I have been watching a lot of Top Gear lately. Tomorrow I go on a netflix Fringe binge.
I have seen every sode at least twice and some many times, the UK version that is. Watched the US version 2 or 3 times and don't know where the big difference lies, but there is a pretty big difference for shows that seem to be very much the same on the surface.

I reckon the big different between UK and US television is the innate self depreciating humour that British have. I cannot watch the US version of The Office - for it is just the slightest bit of the mark, making it almost unwatchable to me.

Did the ever make a US version of The Royle Family? That is my favourite British comedy.

I am now starting series 11 of Top Gear (UK). Simon Cowell is a better driver than a music talent scout person. I saw the first episode of the Iron Man cartoon. Mandarin looks like Ming the Merciless in the Flash Gordan cartoon. I saw a cgi transition that hurt my eyes.

Current thought - my posts contain so many typos they read as a special version of Chinglish. I am a writer by profession. The shame the shame.

Sometimes the Power Rangers can be a little too corny for their own good.

you think?

I think we're avoiding DBZ for awhile. We finished the Freiza episodes, and watched the 40-min "movie" that gives the backstory on the storyline coming up (with the junior guy who looks and sounds like Emporer Pilaf but isn't Emporer Pilaf.)

Instead, we've been watching Defiance, to see if it gets any better. At least, after the first couple episodes, it's looking a little less like a Eureka/Firefly mashup. Though somehow, that giant first battle with the army-type species that I think they call the vulge (but I could have that very wrong) reminds me of Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within.

Um...awkward. :?

SMH...

 That is so messed up! The way the headline reads is over dramatized and wrong too, imho. Im trying to look at it more like a drug deal that went wrong and the guy that got ripped off shot the thief... just to remove some of the emotion and focus on the facts that both parties were involved in an illegal transaction and unenforceable contract that went awry. I'm sure the story lacks a whole bunch of pertinent information too. Today's so-called journalism is pathetic.

A little more rational look at the case. But essentially presents the same facts.

That's just insane.
Sure is! the way it reads, it makes you wonder if he would have been in trouble if it took place during the day? You are prolly only allowed to shoot them in the knees if it is light outside.

I don't think it alters the fact that he's a murderous asshole one iota.

That awesome feeling when turnitin says your essay is completely unlike anything else. :D

 Must not have understood my attempted to to draw a red circle around the insanity of a law that allows a murderous asshole to walk free, day or night.

Anal4alamo: So, bb, about that video I'm supposed to get for the 200 tks I tipped you. Click-click.

ku-xlarge.jpg

just a random BBQ .. NOT from Texas...

There is nothing better than sending a tip note that produces a genuine uncensored laugh, you know the kind that the Model could not have refused herself if she had wanted to, - the laugh that is because you hit the funny bone, not just to show you were slightly amusing. The best is when you can place it like a stop tip during a control show. Oh god that is so much fun, and I have found that all I have to do if it is a forum Model is say something about my man boobs since I have made sure everyone has seen them, they get a visual, and it's pull the plug on the Hitachi/Sybian.

Oh and popping back to the top of this page, (I should prolly let it go) I get a little irritated every time I read
I saw that on youtube too when I first learned about the Jolly Ranchers trick.
I guess cuz it almost feels like being called a liar, or that I made the gummy bear post because I had seen it on you tube and posted because I didn't want to be left out. Well not a big deal, but I wouldn't be posting if it didn't continue to bug me,(if it was not the pagetop post I would not keep being reminded of it). Why it bugs me? Because I know how I feel about ppl who post about random shit they really don't know about, as if they have personal experience just to be part of the conversation, and its not how I want to be seen. And it bugs me that the post got 3 thanks, and I can see no other reason why it would, and how do Skittles even relate to the quoted post? I have another paragraph in my head of crap that occurred for me to say, but bottom line I'll just say, I never need to make up shit to post, - hell I have no problem jumping in the middle of a conversation with something that has absolutely no relevance, and is off topic just because I felt the need to post and that thread was in the wrong place at the wrong time. So, no I don't search youtube for relevant stuff to post.

It has occurred to me that the "Too" might be there to mean 'also, as well as, the other things' rather than how it reads to me, to mean 'also, as well as, you.' If that is the case, well it is nature to see negative rather than that which is not.

Yeah, wasn't calling you a liar. Just commenting i too (as in 'also') saw someone doing the vodka soaked into gummi worms when I was looking up how to do Jolly Rancher's vodka on youtube. Thought it looked good. At the same time I was looking for those videos they had links to the skittles version of flavored vodka. Just a comment, no other intentions.

I apologize, it was how I read it wrong the first time and then never thought to see it different until after the :violin: post. In general I do what I do and dam the torpedoes, but there are a few certain things that I do care not to be seen as, and a phony, (like all those dam phonies Holden had to put up with) is one of them. (not because I have always been so dam honest, to the contrary, I used to be pretty mixed up, and pretty phony trying to bullshit my way through life. And I really don't like that guy very much, but what you going to do?) So, I am perhaps over sensitive, and once I read it as I did it bugged me. sorry :woops:
