With all the posts that are so rampant recently with "I was banned but they didn't tell me WHYYYYY", I feel like it just needs to be said.

The sites we work on are not our employers, we are contractors. They are private companies that provide a platform for us to use. It's like renting a booth at a swap meet or farmer's market - we run our room how we want, but if it is upsetting the owners of the place, you are no longer welcome. They ALLOW us to use their site, until they find something that gives them reason for not doing so. They do NOT need to give detail about their reasons about it, if and when, we are removed from that platform.

Sure, it would be polite, but it isn't a requirement to be polite. That's a courtesy. Once in a blue moon they do so, but don't expect it. MOVE ON.

Same goes with my forum here. ACF is not a given right, it's a privilege to be able to use it if you so choose. It was not originally created to be a means of appealing bans on cam sites!

I am an individual human running this site. If I personally dislike how you operate, I ban you and you're never welcome back. Imagine that is my house and I let you come over to chat with others over tea... you behave in a way I dislike, I push you out the front door. I do not open that door again for you and I do NOT owe you a reason WHY. This space is not a guarantee of positive interaction with site reps, it is not a guarantee of support for your cause, it is not a guarantee that you'll get the encouragement and support of other cam models or members for your plight.

I don't know if it's a generational thing, or a regional thing, etc... but there's so much more expectation of full disclosure from both the cam site reps/support and myself here this year. I don't know how better to say "get over it and fuck off" when people don't take "no" or merely take the silence of non-reply the way it's intended. If someone says they can no longer help/reply to you, that isn't an invitation to INCESSANTLY repost your query. It's an indication that you need to go away, as there is NOTHING to be gained from remaining here/sending emails to support of the site you're banned from.

💚 and i am very happy you run ACF the way you do. It definitely is not regional because i see it mixed from America, Europe and everywhere else. Maybe age? Maybe just ‚the times we live in‘ but a no so often is not accepted. And ppl seem to read siterules less than the instructions of an IKEA nightstand thinking they are owed a hundred chances and explanations if they fuck up.

Thank you for your work! And damn i could not be as polite as long as you are 🫣

Have a nice, relaxing Sunday and start of autumn 💚

You're right. I love this forum and the members of the community that I interact with here, even though I'm a member and not a model. I have noticed more and more though that when I view the "latest posts" it's almost 99% people complaining about/appealing bans. Totally agree with your stance.

At times, I’ve wondered if the most common phrase to appear in a thread title on ACF is “for no reason.”

I can joke about it because I can ignore it if I want to. You don’t have that luxury, Amber, and I feel like you’re performing a very thankless “service” (for lack of better term) by even allowing such complaints here.

Not sure how you manage it, but thanks very much for your efforts.

I also think it's sad that they won't participate in the community past asking for assistance and then badgering for assistance.

If they came around here more often they'd learn how to not get banned in the first place.

Their subsequent posts usually betray their fake politeness when they get push back from community members.

I do think it's an age thing because people in their late 30's and early 40's were taught how to write business letters/complaints properly without flowery language. We were not raised with second chances afforded for any reason so we get it right the first time.

The amount of begging is truly gobsmacking. It's not a sign of humility or repentance, it's a sign you weren't taught how to organize your thoughts well enough to get your point across in a succinct and effective way.

Thank you Amber for being here and doing all of this. I know I've learned a lot and even changed my mind on a few things I was closed minded about in the past. 💜

I felt like I stepped into a candy store when I found this place 😭 I don't know other cam models in real life, I have friends who do onlyfans on the side and whatnot but that's it, so this is a real community center for me. I can't imagine just showing up to bother punker barbie and then leaving forever.

Same here! None of my friends know wtf I'm talking about most of the time. I did some customer service on the phone at home in the before-fore and there was a discord like app we could use to chat. I always missed having like a few people that do what I do to chat with or a place to complain about what you deal with on the job and everyone actually knows what your talking about. People don't understand this world unless their in this world.

Hi Amber, You are an amazing site owner and admin. You are setting boundaries that are very much needed. I do somewhat agree with you when you state you dont need an explanation for banning somone and that is what most of us believe. Howevr, in my opionin I believe everyone desrves a second chance but only if the infraction is miner such as a misunderstanding or rude behavior but not neccissarely name calling or bullying. Sometimes explaining something to somone that they did wrong may offer them the optertunity to correct their mistake. Chances are they will usually apologise in some cases and never make that mistake again and the professional bond is established with your viewers. If they do make that mistake repeditively they may need a reminder a couple of times. If that fails I will eventually ban them perminantly. Mistakes can taper off and broadcast can run smoothly. I usually start with a warning and if the viewer doesnt listen they recieve a 24 hour ban. They come back and do it again they recieve a 30 day ban and you know what happens next. I wipe the slate clean after six months.

Not explaning the rule violation and imediately banning can confuse viewers causing them to wonder what they did wrong and will probably move onto another model and make that same mistake repeditively, because they were left wondering what they did wrong. Sometimes they need somone to point that mistake out to them to correct their behavior.

Now I will totally and imediately ban somone perminantly for serious violations such as requesting things with dogs or children or fruadulent activities!! Huge No no!! They dont get an explanation and should automatically know why!!

Tbf with how many models are usually signed up to one site, especially the popular ones, support would spend all day long sifting through cases to decide who needs a second chance and not get much else done :P I could see this method making more sense in the early days but there's just sooo many people streaming at once now...(yes I am part of the problem shh)

Perhaps setup the forum permissions for the new person's registered usergroup that is only allowed to READ threads for the first week, in addition to the initial posts moderation. Allow them access to post into an introductory forum/thread only during that time. Do not allow them posting privileges of the support forums until after their first week of registration. Usually, they've already contacted the site's support and will get a reply/resolution; whereas it's not even necessary to post here. I would even go further to limit creation (NEW) of a single thread in the support forums, but they can reply to others. This might help cut down on a lot of the moderation headaches.

I’m not trying to avoid having new posters asking a question to the site reps, so no need for a new permission setting.

My point that may have been missed is that once the rep states they are no longer going to help, it’s time to move on. No carrying on and on demanding explanations, no boohoo posts trying to guilt them into giving a second chance, etc. That’s why I lock threads then limit the person’s post ability so they aren’t able to continue a flood. Nobody wants to witness the beating of a dead horse.

Ah, okay. I understand your point. I presume most (all?) sites state in their sign-up agreements something similar to CB...

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for engaging in any inappropriate activity.
And also...
Termination.
  • By Us. We may, at our sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason at all...
These sites don't even need to provide users with a reply or reason if they don't wish to. Users are lucky to even get this opportunity here that is provided here at ACF.

Absolutely dead right. Mostly a sign of a lack of self awareness coupled with entitlement. And then not being able to deal with the truth.
