I got an offer to shoot some girl/girl and solo porn on Twitter today.

How do I go about verifying if the offer is legitimate or a scam?

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. While I don't know exact numbers for what is standard, because I don't shoot pro porn, I do know that if they're offering multiple thousands of dollars, or tens of thousands - probably a scam. I would also be hesitant of any offer on Twitter, unless it's someone I'm familiar with reaching out and saying "Hey, I'm in your area in two weeks, wanna get together and film?"

Researching them can never hurt. Check out their existing work, their website, their social media presence. Those can tell you a lot about them.

Also checking that they are actually affiliated with the company. I get emails all the time being like “hello I am a recruiter for Hustler, pls email nudes to definitely_hustler @yahoo.com”.

I totally thought the same thing. It takes a few clicks to find my business email for model related stuff and of all places, they DM me on Twitter saying "we'd love to work with you" when I have like 50 followers and like one month of camming experience. As much as my ego would love to think I'm just that awesome, I'm not at all and I have much to learn in this industry before I even consider any of these offers to be legit lol. I don't think my portfolio (or lack thereof) is at all pro-porn material at all.

There's been no speak of dollar signs just yet, but I'm still very skeptical. Looks like my trust issues are good for something after all?

They appear to be a smaller company with a camgirl as their "reference" and the owner stating that said model is his girlfriend and I can DM her to verify if I'd like. I notice she does have quite an established following... I will keep looking into this and report back if it turns out to be real at all.

It sounds sketchy to me, so definitely keep your guard up. While it can be the case that someone's lucky and happens to catch the right person's eye, it's pretty rare. A healthy amount of skepticism can never hurt!
