Old guy neighbor in the apartments got a virus on his computer. He stupidly called up the 800 number on his screen to get rid of viruses (part of the virus itself). They wanted $400 for their 'lifetime monitoring services' to get rid of all those files. He was pissed as he was talking about it. Told him to give me $50 and I'd clean it all up to free space., install software to clean it and show him how to use it. Make sure anti-virus is running and firewall. Also set up chrome with ad blockers, clean up his bookmarks, set up his cloud service, and show him how to use it. And a few other software titles. Basically get it running as good as new again, and a bit better.

He okay'd it. As soon as I go to clean up junk files to clear up space I notice the download folder is full of porn. Seems he has a thing for older ladies in satin panties. Also transgender porn.

Plot twist: He's brilliantly wily and actually has a thing for inviting handsome men to use his computer and see his porn!

That's sort of what I do when I miss an episode of Law and Order SVU or The Blacklist. I avoid those T.V. shows' Facebook pages until I watch the episode on the NBC website.

Carter suspends Pentagon’s demand of the return of cash bonuses to California soldiers

Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced Wednesday that he was ordering the Pentagon to suspend its efforts to recover decade-old reenlistment bonuses paid to thousands of California Army National Guard soldiers who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.

About 2,000 soldiers were recently told they had to repay the cash bonuses that, in some cases, amounted to $15,000 or more.

Carter said there was a process in place to assist soldiers who sought relief of such obligations, and in this case, “hundreds” of Guard members have already sought and have been granted relief.

“But that process has simply moved too slowly and in some cases imposed unreasonable burdens on service members,” Carter said. “That is unacceptable.”

He did not mention any timeframe for the suspension, but he insisted that it would be in place until he was “satisfied that our process is working effectively.”

MFC decided to do a small upgrade. Seems now when any member or model on your friends list signs on, it highlights them in yellow for a couple seconds.

Usually that yellow is a sign those people had your private message box popped up and were typing to you. So you're not just that popular all of a sudden.

Imgur, twitter, reddit...all those social media sites. Many don't allow long posts, and let's be honest here, I don't feel like writing a freaking book explaining everything I say in minutiae. So it pisses me off whenever I say something that is so obvious it doesn't even bear explanation, then someone replies with 'got a source,' or 'can you prove that?'

Hey moron, it's something you should have learned in the 4th grade. The world doesn't have to dumb down everything to your idiotic level of brain power. Take 2 minutes and google it you neanderthal.

From now on instead of even bothering to prove it or send a link backing up what I say, I'm just going to tell them I charge $675 an hour for doing a google search anyone with a fucking brain should be able to do.
