So I log on to Chaturbate today and an anime/hentai broadcaster is in the top 3 list. Begs the question of wth they verified. Different strokes for different folks I guess. But, given that Chaturbate has become a "bot" site I'll tip my favorite broadcasters in Amazon gift-cards rather than tokens until their management can fix their image.

There's probably a secret section that only applies to people they don't like lol
It does feel that way sometimes with some of the reasons I have had for being banned tbh

This Melody one isn't showing on the feature or female page for me. Even though it has 12k viewers, it only shows on "new". And i am not blocked, I am able to view fine. but her moans are more fake than ehotlovea wow

Same I couldnt find her unless I went to the new page in the footer of the site. It dosnt look like motion capture to me, it looks like a base set of animations, that she selects based on whats going on with the chat. I only watched for a couple of minutes tho so maybe there are some animations I didnt see (or something to make me think it was motion capture) but from what I was there were about 8 separate animations, I am sure there are other animations to deal with other requests, but there really wasnt anything that made it seem like motion capture to me.

Um excuuuuuuuse me. I'm a level 23 sorcerer. I teleport. Broomsticks are for cleaning. (Lol this guy)
It was worth reading this whole thread, just to read this response ROFL!!

Amazon gift cards do pretty much suck, as payment. I'll take them once in a while, from someone who I really like (for customs only), but overall they are not a very motivating form of payment. They cannot be redeemed for cash (as far as I know), and they have zero effect on ranking on any of the sites. If they are a true gift sure, but as a payment, they rank right down there with drawings of me, and lingerie I don't want, or didn't chose... I'd rather get less, after site takes cut, but see my ranking etc improve, than get more money via an amazon gift card, that I can't really do shit, that matters to me, with. Even their grocery service is kind of over priced, so the money would be better spent (for me) in an actual grocery store (ie I would get more for the money).

I think it's the same GAME as the jenny starveling person uses. I dunno exactly, but that's what it looks like.

Edit:
Which is odd as well cos I have seen people get in trouble for using/streaming video games etc

Edit 2:
Second Life = game name i think?

Sometimes it just feels like chaturbate dosnt like me
Chaturbate is just fucking stupid the way they run their auto ban algorithms.

Super. Fucking. Stupid.

People can talk shit all day about how MFC has some tech issues, but they don't have some auto-preset to ban models who are EARNING THEM MONEY for things that aren't actually against the rules.

As much as I can appreciate MFC being girl only, sometimes I do wish they allowed male models so you guys who actually are serious about your camming job could have a good site to call home.

EDIT TO ADD:

MFC would never let this cartoon shit stand. They have more integrity when it comes to shady crap like this. And there IS competition at MFC, called camscore and Miss MFC ranks, so they'd hear it up the ass if they ever let a cartoon being run by someone in a bathrobe voicing a cartoon take the place of an actual human on screen earning their position.

That's what I like about MFC. They have integrity. :) (At least I hope they do)

I swear they do, and the integrity is letting the models do what they need to do WITHIN REASON to make their money.

Second Life = game name i think?

The animations are pretty rudimentary overall, and I wouldn't be surprised if she was mostly choosing from a menu of poses. I did watch for a while earlier, and little quirks would happen, like hearing her take a drink of something, and seeing the toon's arms flail around randomly, while she's probably reaching for her beverage. That leads me to believe that there's at least some mocap happening. There's definitely facial animation happening, but it seems more aligned to vocal cues, rather than visual cues. It's hard to tell, though, since the style of the model being used doesn't seem to allow for too much range of expression, and the camera is set pretty far away from her.

I'd really be interested to know what program is being used. Somebody in Melody's room mentioned VRChat, which feels like a natural progression from something like Second Life, and it very much may be what's being used. It seems like maybe this aspect of live animated avatars is only just starting to make an appearance outside of niche groups, though. I think it's pretty cool, especially when people roll the dice on expanding the possibilities of this sort of stuff into broader culture -- and everybody knows that use in porn can really help the long-term success of emerging technology. If you think about it, this sort of thing is really not too far removed from what Snapchat filters already do.

There's also dedicated software that's readily available and pretty affordable which is specifically designed to do what is being done here, with the aim of opening up the technology to more professional applications. That's what really intrigues me -- especially because the possibility is there for more than just 3D models and flash animation. For a little while, I've been fiddling around with Live2D (which rigs 2D drawings for animation like 3D models) and FaceRig (which I had linked in an earlier post) has plugins for that program. The power to be able to animate anything you draw, and then use those animations responsively in a livestream, that's just straight up fucking magic.

I have been banned for 100's of stupid reasons though, like not having id for the second person on cam when I am next to a mirror :/
:-D make me recall this other thread about reverting her cam .. how dangerous this can be haha

Anyway, bans mostly follow viewers' reports. I'be been banned as being under-aged (56 yo bearded ^^)
So, is this room reported ?

Second life was actually a 3d remanent world.
A kind of big chatroom were you could create your avatar and objects in game (clothes, things, landscape, your own avatar's shape and... almost all in fact ^^).
you could also buy and sell your creations for real money.

The screenshot given for the 'whaaaat' room really looked like 2nd life (nostalgy ...)

<edit:
I never saw her before, but seeing her twitter, it seems that jennystarvelling broadcasts since 2018 on cb... so, the pain seems to not be a soooo urgent thing.>

Funny to come across this from one of the higher earning Twitch streamers (well, he's on hiatus...)

With things like this though you never know if they know each other and he is tweeting to help promote.
Having been a subscriber and a very frequent viewer of Asmon I can guarantee he is not helping promote. He just likes talking about weird/controversial shit happening in the stream world.

The moment this crosses over to MFC. (And I hope you are right about MFC's integrity @AmberCutie ) I'm done with the cam world.
Albeit, I'm just one random drop in the entire ocean we know as the cam world :)

Probable VRChat, but it could just as easily be a custom Unity app.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're using Lighthouse, HTV Vive, Valve Knuckles controllers, possibly 3 Vive Trackers to get tracking for torso and feet.

Lots of people already do character mods for VRChat in Unity.

They're not the first to use it. There actually a few models who have been mixing it into their shows for the last year.
Also doing hybrid shows, Like putting their VRChat avatar into their bedroom. Or putting themselves into VRChat. Selling access to their show in VRChat.

Vive is like 399.00
Nuckles is like 279.00
3 trackers 300.00

A compute that can handle it is probable handle VR and streaming probable at least 1,000.

Hardest part about Live2D is the art. You would basically have to draw or hire an artist to do everything. And the replay value might not be that great.

FaceRig has gotten easier to do rigging, and it now supports full body. I mean you can use perception neuron body tracking, with a runcam for face tracking. Neuron would probable get you smoother body tracking, but not sure at how well FaceRig is at doing human bits. Or multi body tracking, or say furniture.

A custom facerig model can cost 1,100+, and that's not usually great quality. Probable looking at more like 2,000+.
Camera for face tracking is like 300.
Nuron is like 1,799.00 - 5,999.00 depending on options.

The more I watched Melody last night, the more I had the feeling that's the sort of setup being used. Hell, it's equipment and software a lot of folks already have, just for entertainment purposes, so the barrier for entry is pretty low. I haven't used VRChat, but the descriptions and video I've seen of it gels pretty well with how Melody is presented.

I would love to see other models doing this sort of stuff. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Until yesterday, I didn't even know someone like jennystarveling was working the Second Life angle, even though it's a great idea.

Not to mention a FaceRig Studio license, which starts at $300. The Live2D version is $450. There are definitely startup costs, especially now, when it's only just becoming a blip on the market.

That's where providing a stock content service might really be something worth exploring as a business. Mitigate the up-front costs of content creation for performers by creating something modular, that can be personalized, but isn't fully custom. Maybe there are already people doing this sort of work, but rigging and morphing 2D drawings as a form of animation is still pretty new. Stock 3D models are already available in abundance, so going that route is absolutely the path of least resistance. I guess, since I'm a cartoonist myself, I just prefer the idea of a hand-drawn aesthetic, and am taken with the possibilities it represents.

I'm not particularly techie -- more "competent user" level -- I can draw and I can animate, but coding ain't for me. I still can't shake the thought that this is something worth pursuing. There are a lot of avenues this can be taken down, aside from camming, and creating readily-available content to be used at low cost could go a long long way toward making this software more widespread and available to everyone, and just as importantly, suitable to many different tastes.

Feels like something I might be spending a lot of my immediate free time puzzling through.

ProjektMelody is a virtual avatar of a woman who claims to be the world's first hentai camgirl. When she's not on YouTube, she gives regular, live shows on the camming site Chaturbate, where she dances and fondles herself for tips. She's not real, but there's a real person in there somewhere, moving her arms and speaking into a microphone to any of her 14,300 followers currently in the live chat. She only started streaming three days ago.

What projektmelody is reminding me of is how Piper Blush went on Chaturbate as one of her social experiments and took the site by storm for the short duration of time she was on there.

When I first saw @Whatman post about Melody, I assumed he had prob fallen in love, and was prob letting us know that he is moving over to Chaturbate.
I am prob 100% wrong though.

It’s a different model and I think a different crew behind it. This one is technically much better than the first but like the other doll... novelty will fade and it will sink to page 30 in a couple months

I just read the vice article (well some of it) on the digital cam model. The creator said it was made in unity, a video game engine...It dosnt have the ability to do live motion capture, you do the motion capture to make pre-recorded animations for your character rig to be triggers by controller input, they could be vr controlers that are used to move the arms and the head, but at the base of it, it's still a video game. I think the idea is cool, but I dont think a live cam site where no other streamers are allowed to stream a video game (which is essentially what it is, as you are using input to control a digital character through a range of pre-recorded animations) is the right place for it. Chaturbate has said many times they dont allow for the streaming of video games on the platform but I am assuming they are not doing anything about the account because of the money it's making. My issue isnt with the account, it's with chaturbate for having different rules for different people.
