15 Years - Little Makeover

If there's something I've learned over the years, it's that people don't like change. There will be growing pains!
I know for years people shat on MFC's old school palm tree layout. So they tried to modernize it some time back, and long-time users FREAKED the FUCK out lol. MFC ultimately reverted back to original and made an alternate modern version you can opt into now.
Hopefully CBs goes better.

I am one of those people who freaks out. LOL There's something very comforting about knowing a site like the back of your hand.

Absolutely. Same.
And having to try to run your cam session like usual, while viewers fumble around trying to figure out how to tip or go private and whatnot. Then bitch at YOU as the cammer like you can somehow fix it. The whole chat turns into tech support.... Ugh.

This reminds me of something recently.... I had someone ask if the google play store is used to get discord. My thoughts was... "fuck, I hope they don't spend the 800 for my discord id" lmfao

I was around when CB went from one color for user names to highlighting big tippers in yellow names to the color scheme they have now and every change brought forth a mountain of butt hurt tippers so they had to add an option to hide your user name color and keep it the default light blue.
This should be...a headache...or a good thing. We'll see.

Seems like a lot of sites are "updating" at the minute, but they are all putting the aesthetic over the usability. Wouldn't surprise me at this point if they removed the tip button completely because it looked ugly and are just like "what do you mean it's complicated, you tap the screen twice, wait 0.5 seconds, tap 3 times, wait 2 seconds and then tap the amount of times for the number you want to tip"

If they just tip the amount it still says they tipped for x though right? or has that changed? It's been ages since I have been online properly

Yeah if it's a corresponding menu item for that tip. The clickable menu item links just autopopulate the tip amount and the description goes into the tip note.

Websites always have to evolve to stay relevant. I hope the makeover will encourage users to tip.

I have the new design and the difference is not that extreme
They changed the page header then there is a search bar
it looks nice , the only thing i don't like is that you can't see your username (only the first letter) and your gender.

The message did indicate it was going to be over a period of time instead of flooding us with a bunch of changes at once, which is nice for people like me.

I'm not even going to lie -- if they got rid of supporter accounts I will jump for fucking joy and declare they are the best site EVAR!!!!!!!!!and they forgot a link to "upgrade to supporter"
also the special pages (banned users ..) still have the old tab layout
Goddamn nuisance -- every single person who bought a supporter account. EVERY.ONE.

The biggest problems I've seen with the new design are lack of contrast with the accent and border colours in light mode which literally makes my eyes vibrate, and the inability to open links in new tabs using control+click on Windows or command+click on Mac. Both will be deterrents to users if they don't fix them.

Thanks for the feedback and yes, this is just phase 1. We're taking an incremental approach so we can roll out improvements carefully while keeping the site stable and running smoothly for everyone. Stability is a top priority for us during this transition.
A bigger UI update is on the way, including new ways for viewers to discover you, updated navigation, and refreshed room and broadcast pages. At the same time, we're continuing to focus on reliability and building additional features designed to help you earn more. We appreciate your patience and your input, there's definitely more coming.
