Anyone Tech Savy Help?

I use my Sony Camcorder as a webcam and haven't had any issues in the past. I try and log my butt onto MFC and the software won't recognize the built in mic so the only way I can get sound is if I plug in a headset and have it sitting in my lap and the sound isn't all that great this way. The other option is put a desktop mic in front of me but that gets awful feedback. Not sure what's up since I haven't had issues in the past. Maybe it's cuz I am now using Vista? Meh! Any insight on how to fix this would be GREATLY appreciated.

There is a mic volume issue with Vista and 7, but I don't know the fix. I'm sure other models have had this issue, and can give some insight.

I just gave up on the whole built in vid camera mic route....

Couldn't get it figured out and I think it is Vista related.

Anyhow, thank you sooooooooooo much for taking the time to respond!! 3
