Well it actually happened for the first time in 5 years lol... I got a site warning last night for broadcasting copyright violation: playing games / movies etc

I wasn't sure what the violation was as I had my webcam pointed at some random Lego model & playing copyright free music on Spotify (I also have a copyright free disclaimer for the music I play in my bio on Chaturbate).

But after checking with @punker barbie (thank you btw lol), I found out that Lego wasn't allowed as its Copyrighted & trademarked, plus some of the music on Spotify isn't copyrighted. But I have assured that the music I play IS copyright free:

NoCopyrightSounds:

Sorry if the links isnt allowed, but just wanted to point to the Spotify url to prove it is copyright free ;)

But saying all this.. if Lego isn't allowed because its Copyright & Trademarked, wouldn't this also apply to virtually everything else thats on a webcam feed as in clothes, computers, a game controller, etc etc

Just wondering what other models & users thoughts are on this subject ;)

hopefully underwear, adult toys companies want the free promotion they're getting on adult websites.

It's allot easier to train a deep learning program to spot legos then it is to spot a specific set of underwear.

hahahaha Can you see Calvin Klein DMCA'ing Chaturbate saying they don't want to be associated with an adult site, as their logos are HUGE

CAREFUL! Don't scare CB into this idea, they'll start banning for it tomorrow just to be safe!

New CB rule: You all must cam from plain white walled rooms and wear clothing that is all black. Nothing else.

Do you really think lego said something? That would be interesting.

I was thinking a totally dark room where nothing was seen to be safe. But, even then one might say something wrong.

CB isn't filing the DCMA take downs. They receive them from the copyright holders. Right or wrong, copyright holders are making claims.

Youtube, PornHub, SoundCloud, Twitter, extra, all deal with this issue.

Technically, this is incorrect. CB is filing the claims, however, they require the person whose content has been stolen to provide them with links to the content so the claim can be filed.

I highly doubt it lol, theres not many broadcasters that go on Chaturbate making models of Lego. Plus as I've stated there was only 1 person in my room the whole time and I'm hidden from the browser section (not to appear on the homepage).

If I saw cb make such an announcement, i'd see it as progress. Silly rule but at least it's clear and we'd know about it.
They would probably only enforce it like half the time and it would be just as confusing lol

We're still waiting for the ToS to be updated as the last time they were updated was in July.

The one thing Roydz and I have been asking CB for is for an explicit set of written rules so that there's no speculation on whether something is against the rules or not. We've been told that the TOS is currently in progress of being updated, so we'll see if we get what we've been wanting soon enough.

The lego stuff is over the top of course but isn't music on cam one of these things that you better don't ask if allowed or not, because you will not like the answer you get from camsites?

I had the idea in the past of explicitly adding copyrighted music to my stream and then send a friendly reminder to Sony, Universal etc. when a recording appears on a site I don't want it to appear :)

CB says that if music has a copyright against it, it’s not allowed. They suggest if you need music for your room to use copyright free music, but even this can be hard for their support team as they don’t know where the music you are playing is from.

And this is exactly why so many people have been jumping ship lately. It's not necessarily the rules themselves, but they lack of clear communication and steady follow through from support (not including Shirley).

Totally agree after numerous emails I cannot get the support email to respond and have even tried the parent email at infodesk@multimediallc.com without success, why are they so ban happy yet so unwilling to interact with customers? Poor @punker barbie then has to deal with it on here, seems mad

Support do answer, it was a 4 hour turn around at one point. But the last few times I've emailed them its taken a few days for them to answer. If you don't get an answer just send a message to shirley with the reference number you get from the 'support bot' email.

Thanks I hate to keep pestering Shirley but all I keep getting back from support is automated responses

I'm quite sure this is the policy on all sites.
Yes but it's really not enforced anywhere else. Streamate and mfc do have these rules but no one gets banned for it. I listened to copy righted music on both via spotify (which I pay for) never banned.

I'm honestly starting to worry about being banned and not knowing why now that I work for CB. I worked for MFC a couple years ago, but don't anymore because they have a strict rule against men being on cam and I don't support it. My fiance wants to join me one day and I think men should have a chance at this too. Anyway, when doing research on what site was best, every website I found said CB was the #! best place to cam, but these posts are making me wonder if they were all lying. Are there any other good sites where I could make as much money (roughly $2,000/month) that allows men?

It really comes down to making sure you understand the rules and sticking by them :) Theres plenty that know about the rule and will help you if you have any issue or questions you want to ask. In the nearly 6 years I've been on CB my site warning was the very first one I've ever had lol. It actually made me laugh in the end but with the help of @punker barbie I was able to know what had happened I know in future not to do it again :) Since then no issues (fingers crossed lol).
