Hi everyone,

Thinking about getting started in the business, however I won't be able to work from home at the moment.

What's the deal with working from hotels, airbnb, etc? My primary concern is the internet connection.

Thanks!

If you use the search function on this site you'll find a bunch of answers to what you're looking for.
Most hotels have adult websites banned on their internet connection, so you wouldn't be able to access them.
AirBnB hates sex workers and if they find out you are using their services to film or cam, your account with them can be banned.
You have to decide: will the cost of renting a hotel and potentially using a hotspot for internet, be earned back + more by camming there?

I've cammed from lots of hotels and I've never been in one that had any adult sites blocked. Libraries, on the other hand, usually have adult websites blocked, but many sites don't allow public shows nowadays anyways.

At some hotels, the Internet was slow as fuck, and it was decent to good in others. Usually the closer I am to the front desk, the better the Internet. You can always use a hotspot too, but this can get expensive.

I don't know what camsite you're on, but on Streamate, high speed Internet is very important for your placement.

I've never heard of Airbnb having a problem with camgirls-only escorts. And escorting is illegal in most states. Camming is legal. Some Airbnb hosts may frown upon you camming from their place, but you can check out the places and see if you will be sharing the place with the hosts and/or other people, or if you get the whole place to yourself. As long as you keep your voice down, I don't see why camming would be an issue at an Airbnb. It's perfectly legal and none of their business.

It might be none of Airbnb's business, but I'm not sure we could say the same about the owner of the place. It would be the same as filming any kind of content in someone's house without their permission. I don't feel like it's ethical at all.

I’m pretty sure at least clios4sale has a clause stating you have to have the owners permission.

There are definitely camgirls banned from Airbnb. Itskristiebish had a terrible experience

I feel like when it comes to cost comparison, perhaps renting a small studio apartment and working from there with some basic sound proofing might be a good idea? Hotels where I live can range from 100+ a night for the cheapest one, then you may pay to use a hot spot- where a studio with utilities included can run around 700 dollars, maybe 60 a month for the top speed internet. That's less than a week in a hotel. If you are just starting camming, it could take a little time to establish, make decent money etc.

Of course furnishings/neighbors/soundproofing/ credit/lease time commitnent etc would all go into renting a place- but depending on the amount of time you would be staying in hotels, probably cheaper in the long run.

Air bnb to me is like paypal. Stay away when it comes to any adult work.

Pso and clips are great alternatives when you are unable to stream at home.

I'm also hearing more & more Airbnb properties are using security cams - including hidden surveillance - for their own precautionary measures. So there's that.

As for hotels, they're hit & miss in terms of wifi speeds. Before booking a room, my only suggestion is to read customer reviews to see if there's any mention of wifi quality.

more reasons for me to never leave my house :nailbiting:

I don’t think it is unethical to cam from an airbnb cause it is “someone’s house”. Many camgirls are tenants as opposed to property owners and so they also cam from “someone’s house” I am sure many landlords would frown upon you camming but I don’t think many camgirls ask their landlords for permission to cam. I think this is ethical because it is legal and personal beliefs should be kept aside on transactions like this otherwise where do you draw the line? Should you tell your landlord you are a swinger in case he disapproved of you sleeping with other people in his house? Should you tell him you are gay or have incest fetishes? Should you tell him you watch porn from his living room? Many people have issues with all the above and it doesn’t make it unethical to engage in them if you are renting a property, doesn’t matter if it’s for a day or for a year.

I have worked in senior management for a large hotel chain...

Any large internal hotel will not care if you cam in your room as long as:

There are no noise complaints
You keep the place reasonably clean... No squirting on the carpet or furniture...

The wifi will be the biggest issue as it will vary between each hotel, although all large chain hotels will have minimum standards to meet. Most big hotels will shape their internet so if you use a lot they will automatically throttle you during peak demand times.

Also consider the lighting needs you might have to give a nice broadcast.

I saw a lot of girls work in a hotel. Hotel won't know what are you doing right ?
you just do not make anythings broken in the anb or hotel

I plan on camming from an AirBnB while on vacation next month. We are renting an entire place, so there won't be any issues with extra people or privacy. I personally don't see any problems with it as long as nothing too personal of theirs ends up on cam. Also lighting could be an issue, some extra lighting might be needed!

Wow, I never knew Airbnb had such a problem against camgirls-good to know. I've never stayed at an airbnb because the only ones I've looked for that were a reasonable price had the hosts or other people staying at them during the dates I was searching for. I'd rather have my own space and not have to share a bathroom with other people and be able to cam and not worry about it in a hotel room for a comparable price. Only issue with hotels is that the speed can be hit or miss, and you can always bring your own hotspot along to a hotel in case the wifi is slow.
