Hi there!
Just wanted some input on the pro DMCA.after reading alot most say things will still get out there either way.Do you all feel that this would be worth the investment? It's so may sites you get put on it seems impossible to grab them all.

DCMA take down only works on sites that honor DCMA.
DCMA services can only go after sites they can find and or sites they know about.
And even then, only if they have access.
And even then, only if they can get through the hoops to find and report all the videos.

DCMA services tend to charge a noticeable fee, Often per video.
Having to spend money to stop some thing some one else does for free or for profit is economically a loosing battle.

Honestly I think the best way to fight piracy is to break their business model.
For instance, if your videos are on pornhub. The viewer gets the video for free, you get money on the advertisements. And there really is no reason for any one to pirate your video.

FYI pornhub does offer a DCMA service. but I really don't know how good or bad it really is. Long term, I think a company like pornhub is probable in a better place to do effective DCMA. Because if they do DCMA, they're probable going to do it in a large scale automated fashion. But I don't think they're there yet.

If your going to embed a DCMA logo into your stream. Put it into the stream using your encoding program. On some thing like CB, that's going to be OBS. Don't try to put it on top of the stream using HTML/CSS, that shit doesn't work.

You can also uses some thing like OBS to embed your cam name into the stream. At least then pirated content will at least promote you.

I don't think that uploading all the videos to pornhub is a good solution, the ad revenue is not that great compared to selling the videos through a site like Manyvids, MFC Share or some place else. As far as I can tell even if a few videos get pirated it is still worth selling the videos.

I don't plan on uploading at the moment.I do accept that it's out there and I'm fine.Submitted a few links to CB and they cand down within days from my search on Google.Just wanitng to know how good it may work.I am switching to obs to use pverlayd and see how it goes.It dosen't bother me but if I can prevent it why not you know.I don't wanna pay for extra protection when it really may not work.I did notice one vid from a private show is back up I can tell cause the viewer numbers started over.

I was more referring to capped recordings of streams.

I really hate to be *that guy* but I saw in the other thread too and it bugged me also.... it's DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) not DCMA (Digital Copyright Millenium Act) lol.
Sorry it was just peeving me so much. My mind can now rest easier lol.

I am not a model and so maybe someone else can clarify this part:

"You will need to state exactly where the infringing material is located and also tell them where a copy of the original work can be found."

Now, would you just link to your camsite (CB, MFC) as I am sure most models don't record and save their shows(for numerous reasons) so they technically have no original copy. Therefore the only original work would be the recording by CB, for example. Would you need to mention that? Something like "I don't have the original work as I stream through PLATFORM NAME but they should have a copy" ??

On the form you state it is video and tell them your cam name and the location of the infringed material copy and paste. I did not fill in the original work section.

Probable a good idea to be using a VPN. That way they don't get your IP.

And for anyone un aware, you can do this one of two easy ways, for FREE:
1) The most common would be to install a VPN extension, a good one that is free but requires you to register in the Chrome Extensions: SetupVPN
- They do have a fair usage policy, which is a DAILY limit of about 3gb (from experience) - so don't be downloading stuff using it, for example. It will eat your limit up. BUT with that said, you CAN register as many accounts as you need with it, I have quite a few emails so have 3 accounts with it just in case I do exceed the limit with one. This extension is also for Firefox too.

2) Simply use the Opera browser, it has a builtin VPN.
