Hi all... I am fairly new to MFC. I have finished my profile and before I really start camming I would like to have a short cut list for commands. I have seen all of the wiki commands but I know there has to be plenty more. Example: How do you set a timer? How do you make your topic pop up repeatedly? How do you make cute GIF pictures during countdowns?

Those are just a few that I have wondered about. If anyone can help me out all commands are appreciated!!!!

I am not sure if models have any sort of special timers through their interface with the site, but the timers that you see in chat are emoticons (for example, :5mintimer or something like that). You can look up emoticons and gifs by clicking on the little smily face or picture at the side of the box where you type in text for chat. I think that it's possible to save a list of your favorite emoticons, so you don't have to remember them or look them up each time. You can also submit your own gifs or images to the library and set a name for it :nameofyourimage. It's also possible paste the direct link to an image address the text entry box, and it should appear in chat when you hit return, though it's a crapshoot if the image will actually work.

There are also timers (as well as other special effects) that are part of the software that comes with the cam if you're using something other than the built in camera on the computer / laptop.

Yeah look up Manycam, you use it as your video source and can include little graphics or text display over your cam feed, as well as use built in clocks/timer displays within the program.

I didn't think models had that button. Has something changed?

I thought models could only lookup emots by going to http://www.myfreecams.com/mfc2/php/user_chat_images.php (while logged in). search for a code. then they'd need to copy/paste, or just remember and type in the emot code.

I've been wondering about this too! I've also seen people post a 10min timer for example, and then post it again but it's synced up with the last one that was posted. Does it do that automatically?

Another one I'm wondering about is how to insert images in chat. As a member I can do it fine, but not as a model. I have trouble with the web broadcaster so I always use the downloadable program, might be that...

Each timer is the same picture, reposting just has it showing up in multiple places. Different people will see the timer at different points depending on when it was loaded in their window also.

They aren't timers at all, and they aren't very reliable for all but the most basic use. They are simple images.

So whenever it first gets posted in chat each persons computer downloads a copy of the image to their browsers cache. So if someone posts the same emote again it will still show the same time as the one posted a little before. But if someone new comes into the room after a few minutes the image would show the original starting time for them.

Everyone that's been in the room would see 4 minutes left on a 10 minute timer. But all the people that came in the room after it was first posted would see 10 minutes if it were posted again.

Also if you actually time them, several aren't even accurate. They are off in their timing.
