Yesterday, I was streaming with an ex that had asked me to make some money with him because his car was towed. I left the room to go get a drink downstairs and while I was gone he made some horrible jokes about harming himself but has always had dark humor. I got on today to see it says I have a temporary suspension. I will never stream with him again and he genuinely did not mean that. I would've never let him say stuff against the rules if I was in the room. How long will the suspension be and what can I do to make it right? I have no other way to support my autistic son and I am panicking. My username on chaturbate is irispink1. Thank you for your time I am very eager to hear back on what to do.

You're unlikely to get much meaningful correspondence from the CB rep here, so I'll offer some advice based on what's been discussed many times before regarding suspensions involving self-harm concerns.

Sometimes an account can be placed under what are essentially “protective” suspensions when CB has concerns about a broadcaster's safety. This can involve visible injuries, statements or communications suggesting depression or self-harm, even when those statements were intended as jokes, or other circumstances that cause the platform to have safety concerns.

Depending on the circumstances, these cases can require the creator to take some time away from camming and, in some situations, provide documentation from a counselor or therapist before the account is considered for reinstatement. The process can also take considerably longer than people initially expect, so I wouldn't assume that the suspension will necessarily be resolved in a few days or weeks.

I also wouldn't rely on repeatedly contacting support or asking for an exception to make the process go faster. The decision may ultimately be handled by the team responsible for the safety review rather than ordinary support, and there's probably little the forum representative can do to override that process.

In your particular situation, however, there's another point I'd make very clearly to CB support: if the statement that triggered the suspension was made by another person who was appearing on your account, explain exactly what happened and that you were not present when he made the comments. You might also ask whether removing that person from your account and making it clear that he will not be appearing with you again would address their concern.

I can't say whether CB would accept that explanation or whether it would change the suspension, that's entirely up to them, but I think it's worth making that distinction very clear in your ticket.

And don't put all your income plans on hold while waiting for CB's response. If you're able to work on other platforms, start exploring those options now. Even if CB resolves this quickly, having another source of income is better than being completely dependent on one platform.
