2 Stream Keys For The Same CB Account

Hi everyone...I am in the process of setting up a Windows 11 desktop with all the software needed (Stream Master & OBS). Right now we stream from a Macbook Pro laptop showing the OBS view and run a HDMI cable to a gaming monitor so I can transfer Stream Master and Chaturbate over and enlarge it so we can see the type.

Anyway, I just installed both software's on the Windows desktop and wanted to check before I went any further. Can I generate another Chaturbate Stream Key for the Windows computer without affecting the MacBook OBS? Just in case we want to go mobile and still be able to use the laptop. Or...and I just thought of this, do I need to somehow get the existing Stream Key that is living in the laptop OBS over to the Windows PC so they both have the same string?

Or...setting all that aside, am I correct in saying that OBS doesn't have a login that would just automatically bring all the settings into the Windows 11 pc?

I know I'm probably wording it wrong and confusing people, but any information or advice would be very helpful.....Thanks so much!

Sorry i am a little confused lol. I'm pretty sure if you want to switch devices you have to stop the stream on your first device and restart it on your second or else the website will shut the stream down for duplification? Unless you're planning to broadcast the same stream from two accounts which cb does allow as long as your camera angle is different.

You either copy your existing stream key from OBS to the other device or you generate a new stream key and put it on both devices.

Edit: and by "some how" you mean open OBS settings, reveal the stream key, copy and paste to some place that's private and you can access from another computer?

@stormythunder I knew I didn't explain it correctly ....We would never be streaming from both platforms (Windows & Mac) at the same time. We were just think that "if" we ever wanted to take the MacBook laptop somewhere at some point we also want to have that setup with OBS and Chaturbate. I guess an easier way to ask it would be, can I use the same Streaming Key on two different operating systems (but not at the same time) or do I have to generate a new key for the new Windows desktop computer? And would our Chaturbate account recognize the two OBS softwares as belonging to our room or does it need to be the same string of letters and numbers?

Regarding your "Edit"...."Yes", because I could setup a new Gmail account on the new Windows computer. Then copy the stream key, paste it into an email and send it to myself from the laptop (which we use now), to the new Gmail account on the new computer. Then they could both have the same string of letters and numbers. Also, we would never be running both operating systems at the same time when streaming so I don't really think Chaturbate would care which computer was being used for a show, just that the stream key match's our account/room.

Stream keys aren't device specific. You can use the same key on multiple devices.

I wouldn't be sending keys through email. It's not a huge security threat, but email is not a secure way to transfer sensitive data. The computers are in the same room and on the same network correct? You can just copy the files over [1], or use a "sneaker net" (eg. USB stick).

Well...since you asked I was planning on creating a Gmail account specific to our Chaturbate and two lifestyle websites we are on so I can start keeping things separated from my everyday Gmail account that I use for household bills and such. I'm sorry it wasn't my intention to upset you in anyway by mentioning the idea of creating an email account specific to our lifestyle (Sorry again)

Not at all its just the way you communicate isnt clear I thought perhaps you thought each computer needed its own gmail or something. I think its a great idea to keep the lifestyles separate.
