have a central theme. It is easier for me to understand and more appealing.

Just say you went with the "hautecams" name. It brings ideas of high fashion, Paris, elegance, expensive, etc.. You could make your colors black, gold and silver. Your photos of models could be less focused on the nude and more elegant looking, at least for the homepage. Call your tokens "gold" or "coin".

If you went for a more girlnextdoor/ non-nude type look you could have more pastel colors, you might bring in a different target audience.

What is the "Roll the dice"? That sounds interesting, I would put in more details about that, maybe make that a focal point.

Be careful in the photos you are posting. The one that checks your age is a photo of a famous model which could get you copyright issues. It is also a little misleading. Of course once you have models you will probably change it to a photo of one of them (with permission).

"Email
For law enforcement agents seeking information relevant to a pending litigation"

That would scare the shit out of me as a potential model/member, you probably don't need to put that as it's own section as far as I know but be as a part of general questions. I have never seen that before on any other site.

Also in your FAQ:

1. "All tips and tokens are optional and unless inside a private show are not required for vieweing and do not gurantee the performer will do as you ask."

This sentence needs to be edited. It makes it sound like in private shows models have to do what you tell them to do. There are also misspelled words.

2. "All you will need to install is Flash Player. Most computers will already have this installed, however if not then click here to download the latest version."

"Click here" is not highlighted on the site. It needs to be!

3. You probably already know this, but it generally needs to be rewritten and checked for spelling/grammar.

sensuouscams.com
radiantcams.com
sumptuouscams.com
poshcams.com
lusciouscams.com

I used a thesaurus to find these, so not very creative, but I think the idea is to not have a crude name and for sure don't have a name with "free" in it. That is bad bad bad, lol.

Some of these appear to lead to dead ends but are taken when I search on godaddy, so they may be for sale. Most are available dropping the s on cams or changing to "webcams" instead of "cams".

That ... or you're too lazy to make your own business model.

ETA: I am not saying asking for feedback is a bad thing. It's important. I think for any adult business to do well you need consultation from an actual swer or two. But my criticism is based on the impression that you have no solid plan or idea. To be even clueless about a name and thinking you can start a site on one url and just move it concerns me about your organisation and preparedness.

I think Rosy gave great advice on how to start approaching the development of your corporate design. A few more things you might want to consider:
- It seems you’re trying to cater to a very heterogeneous target group with different kinks and tastes instead of targeting a specific niche market. What’s appealing to one person might be a complete turn off for others. If you can’t define your target group or at least the general feel your website should have, go with a neutral name and omit words that might be associated with a specific kink, camming style or in general just words that evoke any kind of colourful pictures in peoples’ minds. I’d say streamate and chaturbate are fairly good examples for that.
- Asking models & members about their associations with specific names for your site might be more fruitful than asking them to come up with a name. Why it’s not a good idea to ask for names without giving any input has already been pointed out.;) However, I also feel like asking for associations might be more helpful than asking if they like it or not - tastes simply vary. A name that doesn’t put off a lot of potential customers is also likely not to evoke strong positive reactions. It’s just…well, neutral.
- Just by skimming through your other thread it seems you really wanted to focus on functionality, good service and reliability. The aesthetics and content of your site should represent those “values” at first glance. Let a professional rewrite the content. I’m sure you spent a significant amount of time and money on creating a competitive product. Do the packaging accordingly.
- I’m not sure if this was mentioned in the other thread but the fb-button freaks me out.

You guys are a tricky bunch

Back to the drawing board
I wouldnt exactly say we are tricky. We are however about our business and getting this money so meh. We appreciate that you are coming to us and asking for our input but we are merely asking you to throw out some suggestions and let us decide whether they are good or not. You are not really being creative and sharing any ideas with us. Nobody here is trying to trash you because we support good ideas but you have to put in the work too. Being nice to us could mean potential employers for your website which means everyone wins from a monetary prospective so we need you to drop that condescending tone of yours. Just like you are saying you didnt have to come here and talk to us, we could easily tell you that this is a shitty idea and to keep it moving but we have hearts and bank accounts that need to be filled. If you offer some good ideas that dont sound like they just got pulled out of your ass, we will offer creative input. However gocammando is probably one of the dumbest ideas ever....not throwing shade but being realistic. Let me break down exactly how stupid that idea is... Keep your ears open, hope that you listenin. Cause I'm about to take you on a George Porgie mission. Okay goingcammando is a military term which means if you use this title, you will be pissing off a lot of veterans. Going cammando is mostly a term used by men. If you use the title going cammando, a lot of people might interpert it as a gay porn site. If your site is mostly gay male porn, you are going to have state that at some point. Women do gocammando but we dont have really call it that. You are going to need a name that is gender neutral and that sounds sexy but yet professional. You might also want to make a thread where you list what you offer on your site and what makes it different than other sites because the girls want to join but we need incentives. What makes your site stand out from the other cam sites? Why should we join your cam site? What payment methods do you offer? What bonuses if any do you offer? Do you offer something taboo that other sites do not such as healthcare or tuition assistance? Do you offer hourly pay? Do you have money set aside per month to pay for a domain name?

Something tells me that you have not thought about any of this stuff and that's troubling. We cant leave our bread and butter for a site with barely any traffic and only a half hearted promise of being paid. The girls on here have babies and bills and responsibilities so being apart of someone's fantasy is not going to cut it. When you have everything together and you actually have some sort of an authentic business plan, then come talk to us about some real shit and getting this money. You sound like a cat who means well but you are not taking this seriously.

I was not picky or tricky. I run an adult business and have several different adult brands under my business. I have been in this industry for 13 years now.I have several phone sex sites and other sites under my various of brands. So, I am very serious about working in this industry. In fact, I have a business and marketing plan for being a sugar baby.Frankly, I find you being unprepared to be a bit on the unprofessional side. Just because it is the adult industry does not mean that you come into this industry half cocked. It is a real business that you must worked at.Cam sites are one of the most hardest things to marketed and promote in this industry. Many cam sites have failed due to site owners having such an adult affiliate attitude towards them. You have to become a boss if you want cam models to respect your hard work. Plus, you have not told us anything about your site at all. I was addressing you from a purely business stand point. As a business person, you need to learn how to properly brand and market your site. But is not too late to start back at zero and make the best site that you can.:cat:

You guys are a tricky bunch

I would like to point out that you have been advised several times to employ a handful of models to help out with ideas for your site. And you have said you won't be doing this. Instead you come here and try to get us to give you ideas and names for your site for free that YOU are going to benefit from. I get you are trying to make a good site that caters to its models, however you are not willing to employ any girls to actually help you in this. Many models and members have given you loads of advice and ideas myself included, which now kind of feels like we are the ones that will make your venture profitable for you, and saving you the hassle of doing what you should have done in the first place and paid models to help you. It will be interesting to see your site when it does go live to see how many ideas you have managed to smoosh together without actually thinking about how to go about it. My free advice stands you need to do more research of your own and employ some savvy and knowledgable models to help you in this venture, instead of insisting you don't need the inside help of people who know the business.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your comments so far. This is going to be a real journey, so i will start with one foot in front of the other.

I have been thinking about the name of the site today. One name that is springing to mind is:

incognitocams.com

I like it because lots of people go incognito to view porn, especially on shared computers. Incognito means to hide ones identity, which i felt was in some ways typical of a cam model, cam models tend to make a whole new persona of themselves which, whilst they are broadcasting, is their identity.

A second thought was voguecams.com

What does your gut tell you about that?

Not very classy though. I'm starting to wonder if i know what classy is! o_O
Did a quick search of tags on porn sites.

Terms like classy and sophisticated all score significantly lower than terms like nasty, dirty, ghetto, whore...
Maybe something you want to look into.

classy for me woud be : HiddenDesiresCam.com

:).
Not sure about this one. If I go to a site with "hidden" in the name and can't find a cam with an unsuspecting Waffle House patron in the restroom, I'm going to feel pretty ripped off.

That is very interesting how it has scored! I'm going to come back tomorrow with a full overview of what i intend my site to offer, who my target models/audience are and a start on my marketing plan.

The name will be dependent on the above, so will follow in due course.

Hi All,

incognitocams.com

I do not think incognitocams is a good name.

I think incognitocams will bring you folk who are looking for teeny tiny cameras.
Also, ask 100 folk to spell incognito and you might get some interesting attempts.

I think voguecams.com will invite an aggressive lawsuit from Vogue International.

I am sorry I am not being very helpful.

Nonsense, you are being seriously helpful.

I did wonder a little about vogue breaking my legs.

As mentioned in my post above, i am going to work on my target models/audience and marketing overnight. It won't be finished tomorrow, but i will post an update tomorrow about where i am.

The name will follow soon after :) *preys the name will satisfactory*
