Instead of fixing the site they decide to roll out a proprietary browser that no one can see the code for and is probably a privacy nightmare. If it was about privacy it would be open source and not hidden behind a proprietary veil.

I have been told for over 6 months now they are aware of issues but have no idea if and when they will be fixed. I have been told the same about issues with Firefox and now it makes sense. They do not want you using a browser that has some privacy protections. They want you using the proprietary thing.

Aloha Browser is just a browser like so many other browsers, chromium based and nothing special

they claim privacy and a build in VPN.

I don't know what your problem is when you use firefox ? maybe you can explain ?
If they advice it due to the VPN it's often a problem SC can't really help
But there are more browsers with VPN ( e.g. Opera)

No it is NOT like so many others. Most other chromium browsers are open source...This is proprietary and things can be hidden from users.

No one told you you MUST use it

but you avoid the question
what is the problem with firefox ?
works fine for me even with maximum privacy settings and a hosts based add blocker

I’m confused. I’ve seen the ad when I login to SC asking me to use the Aloha browser, but I’m obviously not going to do that because I’m happy with the one I currently use.

So is Aloha developed by SC?

…and I’m playing a bit of Devil’s Advocate here because I understand about Chromium browsers but others may not.

oh , this is new for me
i thought he was advised to use aloha because of the specific problems he had

till now i see no ownership relation between SC an Aloha.

the question still stands , what is the problem if you don't use it ?
and what does aloha change on it ( it's chromium based just as ofc . chrome )

If a site does not work properly on most normal browsers then that site got a problem

It even has a built-in stream recording feature so you can record your favorite SC model's streams!

----------

For real, it's just their own branded browser. Nothing wrong with it.

If you like pics of the Earth wearing sunglasses to sell you on the concept of using a VPN it's the best thing on the market.

When I tap on the link to the Aloha app it says it’s been developed in Limassol, Cyprus - same as where SC is registered so I figured there’s something there.

No low latency

notifications2.jpg

Notifications get this error. It shows I have notifications on the bell with the red dot but I cannot see them because of the error.

Sound is rarely in sync with the video.

Those at the moment are the most obvious ones.

It does the same on my Android phone version of Firefox and on my PC
