Back to the Future Part II (the one where they actually went to the future).

At least, I think that’s what the reference meant.
Yeah. And somehow that movie created this stupid parallel universe we're in with ThatOrangeShitStain, I mean they're practically the same picture.

Maybe I should take a break from here. I'm really tired of the complaining about models and how people don't understand how businesses work and this isn't some janky ass site when it comes to CB. I think people will find any excuse to dislike something when they don't get what they think they are entitled to and the truth is neither customer nor model is entitled to anything other than the basics of human interaction.

Well said, hope you don't take too long a break though, if you end up taking one.

The internet. That’s literally it. Camming is not new by any means. The first cam sites, where viewers could pay for live adult shows, started in the 90’s. The internet, or the World Wide Web, became accessible to the public in the early 90’s a few years after it was first invented at CERN. Basically, as soon as the technology was available to the public (webcams and capable internet speeds), there was adult camming sites.

Sex work has existed for thousands of years. There’s documented evidence of sex work dating back to at least 4,000 years ago. Sex work in the form of porn and prostitution has been around since the beginning of humankind’s existence. Technology has just made it more accessible, but paying for sexual gratification is not some new phenomenon. So, nothing has really “changed” in our lives as far as that goes. The only thing that has changed is the ease of access to it.
Yes you are right .. prostitution is the oldest profession in the world.. after hunger the next basic need for humans is sex .. it has always been around in one form or another .. but the most sexy thing about camming is that it brought out our hidden desire to show ourself to the world and earn from it .. by doing it virtually helped majority of clients and performers to do it from the ease of their homes and minimizing the chances of someone from family and friends to know about it .. tremendous earning opportunities for performers and much larger pool to choose from for customers .. internet and adult camming really removed all the limitations for sex workers which one existed few years ago!!

I feel this.

I swing through “want to help educate” and “too exhausted to help the ignorant and unwilling.” Currently, I’m in “fuck the clowns; where’s my milkshake” stage. No one deserves interaction or dialogue when all they’re looking for is validation of their butt-hurt mistaken opinion of entitlement.

I enjoy this place for the other topics. Music, snacks, general pleasant discourse on random topics.

I’m just in other threads for the food.

♥️ You are loved and respected.

As for complainers...

"I didn't get my orgasm on Friday because the model took my money, so I'm really unhappy and I won't have any more money until next week!!!!" It's all about money, if they had plenty they'd get back in there and get what they want.

Some of these guys seem to think the sites are like street pimps that will punish women for not doing what they wanted, and they want sympathy on the forum because, surprise!, they can't complain to their mom, the cops, their legislator, or heavens! their wife about it.

Be well, all!

Air and water come first. Minor correction, but worth noting.

Air
Water
Food
Shelter
Sexual release

Hierarchy of needs.
If anyone wants to take that single thought further and deeper, check out Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. You might find it interesting/ helpful.

Sorry if I sound like a weenie for this but I wanted to point towards this quote from the 2nd paragraph of the Wikipedia article in case people don't wanna go read it: "Although widely used and researched, the hierarchy of needs has been criticized for its lack of conclusive supporting evidence and its validity remains contested"

Yep, I knew someone would, all good. Wikepedia is a shit source of scientific information, and I knew that when I posted it, but I was just in a rush right then.
It rings true for me, and I find the study of it interesting. I'd be interested what Google scholar has to say about it, but I don't have the time to get that into it today, maybe a future point :shame:
Glad it served as a good jump off point for thought and conversation.

You do not sound like a weenie haha
If anyone delves deeper into it and finds a summary or literature review on its validity or non-validity, I'd be extremely interested. I think everything is technically contested, I'm just not sure to what degree. I'd love to know to what degree it's been contested and found not to be valid, by some.

The main point I take away from it is that we all have physiological needs that are primary, before anything else can be achieved.
As far as the order of things and the labelling of things further up the pyramid, it wouldn't surprise me if some of that wasn't 100% accurate/generalizable.

Something loosely related that has been found by sociologists, is that being rich beyond belief, doesn't actually improve people's self-measured levels of happiness/ contentment etc.

Theres a sharp relation between unhappiness, and not having enough money to cover your basic needs, with a little left over for fun. But as the levels of "leftover for fun" increase, the happiness measures actually don't. We all need enough and happiness can be measured by that to a certain degree. But once we have enough, we're actually not happier having oodles extra, vs just having a small or moderate amount extra.

I was thinking about this the other day. I’m immensely grateful for the “extras” I have in life. I feel very fortunate and I don’t take it for granted. But I wonder how much of it I could get rid of, without impacting my general happiness. I bet it’s more than I realize.

And to @MarieElise ’s point, a lot of them really do seem unhappy. Angry, paranoid, isolated, shallow. It’s like they’ve chosen “stuff” over peace.
I've never wanted to be that kind of rich, but to have maybe a couple of grand in the bank that isn't marked for the shit I am obligated to take care of would be great. That would make me beyond happy.

But if I did have that kind of wealth, I'd be Dolly Parton and give as much of it away as I could.

Same. I bust my ass, and sometimes I have extra, and I tend to spend it on other people like tipping service workers, donating to stuff. I do give homeless people money, which I know is controversial, because there are a lot of homeless people with addiction problems, and lots of people only give food. And I will often ask them what they want from the store, then go get it, but I do give money too. But if I had like millionaire or trillionaire level extra, I'd be giving it all to non-profit children's charities. And homeless services.

And tbh I'd be going out in the city I live every extremely cold night, and extremely hot night, and handing out practical supplies to homeless people, myself.

As much as many people often truly annoy the living shit out of me, I do care for other people a lot.

ETA; Also, yeah, that's the main point I was getting at. It's insanity to give billionaires and trillionaires extra tax breaks. You're not serving them by doing it, you're giving them extra rope to hang themselves, and you're fucking the rest of us over too. People get really compulsive and almost behaviorally addicted to anything that involves money. I'm sure many of them get dopamine hits from "earning" extra, but that's addiction, that's not true peace and happiness. Trickle down effect has been proven by science not to work/ be valid. It doesn't happen.

Anxiety is a bitch.

My kinda MiL (I'm actually not married and hope to God to stay that way) told me that her ex had a mortgage on a house in our city that was only $250. I almost shat my pants. I can't even imagine a monthly mortgage rate that low, and that was for a huge house (he had 3 of his own kids) in a decent neighborhood, back in the 90's. He got the mortgage in the 70s. She was kinda jealous I guess, because hers was $450 for a big house (she also had 3 seperate kids of her own, not with him) that she got in the 80's or 90s. Hearing those numbers just blew my mind. At one point they owned 3 homes, after they hooked up.

The specific numbers blew my mind. Millenials and Gen Z got fucked.
And they wonder why so many are nihilists 🤦‍♀️

(I never meant to post that George Bush thing here yesterday, that was supposed to go somewhere else. I must have been doing too much at once.)

It's absolute insanity. They built a new townhome community nearby. $450,000 for two bedrooms, one car garage that's not attached to the unit, and a street view facing a trailer park and Section 8 housing. And you can probably hear your neighbor sneeze or pee because the walls are basically tissue paper.

But that's not the dealbreaker. You can only lease, not buy.

Yeah, the fuck? This shit gets me so pissed.

And you're right, usually the walls are as thin as tissue paper. I've lived in a lot of places like that through college.
It's fucking insane. It really is. This world is being run by total knob-ends, who are constantly fucking everything up for everyone else 😡

And it's fucked from the inside what with Congress being allowed to own stocks and lobbyists allowed to grease the wheels....circling all the way back to there should be no billionaires.

Entire neighborhoods are being bought and then rented out. In the near future no one will own anything if you don't own it already.

Exactly. It was so obvious it was coming too, but half of us are supporting it/ voting for it? It's fucking insanity, it really is.

Speaking of housing costs, Homeowners Associations are complete bullshit and should not exist.
Dragging my ass paying mine. $500 to send me letters about a fucking weed in the yard. Bitch ain't nobody selling their house right now, fuck off.

Glad you're bringing this up, I'm thinking about purchasing a condo, and if I do I'll be going with 600-700 bucks per month in HOA fees.
I bet they are gonna be strict too.
Before my parents divorced they finally worked their way up to a neighborhood w HOA fees, and I remember my Dad was constantly at war with them.
One of his friends came to stay for a week, and they got on us because his friend had kind of a junky looking car in the driveway. Snots.
And my sister got community service for breaking into the hot tub after hours, she probably deserved that though lol.
She used to play cat and mouse with the security gaurd late at night, because it made her and her friends laugh.

It was gated community with a security guard every night.
And they kept changing the gate code.
Which was locked all day and night, so you couldn't drive in without the right code.
One of our neighbors got pissed and drove his Dodge Ram right through the gate one night, and he was my Dad's hero for months after haha.
That was before the time of cameras everywhere though.

I will say condo HOA and subdivision HOA are two totally different animals. With that kind of money they should be doing all of your yard work for you and anything that breaks on the outside of the condo is their responsibility because they have to maintain all units in a similar manner.

When the chipmunks dug out the mortar in the bricks for the steps at my condo, the HOA replaced it. When it happened at my house in the subdivision I had to pay for it.

Yes, they agree to be responsible for all outside repairs, maintenance and landscaping as well as water/ sewer, garbage service, electricity, internet, and all other utilities are included in that. Plus security. Pool access, hot tub access etc etc

I was surprised they included the internet service.
I for sure thought I'd be on my own for that.
Might be shitty internet though, but it didn't seem to be the times I've stayed there.
I never tried uploading files or streaming, though. I probably wouldn't need to work from there anyway, so that wouldn't matter.
