Can models paste image links to the chat window?

As a member, I can type a link to an image (not an emote) in the chat window and a tiny pic will show up. So I type this:

..... Kachow! http://a3.twimg.com/profile_images/1366759275/cars-mcqueen_normal.jpg

And this will show up in the chat window:

..... Kachow!

But it seems when a model does the same thing, she will end up with just a link to the image, like this:

.... Kachow! http://a3.twimg.com/profile_images/1366759275/cars-mcqueen_normal.jpg

I've seen this happen in a few model's rooms. Is that how it is for all models or do they have to configure something to make it work?

This is not for emotes (like :lol or something). This is for when you type a link to an image (http://...jpg) in the chat window.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Also, apparently from what various models have said, a pasted image link cannot be seen by the model other than as a tiny picture, whereas members can click on the picture and have it pop up to full size.

I've posted image links to preview emotes for models and they could see the image and the enlarged image when they clicked on it.

So that lead me to the next question. Why can some models do this, very normal thing, and for many it doesn't work? I suspect it's something in their settings, connection speed, or a combination.

Reason I suspect connection speed is, I've noticed that someone links to a large image, if I click on the small picture, it doesn't pop up, sometimes, until I click it multiple times...although I don't think it's the repeated clicking that helps...it's more about waiting for the large image to actually load.

I've wondered the same... Also, why it is that some models seem to be able to use the chat posted links for Youtube or other music sites. The majority of models I know say they cant use any links from the chat [like any member can] and to send them mfc mail so they will be active and clickable.....

I don't mean that a model can or can't click on the link. I mean that if a model types in a URL to an image like "http://blahblah.com/pic.jpg" in her chat room, the users will see that text as a link, like this:

......http://blahblah.com/pic.jpg

But if I type in that same link in the chat room, a little pic of the image will show up in the chat room. So if I type "http://blahblah.com/pic.jpg <Enter>", what shows up in chat is a tiny version of the pic like this:

I was wondering about that. The difference in how a URL to an image is handled between if a model or member types it in.

I suspect it's a combination of having to explain what to do, them having to pay attention, connection speed the first time they tried it and, frankly, care factor on their part lol.

Well, maybe you don't know. That's fine. There are lots of other people on here who may have experience with this matter.

Perhaps a model will post how she sees the little pictures when she types an image URL. Then maybe we can ask her if she has any special settings and figure out why. Or maybe many models will post how how they all see the URL as a link and then we can infer that it's the same for all models.
