Advised a new model not to talk about certain things that violate TOS, I got banned instead

Kind of a messed up situation. I was watching a new model. It was only her second stream. She was telling a naughty story about making a video with a boyfriend, and I thought she was violating TOS because it was a story from her recent past. She claimed she turned 18 the week prior. You do the math on that. Clearly not on purpose, just inexperienced.

I sent her a PM that advised her not to talk about her past like that on a stream. Now, I'm the one who's banned. She's not.

I've reached out to support to explain in full. Haven't heard a damn thing in a week. Not even a case number. Nothing.

This is the first time I've faced any kind of suspension or ban. Is there anything else that can be done to be reinstated?

If not, then the lesson for the rest of you is to keep your mouth shut and let models face the consequences of their mistakes.

It really should be a no-brainer that you can't talk about this stuff. On both sides.

Perhaps CB needs to be more blatant about it and just come right out with it -- if you discuss anything that happened before your 18th birthday, you will be banned. Put the fear into them from the very beginning.

Best way to inform a model is to send them a link to the TOS and point out the most important sections to read.

The purple "streams often" calendar trophy (silver) ? Glad you like it that one went through like a hundred revisions based on model feedback because it started out a true silver color and that was actually quite ugly.

Really? With this AI crap taking over and flagging people for every damn thing...I'm surprised that you find it hard to believe that Chaturbate would penalize a member (even one with the best intentions) for saying "Admitting to filming while you were underage could get you banned."

I can't even type out the word "cunt" anymore on Facebook without worrying about a suspension. My sister made a post once using the expression "killing herself" or she could "just die" or "just shoot me" (Something along those lines), and Facebook sent her a message telling her to react out to so and so if she's in a crisis and needs help. Lol.

The op probably would've been okay if he'd sent a link to the TOS, as smoker919 suggested, or if he'd just typed to the model "You can ONLY discuss things that occurred with you at the age of 18 and up,." and left it at that. But as it's been stated...it's not anyone's responsibility to remind models of the rules. So don't feel like you have to protect her.

Doesn't work like that though people say underage and nothing happens to them but now that I look at it again maybe 'filming while you were underage' might? i think there's a good chance he worded it differently but maybe we will never know.
