Okay, so. I don't have this fetish/lifestyle choice, nor do I know anyone (I think) who does.
But I don't have a problem with it. Consenting adults consenting to other adults. That's all I see.

What bothers me the most about this story is nothing in the article itself, but the comments below.

Why? Why is it so wrong? They're adults, they're consenting to other adults, these are their own lives.

I do not understand exactly why this is so "sick" or "disturbing".
So they want to wear diapers and suck on binkies to relax, awesome.
I find that much more acceptable than getting black-out drunk and potentially getting in a fatal accident. (That was not a stab at anyone who drinks. I respect your choices. I'm just trying to make a point.)

So yeah. Thoughts?

I always thought grown people pooing in diapers and getting someone else to change them by choice instead of medical necessity was gross. I would strongly prefer they do this in their home, or in gatherings of like minded individuals. I am not saying they can not walk around in a diaper in public if they want, just that I would prefer not having to see it if at all possible. If they wore some kind of cute onesie I would probably not care at all.

As for the fetish and people's reactions- that's the basic reaction of people to something they just don't understand. If they saw some of the stuff I've done and will do, I'd be labeled a "sicko," a "wife abuser," a "rapist," "insane." I don't deny most of that, as a member of a fringe community, I exist outside the norm. I'm used to this, I've always been there. Humans tend to have these strange violent reactions to behaviors they don't understand in other humans. "Weird" is seen as bad when, actually, it's just different.

Like I said they are free to do it in public if they want, but I have just as much right to be displeased at having to see it. I am not one of those people who tries to make people live my way, but that does not mean I have to like their lifestyle choices. I think it's just ignorance on their part. They don't know or understand why people would want to do this and probably assumed it's something to do with paedophilia, or something that happend when they were a infant. I saw a segment on Sexcetera about adult babies and the guy on it said that it was just a way to forget about all the stresses of being an adult and go back to a simplier time. I can understand that and it seems a fairly harmless fetish, people just don't always react well to something different that they can't understand.

There are quite a few adult babies who roam Streamate looking for a temp female adult cyber-companion. There's also a few guys who desperately want me to purchase adult diapers and wear them in private (on MFC) or exclusive (on streamate), and they are quite bummed that it's not my thing.

I have no problem with the former, and apologize to them as I turn down their requests, because while I don't mind that they have the fetish, I would be uncomfortable participating in it. Far as I know, ABDL isn't usually sexual in nature. That isn't to say some aren't turned on when getting changed; I've witnessed a friend having an erection while being changed, but nothing came of it (Pun intended!). And not all of them go so far as to shit themselves, though, that may have more to do with finding a willing partner to change the diaper.

I love fetishes, have no issues with anything between consenting adults whatsoever.

As far as adult baby and the like, it doesn't gross me out or anything but I would have an objection to someone being changed in a public place such as just a random public restroom (where kids have the potential to see). I hadn't even thought of that part... Yes there is an element that it should be behind closed doors. To be fair even just them being taken around the park dressed/acting like that could be pretty disturbing for a child to see. Although with some they don't actually wank over it, it is a sexual fetish, and therefore something I don't really think children should be exposed to, in the same way that a woman shouldn't jerk a guy off in public where kids can see, even if no one can actually see what's happening/everything's covered up. There are certain things that should happen behind closed doors.

As for the public changing, a man shouldn't go into a woman's public toilets anyway, nor should a woman go into a mans. I don't like seeing real babies getting changed although it's obviously necessary so I'll ignore it, but seeing a fully grown man (especially a stranger) being changed would really upset me. Jeeze, seeing a fully grown man sat there with no bottoms on would possibly be a cause for therapy! Let alone if a child saw something like that.

Sexual activities should be confined to indoors/your own homes or specific places made for those kinds of acts. If someone wants to wear a nappy or something under clothes, or something babylike underneath, that's one thing, because it can't be seen, no one will notice.
Although I think this, and many other fetishes are perfectly healthy, they don't need to be rubbed in everyone's faces.
