Here are a few things I've wondered about on MFC.

1 - I know people say cam scores are bogus, but is there any official explanation of how they work?
2 - Does cam score determine how high up on the list a model appears? If not, what does?
3 - How does rating 5 and admiring a model help? How many times can a premium do it?
4 - Is there any benefit beyond emotional when a premium writes a thank you message on a model's profile?
5 - Which is better, a 100 token tip or 10 tips of 10 tokens?
6 - Do offline tips count more?
7 - Beyond the obvious (tipping, thanking being polite), what can premiums do to show their appreciation?

MFC for some reason keeps it a mystery. It is an automatic formula that calculates your tips and how long you are on. The more tips the higher the score. If a model makes no or little tips it goes down. You can sort the models a few ways but it is set up to highest first. Rating 5 helps I think but I dont know how much it helps. All tips are good. Offline tips I havent figured out how they help any different than online. If you tip and say thank you that is more than enough. Gifts from the wishlist are nice too

The only thing we officially know is that somehow tokens earned divided by time online is involved, as well as some way to make 1000 the average of all the models. Also that they only take into account the past 60 calendar days.

2 - Does cam score determine how high up on the list a model appears? If not, what does?

By default, models are listed in order of camscore, with those who are currently in a show at the top of the first page, also listed in order of camscore. A user can change these, and a registered user's settings are saved session to session. Also default for registered users are those models friended being listed at the top.

3 - How does rating 5 and admiring a model help? How many times can a premium do it?

As far as we know, rating 5 on the profile doesn't help, but rating tips and privates does. admiring just helps in showing other people that the model is considered a good one. admiring can be done once. rating, there's a bit of a debate... some people say once, some say once a day. Rating tips over 90 is once per tip, same with privates over 90 tokens.

4 - Is there any benefit beyond emotional when a premium writes a thank you message on a model's profile?

Fringe benefits: anything that makes a model happy increases her chances of making money. Anything that shows other people she's a good model increases her chances of earning money.

5 - Which is better, a 100 token tip or 10 tips of 10 tokens?

Too many variables here. A 100 token tip can be rated, a 10 token tip cannot. There's a theory that having more different sources of tokens is better, but it has not as of yet been confirmed.

6 - Do offline tips count more?

Until the model gets online again, her camscore will go up because her tokens went up without her time increasing. However, if she then gets online and gets no tips, her camscore will go down again, since her hours increased. There is no separate calculation for offline and online tips.

7 - Beyond the obvious (tipping, thanking being polite), what can premiums do to show their appreciation?

That depends on the model! Everyone has different things that count most in how well they understand a person's appreciation. For some, it's services rendered, for others, it's the time a person will spend. Some people want a gift, others want you to say all the right things. And while some people want physical affection (like a pat on the back, high-five, or hug), online they fall back on their secondary. Try all four (on different days so the appreciation is easier to determine) and see which one she's most grateful for ^_^

Personally, I prefer physical affection, followed closely by time and words. (if I can't get physical I'll miss time before words, but if I can get physical I miss words and don't notice a lack of time)

The five that I listed are:
-physical affection
-words of affirmation (compliments, thank you, requests instead of demands)
-services rendered
-quality time
-gifts

Members no longer have an option to rate tips over 90. They are all automatically rated ten without any interaction from the member, and I think that is wrong. It also makes me think that the rating never mattered. Giving my models rates for my tips was always one more way to tell a model thank you, but MFC just yanked it away from me. Right now autorating privates is just an option and all I can do is hope they never take that away from me.

Ah, I thought there was a checkbox somewhere to choose whether or not your tips are auto-rated, and it had just been set to do so automatically unless the person turns it off.

All I have ever seen is the check box for rating privates. I am not too proud to take help from another member if they know something I do not though.

We could never tell, anyway, if a member rated our tips over 90. It doesn't show us anything, so we'd just take your word for it. Now at least we know it's automatic on tips over 90.
