*AdultWork is a UK-based camsite where models get 65% (70% for pre-booked Skype shows) and can sell videos, pictures, etc. There is an escorts section of the site, so if it seems like you're being asked "Do you escort?" even more than usual, that's probably why. Free video chat mode is optional, so you can just stick to private shows and group shows if you don't wanna bother with free chat.pjc666 said:

MFC and Streamate have better traffic though. Just remember that while a high percentage is nice, it shouldn't be the most important thing. Streamate is the perfect example of this. SM models only get 35%, but many models do very well on there because it gets a lot of traffic. Many models consider SM their "bread and butter."
Is anyone familiar with camcontacts.com ? How is the traffic through that site? I found a comparison of cam sites at

I signed up to adultwork a while ago but never cammed on there. I had it written very clearly on my profile that I am not an escort yet I got some pretty dirty messages, and messages from a dude who apparently wanted to date me and seemed to want to be my pimp or something. There seem to be a lot of guys who want to do "bareback to completion" as several dudes who messaged me called it... It's like... "dude, you're not even going to have sex with me, let alone cum in me!" It was written about 5 times on my profile and very little else was written on it.

CamContacts is an older site used mostly for private chats. If a model has an established group of regulars for private chats, CamContacts is great. When a model refers a member, she gets 80%. If *you* do privates regularly with the model, then have her sign up with Camcontacts. I've used it once, and got billed in 3 or 4 different installments for a single private chat, which I found annoying. She will get 80% of what *you* spend. But then, depending on your relationship, you might as well just use Skype and use Moneygram or something to transfer money to her, and she'll get something like 95%.
But if she doesn't have a lot of regulars, then that doesn't matter. As has been said, her priority is a site with a lot of traffic. And if she is thinking of using a high-traffic site like SM to find members to refer to CC, then she needs to be prepared to get banned from SM, as they are very aware that this will be a temptation for models. If privates are her thing, then SM will be good for her. If not, then Chaturbate should work.
But if she had to leave MFC for "personal reasons", those reasons may follow her to a new site, especially one that relies heavily on public shows, like Chaturbate.

Many cam girls have said that CamContacts' traffic isn't that great, but that it may be a good option if you bring your own traffic (bring over your regulars from elsewhere) and want the higher percentage. Pay percentage starts at 50%, and with referrals you can make up to 80%. Models get paid every two weeks. There is also a Non-Adult category.

By the way, I'm not that familiar with MoneyGram (similar to Western Union, right?), but I would not recommend Western Union for cam girls because you'd have to give the sender your real name. And even if you gave a fake "real name," what if you went to pick up the money and the Customer Service person asked to see your ID? The name they have linked to your funds has to match the name on your ID, right?

Keep in mind that payouts are all relative. 1% of something is still more than 100% of nothing. I'd be looking at traffic just as much as payout percentage :twocents-02cents:

I used to be hardcore mfc model. Now that I have switched to mainly streamate, the lower percentage payout of streamate seems irrelevant compared to the amount of traffic I have been getting.
Even though i was making about 50 percent with mfc, streamate has more traffic that is willing to pay for shows. (whereas mfc has quite a few freeloaders that add to high room counts) Even though i normally have 10-30 people in my room in streamate on average, and only make 36 percent. I am making at least triple every day compared what I made on MFC.
On mfc I could be logged on for hours and not see a token, but on streamate I at least know I will be busy with gold shows and privates and wont get bored.

Hi, I just started modeling a couple weeks ago and went with MFC. As a newbie, I've found this very helpful! I may have to take a peek at Steamate now, once I get more comfortable. ^-^ Do models really use western Union to get paid? I had someone ask to pay me that way today, but because i've never done it, i wasn't sure if it was a scam or a legit way for them to pay. I also didn't want to give my real name. :?
I'm under the impression you would need to give out your real name to get Western Union. Same as Moneygram. So I'd be wary doing it that way.LonelyLulu said:

It's possible that he wasn't trying to scam you, and that he just didn't know any better. I think some of these guys who ask about PayPal or Western Union just don't know any better...while some of them do know it's a bad idea, but couldn't care less what's in the models' best interests.LonelyLulu said:

Cam sites don't usually warn models about PayPal/Western Union...probably because they expect the models to follow the rules and not accept outside payments in the first place. So a lot of models who don't do any research on camming will probably remain unaware, and will continue to make bad decisions that could've been avoided.
CamModelDirectory actually does have a warning about PayPal for models, and Mark will not tolerate models using his site to get PayPal payments.
I used to cam on CWH and camgirls received 70% payouts for being online 100 hrs per month. To date, CWH has the highest payout that I know of.
I believed that it was 50%: 0-20 hrs per month.

65%: 50-99 hrs. per month
From what I remember, they docked 10% of your payout if you weren't exclusive and they had many requirements to remain featured on there (blog, memberchat, content package, forum posts, etc. to name a few).
