Guys, no need to keep stirring the pot or sprinkling salt on the wound. I'm sure that now she understands why we were a little put off (mainly that we felt a little used then left hanging and no other interest in being on the forum other than utilizing members to take the survey.)

Maybe people missed the link, below are the actual data slides from the presentation.

I'm a little surprised how little data there is here for how long people claimed the survey to take.

I'm not there the survey questions aren't focused on any sense of correlating values. This wasn't a survey as much as Seventeen Magazine style questionare.

If her survey was to ask questions to 'help' industry models I would framed it this way;
1. You don't need to know previous education and work when the entry to being a model is only based on computer equipment and internet access. They may be interesting but not important.
2. Questions need to branch to correlate. Some will be the same but things like Region, indi or studio, private or public site or if they're view this as a career or short term job should be branched independent because how much these things deviate a models situation
3. More questions about work hours put in vs profit output need to be added. The 'easy money' or 'hard work' statements should be quantified and averaged.
4. More questions about stress increase over time spent needs to be quantified. One of the largest issues/arguements I see from this site regarding models is what creates the victim narrative and how often it's used. Models are many times their own bosses but will still play the victim and these claims create sterotypes that aren't helpful in general.
5. How models use their income. We see models even unaware they own taxes or they can deduct or might need better equipment to increase value. Questions that show how responsible models are behaving after they get paid would give good insight
6. What models view as their 'risks'. We heard models always worried about random members but statistics show you generally ALREADY know the person that is going to hurt you so stats showing where models see threats and where confirmed threats to them have actually come from would really help.
7. Questions on ethics and morality. As a member I would be interested in what models feel is ok to be 'untruthful' about and what not. There are a lot of double standards in regard to things like this and some questions like these would be helpful.

Of course this is just my opinion but I would find things like these would REALLY help the industry because they cover many of the career long issues models deal with and things that often lead to misunderstanding or working with members.

Hmm, I disagree on the previous work history and education. I believe it shows demographics of education and work backgroun. It could show a trend in how easy clip editing, or computer skills in general are to someone with a business degree or education as compared to someone that only worked retail or food service. It also can show a difference between what one considers income levels as well.

IMO, this would also apply to us members when it comes to income and how much we're spending. $200 to someone making minimum wage is a lot of money as compared to someone making $150K or more.

Except degrees and education don't 1 to 1 translate into computer skills or practical experience. I know Harvard grads that can't even check their own email. A separate questions about a models computer experience (which is on the new survey already) would be more specific information. You don't want questions that in themselves create assumption in a survey like this when you want specifics. It's just better to ask 'rate your competency with the equipment you use for camming', vs 'rate your education'. There are many 'smart' dumb people out there.

Agreed on the competency levels. But, work/education demographics are almost always a part of the equation in any survey such as this.

How many participated in the survey?

We had more than 500 participants and responses to the model survey from across the globe. This was great considering it was not just a quick 3 minute survey and an industry first.

This ^^
Except, I think it did take me about 25 mins, or possibly a little less, but around that time.
Seeing the results from last year, in thread (thanks @AmberCutie ), motivated me to take part in the survey for first time. Before I saw actual results, in thread, I wasn't going to. Just a visual thing and perception of ease, in involvement. Not a criticism, just being honest, and providing more info, for continued success in getting folks to take it. Very interesting, thanks @LittleRedBunny Academy.

I appreciate the feedback and input. Actually some of what you are presenting is in the survey, but as I stated in the post for this year, I shortened the survey to make it easier and faster to take as one of the primary suggestions of feedback was it took too long to take. There is no perfect survey that everyone will be happy with but I am doing my best to get relevant information to improve what can be improved. And form the data we got last year and are getting this year, we will adapt next years survey accordingly. And this is a little more than a "Seventeen Magazine style questionnaire."

Thanks for taking the time to take the survey! I really appreciate it. I will continue to learn and take constructive feedback to make it better and easier each year and hopefully will continue to see more positive responses.

Thank you for posting this directly to the thread, Amber. The reason the survey took a long time to do last year is because there were a few questions where we had to elaborate in a sort of essay format...I am sure most participants probably wrote a 3 word sentence but if you took the time to actually answer what was being asked and do so insightfully it took you more than a couple of minutes. I also think the information on the slides is simple and basic... things that any camsite could share like the breakdown of the per minute rate of their models in private shows... but perhaps they are waiting for their specialists and data professionals to analyze the answers and come through with something a bit more interesting.

I posted the full video of my 2019 OnlineCamSummit presentation of some of the survey data from last year. It also explains a little about me, my motivations to create the survey and the goals of the survey. If you are interested in just getting the data we discussed, there is also a shorter video edited to show just the main presentation of the data in the video. This was done on short notice right after the survey ended, so please forgive how rough it is.

Under the videos, there are images of the most relevant slides from the presentation which gives more data and a fuller context than what images were posted by Amber on here previously.

Again, thank you for your interest in the survey, and as always, a huge thank you for everyone who took the survey last year and this year. It is always greatly appreciated!

Took the survey cause I was curious and love data. Definitely took me more than 25 mins though. Looking forward to the results, hope it doesn't take as long as last time :p
Thank you for doing it before and you're welcome to give feedback as if this year did improve on the time it took to fill it out! I really tried to keep as relevant yet easier and shorter, even though we added some things based on a demand expressed on certain topics from last year survey.
