Anyway it's interesting talk about Romania being so cheap. I read that Bulgaria's tourism keeps rising simply because people find out how cheap that place is. Also surprised that's a country where caming isn't more popular considering cost of living vs income.
Hey Highlander, Romania used to be cheap, but in present the reality is different. Some basic stuffs like food, electricity, gas can be more expensive comparative with Western-European countries. There is a long discussion and I'm doing my best to keep the discussion oriented to the camming industry.
Long story short, we managed to sell most of our natural resources to other countries and some of it, gets back to us double/triple/or more the price. I'll give just one example, we sold some natural gas from Black Sea to a USA company, Austria wants his share as Austria and România are strongly connected economically. Hence Austria doesn't want us in Shenghen!
Fortunately the new generation started to had enough and they are willing to fight back in response to exploatation. We talk about billions of $ of natural gas from Black Sea, so much gas that can power several countries for many years.
Bulgaria din a great job în the last 20+ years with summer tourism over the Black Sea seaside. They hired experts in Tourism from all over the world and constantly working improving all services while keeping low costs. Maybe half of Romanian tourists if not even more, prefer Bulgaria, Greece etc. for their summer vacation not just because is cheaper but also because of their better services. We as Romanian took their example in the recent years and did a lot of positive development however almost everything is overpriced during the summer season.
In Bulgaria most probably camming will never be popular, they have very beautiful girls as well but it's a different culture, different mind-set and Bulgarian girls, generally speaking, are not so open to adult related things.
