How old is too old for caming?

I wonder in future years, as the current younger generation of models gets older, we will see more of a broad spectrum of ages online entertaining?

Or is camming more a young person thing because it's seen more as quick money, temporary and not a career

I do feel like we'll see more older models as the current generation becomes older. Like the OG MFC girls who've dominated for years are still pretty young but I can't imagine them quitting if the money stays decent, and with a large fanbase and a strong brand, I think they could stay popular for a long time.
I do wonder though what the market for senior models would be, and if as many current models stay in camming for decades to come as they indicate, if there will be more supply than demand.

That said I personally think in the next ten or twenty years camming will change with technology and that it's too early to tell how the industry will be in the future. Sex work as a whole has changed so much over the past few decades and I think anything tech-based like camming will probably look quite different. But of course I do think there will always be a demand for pretty ladies showing their boobies, haha.

I haven't cammed much in the last 8 months, but I will be 41 this year. I started camming 7ish years ago, so much older than you when I started. I earned a comfortable living working about 20 hours a week tops, and scaling back had nothing to do with my age. I think if you have the right attitude and take decent care of yourself you can support yourself camming for as long as people are paying.

ETA: A quick scan of the first 10 spots on streamate contain 6 women "listed" as 30 or older. One is 42.

In case not troll: I'll be honest and say that when I stared camming at 22, I would list myself as 18-21 because I wanted to give myself "longevity in the industry" and not "age out" by 25. Because I really thought that all men wanted was a hot, young, co-ed type of girl. It is totally ok to think this when you first start, its even natural.

However, its ultimately wrong. There are so many girls who kill it when they are older. In fact, I can say that having started at 22, I only now feel like I actually have a good sense of what is going on, how to hustle and run my shit like a business. A lot changed for me when I hit 25. I'd say you get much better at the game as you get older, so no matter what age you are, keep on.

I typically see more models in the 40+ crowd on Streamate than MFC. The site culture is a little different, which I feel is a part of it. Streamate is more sensual/fetishy one-on-one, whereas MFC is more high energy, crowd pleasing. As I've aged (as much as a couple years can be considered aging) on Streamate from 25 to 27, I noticed more customers asking for a tease or fetish show than an explicit toy show. This happened even before my transition to non-explicit, and was a driving factor in that transition. I'm getting more subs, more "I just want to see your body" and fewer requests for explicit shows.

I know this is the "Ask-a-Model" section and I'm not a model but here's my insight anyway. When I first started being a member on a cam site I found myself hanging out, being the most attracted to, and having the best time in models rooms that I realised were around my age. I found myself also completely avoiding the 18-23 ish models altogether. There's a thing about ageing gracefully that's very sexy. So I personally think you can cam as long as you want.

I'm 42, I've been camming for about 5 years and honestly I make more year after year. I think there's an idea that guy like youth because youth=beauty, but I think we can all say after camming, guys have a variety of interests and that we probably kind of tend to view "what's attractive" through a pretty generic lens.
I do think MFC skews younger, for a variety of reasons, while SM skews older, again, for a variety of reasons.
All I know is its actually really refreshing to know that what women view as "attractive" doesn't actually match up to what men do, since it seems like we tend to have a really narrow scope dictated to us through the media.

I'm 36 and doing well I worked on another site a few years ago when I was 33, and said I was 29 because I didn't want to be "old" (teh old strikes at 30, I guess). I actually do better now.
