I collect Hatsune Miku merch! Posters, figurines, shirts, you name it. My entire room looks like a shrine dedicated to my anime waifu at this point, and honestly it's reached the point where I'm a bit embarrassed LOL. I'd be terrified to show any potential new friends or partners how intense it is. The online community seems to appreciate it though!
I have a friend obsessed with Teto who would love this

This one's kinda weird! but it's a guilty pleasure of mine to steal other people's gold balls ( not when they are in play though just abandoned ones) hehe. As you can see I even chronicle it on my phone 🤷‍♀️

I lie to myself and tell myself one day I'll open a miniature golf course .... Realistically though...

Idk now that I made that post I think it might be a bit more thrilling to try to get the one's that are actually in play.
Imagine the rush; hiding behind a tree, waiting for someone to tee off, then running out and grabbing their ball right after it lands hahahahaha.
The other golfers would freak tf out, it would be kinda funny. But hard to get away with long-term 😆 ⛳
A bunch of Boomers would probably end up beating me up.

pokemon cards, yugioh cards, nba cards, afl cards, hot wheels, diecasts, coins, maccas toys.... everything🤓

Oh man, speaking of cards, that's been this year's collectible rabbit hole for me -- nonsports, non-tcg trading cards. Did y'all know that Garbage Pail Kids cards are still being made? I do now, and so does my checking account. Also, there was a trend back in the 1990s to make trading cards of fantasy pinup art, and the cool thing is that sets from so many of my favorite artists (Frazetta, Boris, the Hildebrandt brothers, Larry Elmore, Rowena, Olivia, etc) are pretty easy to find, and super affordable.

And I'm still opening up all the Hot Wheels and Matchbox I got obsessed with last year. That's kind of a benefit of getting hyperfocused on a thing for a while, I suppose; it leaves me with a nice little stockpile I can treat myself with, once the buying mania wears off.

I have been collecting postcards from my travels for years. Each postcard holds a story from the place I visited—a moment frozen in time. Sometimes I find myself flipping through them just to relive a moment from a distant city or a peaceful beach. My collection started with just a few casual picks but grew into something meaningful. One postcard, from a small coastal town, always stands out—it’s the first one I sent to myself as a reminder of that trip. It’s funny how these small pieces of paper can carry so much memory and emotion.

Sending postcards to yourself is a great idea.

Yesterday I woke up a half-hour before my alarm, and found myself looking at listings for milkcaps/POGs on eBay. After spending the last year dropping more cash on Garbage Pail Kids cards than any grown-ass adult should, I was really pleasantly surprised to find that POGs are a bit of fad pulp that remains refreshingly untapped by nostalgia marketing. You can still buy POGs by the pound for a few bucks. Now, to track down some ALF POGs.

started collecting MTG cards again, was supposed to go to a sealed event a few days ago but that didn't happen so ended up buying a couple of packs with the intent to eventually build a deck that I can go to other events and play. plan was to buy a pack (singular) every so often like when I was in town with a couple $ spare...turns out going to the store is such a pain in the ass I just pick up 4 packs at a time to make it seem worth the effort of going😂

MtG (and Pokemon) is an expense I've somehow managed to draw the line at. It's always tempting, especially since MtG and Pokemon have so thoroughly taken over the nonsport trading card market. But MtG is very much a nostalgia trip for me, and I've found I can scratch that itch practically for free by just making proxies.

10 packs in about 4 days and I have the itch like "maybe I just go get another 2"

Part of the fun of packs for me is the not actually knowing whats in them. It really does add up quick though when you're buying more than you expected, $5 a week was what I was expecting to spend at most but I'm already at $50 this week 😂 Soon enough the Avatar / TMNT / Mavel sets will be all thats available for a while so my wallet will get a break then because I have like 0 interest in those sets.

Oh, I know the thrill (and cost) of the chase, to be sure! Last year, I climbed into the same boat with my Garbage Pail Kids collecting. There is a nice rush to ripping open packs, and finding rarities, or getting cards to complete a run. I do enjoy it, and I don't regret the money I've spent on a fun hobby, but I'm glad I'm getting to a point of completion to the few GPK sets I'm collecting.

It dosnt help that in the first 4, I pulled a card (that if I sold it) would cover the cost of the first 4 packs and the second lot of cards pulled a card that (again if I sold it) would have covered half the cost... No intention of selling them because it's hassle but it does make it easy to justify "I'll just grab another couple" 😂

I consider myself a passive aggressive card collector. I can take months or even years off between binges, but when I binge, I can get caught up in the chase pretty quickly. For me, it’s nostalgia cards. I don’t collect for the monetary value, but for the memories and the experience (which helps curb my spending).

I have a collection of unopened GPK packs and a modest collection of the loose stickers I really liked (or that I acquired when I couldn’t resist opening a pack). I like some of the fringe non-sports sets from the 80s and 90s…movies, fads, etc. I’ll buy 40-year-old packs of sports cards just for the thrill of remembering the feeling from being a kid and randomly finding a big star. I approach it like I’ve paid for the entertainment of the pack-opening experience. Whatever cards I get are just a bonus.

Tabs. Open browser tabs. Hundreds of them. I tell myself it's a research system but really it's just hoarding with extra steps. Closest thing I have to a physical collection is a drawer full of cables I'll "definitely need someday."

Then when you finally need that cable you only have one of it you find it's broken and wonder why you put it in the draw instead of throwing it out 😂
