Hello @punker barbie,

I’m hoping you can help me escalate my case with Chaturbate Support.

My Chaturbate account was banned while I was moderating the room. I was not broadcasting or doing anything unusual at the time, and I do not understand why my account was banned. AI ban I guess???

I have already contacted Support many times without getting a clear explanation or a resolution, and I do not want to keep submitting duplicate tickets.

Chaturbate username: oooops__quack

I would really appreciate it if you could ask the Support team to manually review my account and tell me the exact reason for the ban.

As far as I know, I did not intentionally violate Chaturbate’s Terms of Service. Since I was simply moderating a room when the ban happened, I believe this may have been a mistake or an automated AI action.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi, @punker barbie thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, my first email was sent on August 22nd, followed by a second one on August 29th. Since then, I’ve continued following up, as I don’t see the point in simply accepting that premise when no one has responded for 10 days.

Almost a month later, I still don’t understand why I was banned in the middle of a stream. Does anyone at CB actually know the reason, or is the AI making these decisions independently?

I believe what I am asking for is a basic and reasonable expectation in any company–consumer relationship. I have consumed thousands of tokens on this platform, which makes me a customer, and as such, I believe I am entitled to understand the reason behind a ban.

To be clear, I am specifically asking why I was banned in the middle of a live stream, while being the sole moderator, with approximately 45,000 users watching. We all know that a significant portion of those accounts may be bots, but that is a separate matter and not relevant to my concern.

My point is very simple: if an action is taken against a paying or long-standing customer, particularly one that directly affects an ongoing live event, there should be a clear explanation of what triggered that action and why it was considered necessary.

Kindly allow our support team sufficient time to review your issue. We appreciate your patience and will respond as soon as possible.

30 days to tell me why I’ve been banned, when I know with 100% certainty that I have done nothing wrong, and now you’re asking for even more time? Is this really a serious support process?

I expect a clear explanation of the reason for the ban and a proper resolution, not an indefinite extension of the investigation. Please escalate this and provide me with a concrete timeline for a final response.

To the moderator: it’s rather ironic that I need a moderator verification when I’m the one who is actually left defenseless here.

CB blocked my account without giving me any explanation as to why, after 30 days, right in the middle of a stream, with my model just about to reach 700k, and somehow I’m the one who is supposed to be at risk here? LOL.

Isn’t this forum supposed to protect the weaker party and help users when something goes wrong? It shouldn’t be about defending the injustices and mistakes of industry giants, they already have more than enough resources to defend themselves.

I’m simply asking for a fair review of what happened and an explanation for the action taken against my account.

You are a new poster, so you go through a moderation queue like all other new users. It’s to avoid spam and harmful posts from going through.

This forum is actually my personal site that I’ve opened up for others to use and interact with each other, it just also happens to have attracted a lot of banned users and luckily for those people, it attracted some site reps from a few of the major cam sites.

If the rep ends up stating that they can no longer help, I lock posts to stop cluttering up my forum with complaints that are never going to be resolved here.

Thanks for your time and the explanation.

Thanks @punker barbie for helping expedite the process. However, as I have said from the very beginning, this ban was completely unjustified and appeared to be entirely random.

I was also absolutely clear from the start that I was 100% certain I had not broken a single CB rule. Not one. That is precisely why I have been asking for an actual explanation of what supposedly triggered the ban, and so far it is quite clear that nobody has been able to provide one.

And now I am being asked to verify that I am of legal age. Is this seriously a joke?

If you would like, though, we can have a very interesting discussion about why this is suddenly an issue now, after all these years during which I was freely allowed to purchase tokens on your platform — with, if I remember correctly, a daily spending limit of around $16,000.

So once again: if the ban was supposedly based on a rule violation, please tell me exactly which rule I broke and what evidence you have for it. Because, as I said from the very beginning, I am 100% certain that I did not violate a single CB rule.

And regarding the age verification request: is this seriously a joke?

As a customer I have had one account banned and a warning on another for mention of 'drug use' . I have asked the model about this and she says she saw nothing wrong in my comments and she is experienced and has done this for a long while and knows the score. I saw someone refer to smoking weed in the same show and would assume they got a warning but to keep getting into trouble for drug references is annoying as is having a banned account result in losing about 8 private shows and 800 tokens.
It is obvious since the greater shift to AI bots to police the comments this is a big problem for us all and it is clear from the amount of performers here having issues - not so much from us users but at the end of the day this isn't our livelihood at stake and we can start a new account.
My issue is as regarding my ban i that there are many phrases that could relate to drug use and also I am in the UK so an innocent word here could mean something else to say a US person. I did make reference to my cat to the performer once and got a warning. It was nothing perverted , so obviously you can t tell anyone they have a nice pussy. AI Bots have no sense of context.

So all this means to me with my new account and another warning for reference to drug use ( would it be me telling the performer i had toothache and took painkillers which I may have said on my last account) that I no longer feel confident purchasing a lot of tokens with the discount in case they are taken from me. That in turn means I tip less impacting the performers' income.

I don't need my case reviewing and make more work for punker barbie who sure has her work cut out and support. But i feel as Bots have no sense of context this is becoming a big issue on both sides. I would imagine Bots have a list of prohibited words and although it would take a lot of reading perhaps they should be set them out in terms and conditions. eg If I said I was going to weed my lawn that would get me a warning.

This is obviously meant for English speakers and God help anyone using a translator.
It would be a shame if us punters have to refrain or worry about engaging with the performers as that was a big part of CB. My favorite is very good at spotting and deleting 'dodgy' comments but I am sure she would prefer to be engaging and performing.

I am just putting in my input from my experience and I will await Support getting back to me ( after 3 weeks but its not my income being affected )
