I've been camming for about a month now, and I can't seem to get anywhere. I broadcast on Chaturbate (happyredrose89) and I'm on usually a few days a week for a few hrs each time, always similar hours. I've bought a HD cam, a viewer bought me a good mic, I have toys including a lovense. I can't seem to get more then 20-50 ppl in my room at a time and getting tips is like pulling teeth. I'm working on my setup in regards to background (currently in living room trying to move to bedroom). I have a friend who has been helping me with apps and bots and even bought be a Hitachi Wand and I'm still stuck. My goal is to try and be above 100 ppl steady every night and make around 1000 tkns plus and go up from there. I try different apps to keep it interesting, I smile and talk to everyone best I can. I really enjoy the shows but I need to be doing better if I want to keep being able to do them.

PS I'm working on Model Status

Honestly, I didn't try for very long, but I switched from Chaturbate to Streamate and have had a lot more luck. I can't really speak to success on public based sites because I didn't have much, but I think you need a good setup/show plans/etc to start with or it's just a straight up long haul. My current plan is to work on SM until I am able to set up my spare room as a proper cam room and am more confident performing (really get to know camera angles, etc), and then try public shows again. They seem to have higher earning potential and were more fun for me because I liked hanging out and chatting, but - from what I can tell - you need a certain combination of personality, creativity, and environment to succeed. It's also worth noting that CB placement is based largely on the number of people in your room, so a less populated room means less people see you and the harder it is to fill up. Vicious cycle.
