Working on webcams made my life better…what about you?

First of all, sorry about my english mistakes upfront, my native language is spanish and sometimes I fuck sentences up
I think you will understand me anyway!!!

I’m writing this post just because sometimes we all complain a lot about slow days, some rude members, technical issues, etc etc…but then, when we look at the whole picture we realize that there are SO MANY GOOD THINGS about being a webcam girl, that the bad things are not THAT BAD really.

Don’t get me wrong, I also suffer and complain sometimes…I have awful shifts sometimes, I get angry with myself, I make mistakes, etc etc. This job has difficult moments as any other job...but I need to say that I’m sooooo grateful about all the good things that I’m enjoying for being a webcam girl.

We need to remember and be grateful about all the good things!!!

I started working in webcams 1 year and 5 month ago, now…and this job made my life better because:

1. I’m an independent worker, I control my time and the effort I invest every day. I DECIDE. Nobody is pushing me. (I know sometimes studio models has not this advantage)
2. I have free time to do some other things that I really really enjoy. For example, in my “real” life I work in music production & promotion because I love it…but if that would be my only incoming, I would be starving and living "like a rolling stone".
3. I have free time to enjoy with people I love
4. If I don’t feel really good, or if I have my (painful) period, I can take a free day.
5. I met some amazing people all around the world, friends that supports me…and I’m not talking only about the money, also about being there to put a smile on my face when I need it.
6. I learnt to have less prejudices about people
7. I learnt a lot about sexuality, things that I didn’t know about what turns people on.
8. I create the “atmosphere” in my room, I don’t have to stand rude people if I don’t want to (We don’t have a block or ignore button in real life, that would be GREAT!!!)
9. I listen the music I like when I am online
10. I earn good money even when I’m not a top earner…much better than any 8 hours normal job. Before becoming a webcam girl, I was working in production & journalism between 10-14 hours every day, with no time left for my own projects…and earning the half of the money I do as a webcam model in 4 hours every day.
11. I don’t have to travel from home to work and vice versa, so I don’t waste extra time
12. I have fun almost every day
13. I only do what I really feel comfortable doing
14. I’m every day motivated to look HOT and feminine (I like that!!!)
15. I practice my english speaking every day... my english became more fluent and I have a lot of new vocabulary (sexual words, most of them hahaha. I'm kidding)
16. Etc etc etc

If I keep on thinking about this, I would find much more reasons… SO I'M FUCKING GRATEFUL.
Also grateful to this forum and all of you, because I'm always learning through your experiences. You made my path to understand this job way shorter!!!

Thank you for this post .. I feel I need to keep a note of these points to read over when my days haven't been very good. You are correct .. it is a stressful job , you are never guaranteed to know just how much you will earn each night but everyday is different and you can be your own boss .. not many jobs can offer that.
