I'm not sure if this is even the right place to post a conversation like this.

I've had someone make a customized video for me and she delivered the goods. Now two of her private videos she has made for someone else have been leaked and it clearly states in the video that those are for private use only and not to be shared with anyone else.

I feel bad for this woman. If anything, those leaks discourage me from buying another customized video from her because she's acting out on fantasies I may have wanted her to act out on in a future video I may want to purchase. Another thing is that it makes the private video I have from her feel not so special, especially when you consider that she doesn't get naked in her videos. Other people who didn't ask for customs will get to enjoy the goods for free.

I get this is the internet and that something that contains a woman going topless or nude is going to get out there eventually, but this sucks. On the one hand, one can argue that her popularity is going to grow and other people are going to line up to get pay her to get videos like that customized for them. On the other hand, I can't be the only one who's discouraged from having her to do another video for me because the one I have has lost some value.

I want to tell her, but I'm afraid there's nothing she can do about it. How would someone feel if the custom videos she made got leaked and spread around the net? Will she continue to make more videos like that? But if so, then what was the point of making these videos if you don't want them to be spread around? What would a woman do in her situation?

I want to tell her, but I'm not sure how to tell her. I'll send her an email now so that she knows about it.

I'm sorry but you completely lost me when you said that other people leaking her videos has made your unleaked video "less valuable" everything you said after that I had to assume was trash.

You do know a model may get multiple custom video requests in a single day right? You're not the only one buying customs lmao. The appeal of a custom is you get the video played out exactly how you want it, but there is only so many fantasies out there.
So if you want to watch her general videos then buy them, but if you want a custom with a special script or idea or whatever then buy that. I don't understand why your fantasy is ruined by her doing well at her job and having multiple custom customers?

To answer your question though, I'd tell her you found the leaked videos. She probably has experienced leaked videos multiple times so don't feel bad about it. But she'll appreciate you told her because now she can do something to take them down.

If the person that bought those custom videos paid for exclusivity, then yes them being uploaded elsewhere would be a problem. Leaking videos for free is a problem for any clip maker, and we do our best to remove them if we are able to. It could be the person that bought them that is leaking them in the first place. Those videos could have been made with the intent to be resold, and another buyer could have leaked them.
However if you're buying a custom video expecting it to be for your eyes only, but dont pay for that exclusivity, she has every right to sell them to others. If it upsets you and makes you devalue the content you received then that is on you, imo. If its only "special" to you when youre the only one that can see it, you should compensate her for that exclusivity aka lack of any other potential profit she could make on that video. And the fact that her videos are getting leaked isnt something that you should be holding against her, its not like she is wishing for this to happen. It is backwards to think you want to stop supporting this person - buying customs - because of something she didn't do. You can continue to buy customs for her, pay for the exclusivity fee if she has one, and move on.
Anyway, Link her the content so she can handle it on her own.

I don't have time to say much because I've got to get going soon.

But I do have to say real quick that both Emberblaze and OliviaClarke kind of missed the point of what I'm trying to say (or it could be the case that I wasn't clear enough in my original post). MaePeach seemed to have understood my message the most.

I'll get back to this later in the day.

The value of a thing is the one we give to it and for ur own good u shouldn't consider the video u have as less valuable just because there is more content, brand news... it is her job!! therefore you shouldn't judge her content by the number of people who own her videos but YOUR aesthetic/erotic appreciation and personal characteristics. You should remember she's just a "persona" u don't know her in real life, u don't own her lol.
Uhm, I make custom special videos too and I wouldn't like to found them in a tube 'cause that means someone is stealing MY hard job, anyway I wouldn't stop since I know what's like to make erotic content, once u send a private video or sell material there's still a chance to be leaked and spread all over stupid tubes. Well, finally I think it could be a good idea to tell her about the leaked videos but you should show evidence, another way she might think u are the one who's spreading her videos or lying in order to stop her from making videos just because u want to "add value" to the video u already own.

I missed the mark? Pretty sure you said your video was less valuable because someone else leaked THEIR video. Unless your video was the one leaked you're being ridiculous.

You said, "Another thing is that it makes the private video I have from her feel not so special, especially when you consider that she doesn't get naked in her videos." And also, "On the other hand, I can't be the only one who's discouraged from having her to do another video for me because the one I have has lost some value." And my favorite line, "But if so, then what was the point of making these videos if you don't want them to be spread around?"

Oh man.

The fact that she is having her work STOLEN without her consent someone makes YOUR videos feel less special... And somehow worth less in your eyes? That is ALL sorts of messed up, dude. If you go to a bakery and buy some delicious homemade cupcakes, made according to YOUR desires - and later, you find out that someone burst into the cupcake store and cleared out her cash-register and stole every single one of her delicious cupcakes, does that mean you didn't enjoy her work? Does that mean she didn't pour her heart and soul into creating something delicious and beautiful, bringing your vision to life? Nah. It means she was unlucky and some horrible, sleazy jerkface decided to steal her stuff. Her work and her trust was violated. How does that cheapen her work in your eyes? I just... I don't understand. Some scumbag is STEALING her earnings. How can you be focused on how YOU don't feel special anymore? What the heck, man?

What about her violation has cheapened her in your eyes? It wasn't even YOUR videos that were leaked. They were someone else's videos. Someone else either 1) didn't pay the exclusive-video fee (most people don't because it's expensive or because they enjoy the idea of others enjoying their custom clip) or 2) The person who ordered the video leaked it out. Her leaked video has NOTHING to do with your video. It has zero effect on your video. Just because a thief doesn't think her work was valuable or that she was worth being paid for it... It doesn't mean they are right. SHE is the one being treated poorly, she was the one being wronged. Saying that her work is now cheapened because she is being robbed... That's some wild and super self-centered thinking, and I'm pretty floored right now. If someone is the victim of a crime and that somehow devalues them (and their work) in your eyes... You need to do some careful soul-reflection and brush up on some empathy.

Last of all... What is the point of making these videos if you don't want to be spread around? Um.... The point is to get paid. Why do YOU show up and do your job? Why don't you go around performing your job for free for every single person who wants it? Why doesn't the baker pour all of their money into buying baking supplies, spend all of their free time baking cupcakes, and GIVE every cupcake away to anyone who wants one? Surely, that's the point of being a professional baker, right? It's to just... make people happy and GIVE away cupcakes? Nah. The point of being a professional ANYTHING is to make money doing what you're good at. Sure, you can love what you do. But you want to get paid for it. Everyone needs to pay their bills, even adult entertainers. And that's the point of making those videos. Piracy is the exact opposite.

What should you do? Tell her that her work was pirated, so she can get it taken down and stop losing money. Clip piracy is super fucked up, and can have a big impact on a performer's bottom line. It can even affect clients - I know plenty of models who stopped offering certain services or stopped filming in certain categories because they get pirated too often. Why film for people who don't appreciate you? People who are stealing from you? People who are too callous to care about the performer's feelings or her ability to make a living? People who are only focused on themselves?

I really hope you didn’t tell her what you said here. If someone pirated her content, let her know so she can go about getting her stolen content taking down, but don’t add in all the bs about how your video is less special and you’re discouraged from buying customs from her now or whatever. Like, what good could possibly come from that? It’s just flat out rude. I can’t wrap my mind around how her acting out your specific fantasy is now less special because she has made other videos, unless you thought you are the only person who she has ever made a custom for, which is a very silly notion.

I don't. I actually respect it. She is a cammodel. Doing her job. Her shtick or apart of her hustle is nonnude and gets naked for big buck customs. She isn't the only one who does this. Get over yourself, nothing has changed about her since knowing you aren't the only one who saw her boobies.

And dear god tell her that her customs are being pirated, man.

Your video hasn't lost value -- that video is just for you and your eyes only. It's not devalued, it's still just for you and she's still doing exactly what you requested which is presumably different than the leaked video. If anything, your video has gained value because everyone can see the leaked video but *no one* can see the goods that you have, except you, and it's exclusive, just for you. Everyone has seen Jenna Jameson, and if she makes a custom, private video for someone, that video is of ridiculously high value, right? I'd just write her a private message on Twitter or however you communicate saying, "I stumbled upon this link" and show her and keep it basic.

Boy, people beat the piss out of me for something I said. The minute people read the words "less valuable" or "not so special", they were out with their pitchforks. But I'm going to defend myself a little bit. Granted, it was a poor choice of words to use and I think I invited criticism onto myself. So yeah, it was kind of my own fault. But I'm going to explain what I meant by it.

It was said that I'm not the only one she makes customs for. It was said that she's not the only girl who does this. It was said that I don't know her in real life and that I don't own her. Here's the thing: None of those things were points I was trying to make. Those are not the issues here. I know I'm not the only one she makes customs for. I never met the person in person, so it's impossible for me to know her from a whole in a wall. Yes, I know she was playing a role for me. Whether she gets one or eight million custom video requests a day, it doesn't change the narrative that multiple custom videos of hers were leaked (literally) all at the same time.

I take what I said to mean as it's fucked up that this had to happen to her. One time she thanked me for sending her the money to do the video. In response, I told her that she was the one who should be thanked because she was the one putting in the work and me sending her the money was the easy part. Which is to say, I know that it's hard work to put that kind of presentation together. As an amateur photographer, I tell people that I don't take requests because I know I won't be able to keep up with so many of them. The fact that she's able to is more than impressive and more than admirable.

I take what I said to mean as I was fearful that more leaks were to come and that I was afraid I was going to lose an incentive to want to request for another video from her, which is the last thing I want to have happen because she deserved every last dollar she got from me to make my video. So much so, that whatever she charges for my next video from her, I will surprise her and give her more than what she asked for because she was that much of a consummate professional in her approach for organizing the video and for completing the project in the time span that she said she was going to complete it in.

I was afraid that with the possibility or probability that more leaks are going to happen (because these fucking idiots just might do that just to fuck with her), I was afraid I wasn't going to have an incentive to request for more. In other words, why would I, or anyone else, want to pay a shit load of money for it if people feel that all they have to do is look at their watches, figuring it's going to be a matter of time before another leak happens? That's a question she must ask to herself as well. I mean, why ask for a certain exclusive thing in a custom video if that same certain exclusive thing in someone else's custom video is being leaked out there for everyone else to grab and download for free?

Why did I say my video lost value? Everything was happening so fast, everything was all in the heat of the moment, and I somehow thought that if more leaks happen, the less likely it is that I would want to buy another custom, and the more I would feel like all that effort on her part was all for nothing.

In any event, by the time I sent that email to her today, the videos were already taken down (only to be reuploaded to PornHub later in the day). She said that it was in the hands of the police. I hope she becomes a hawk when it comes to taking down content that wasn't authorized to be posted in places where they shouldn't be. I hope she does well, I hope her clientele increases, and there's a sea of money out there that's there for the taking. The thought of her (or anyone else doing this line of work, for that matter) losing out on that pisses me the fuck off. If this makes me an insensitive, misguided, or misinformed person, then I give up.

And thank you to RealJesebel.

It is possible for clients and viewers to report stolen videos to PornHub. Enough reports and they’ll get taken down without a DMCA. If you’re that upset, you should be crusading on a reporting spree to help get those pirated videos taken down.

Just my two cents as someone who has lost repeat custom video clients because of an entitled asshole who posted them all to PornHub, nobody told me, and I didn’t find the videos until years later long after the repeat clients were gone.

I am glad that you took the time to write this reply and clarify what you meant. I think you were right - in the rush of posting, the bestest words weren't chosen, and it definitely made it seem like you were approaching the situation the wrong way. But your clarification helps a lot, and as someone who definitely got a little peeved yesterday, I understand where you were coming from a LOT better. And I appreciate that, so thank you!

The thing about clip making is that piracy is going to happen. It is inevitable. It's a super shitty, super awful part of filming videos, and as a clip artist myself, I can't tell you how devastating it feels to have your work uploaded for free by people who claimed to be fans. There are genres now that I refuse to film in, because piracy is so bad. It isn't worth it to me, y'know?

But the only person who can attach value or worth to her videos is you. As long as YOU don't watch pirated videos, and continue to pay for the work you enjoy, then you are giving her work the full value, and you are doing everything you can to not contribute to the actions of unappreciative fools. If you continue ordering customs, you could offer to pay exclusive prices to ensure that no one else gets to enjoy the hard work she did for you. And thus, no other pirate can enjoy your fantasy. But it all comes down to this... You are the only one in control of your feelings and your actions. Directing your dream porn is incentive enough to buy a custom. Or you can wait and BUY other people's customs when she uploads them to resell. Neither of those actions are bad, because you are still offering your appreciation and support through proper financial channels. If you choose to stop buying customs and only watch pirated videos of other's customs, I hope you know that would be just as awful as the person who uploaded it in the first place. You would be supporting the pirate, not your favorite artist, actively putting money in the pirate's pockets. Judging from your clarification letter, I don't think you'd go down that road, but I wanted to comment, just in case! So for proper incentive... Just being an appreciative fan is incentive enough, just avoiding being a vile, vile crocodile pirate is incentive enough, just watching YOUR dream fantasy come true is incentive enough. Whether that means buying customs or simply buying the resell videos from her directly, that's still supporting the work that you appreciate!

As for why people will pay for customs if they can be pirated... I think it's because as the director, you can choose all of the details. For example, I do Femdom/fetish videos. I have a TON of heel worship clips that anyone can buy for like fifteen bucks. But I get customs for heel worship a lot, so people can request those little details that make the video special: i.e., wearing a certain kind of heel, an anklet, emphasizing a certain word, using the person's name (if they pay that fee!). It's those little details that make it unique. The custom-director pays a big fee to direct his fantasy, I work hard to create the best product that I can. And then I usually resell it on my site, for others to buy at a deeply discounted price. It won't be their Perfect Video, because the details will be slightly off, but they'll still enjoy it. And even though they get it at a deeply discounted price, I don't think that devalues the product. There are people who won't order a custom EVER, although they can afford it, waiting around in hopes that I'll upload someone else's custom so they can buy - but honestly, most of those are people who don't value my work enough to pay custom-prices anyways. Then, there are others who simply can't afford custom prices, and snatch up Resell videos, never minding if the Details don't exactly match their Perfect Video. I super appreciate those fans because they still go out of their way to show their support and how much they value my work, even if they cannot afford to order their own custom. But when someone orders a custom and I have the chance to bring their Specific Fantasy to life, it is so much fun. I throw my heart and soul into creating something they will enjoy over and over again, and I think that makes custom-clip prices worth it. I am sure your clip-artist is the same way.

Leaks are going to happen. It isn't a probability - it's an inevitability. It's so shitty and demoralizing and awful feeling. And although you get used to it, although you expect it to happen as time goes on, it never stops hurting a little. It never stops feeling so awful. OP, you personally cannot control what other pirates do. There are people who are so cheap that they will never give artists their proper value, especially those in the adult industry. There will always be people who find excuses for actively contributing to the financial harm of the artist they claim to like. All you can do is continue to buy the videos that you enjoy, and avoid the pirate-sites like the plague. If she plans on making clips long-term, she'll roll with the punches and either hire a DMCA service or send notifications to her main websites, asking them to take action for her. Or on places like Pornhub, she can transfer the videos to her account and claim the earnings that would have gone to the pirate instead. Or she'll start charging crazy high prices on the custom clips that are more likely to be pirated, to make it worth her while.

Now I understand what girls mean when they talk about obsessed weirdos.

Do a forum deep-dive and you'll find plenty - back tattoos included!

Models usually appreciate being tipped off about their videos being posted online, but some of them get a lot of messages about this kind of thing, and it can kill their buzz to have that stuff brought to their attention in the middle of a shift. Make sure that having fun and enjoying your time together are the focus of your interactions with cam performers and you'll both be happier.

Remember that any content on tube sites that was uploaded by random pervs is there without the producers consent and is making it harder for producers and performers to make a living creating that content, whether you know them or not. I get that you're more upset about your fave than you might be about some big studio porn star having their milkshake drunk, but it's worth noting.

Also, I haven't spent much time here in ages. I need to get caught about those back tattoos.

The more there's a level of trust, the more worry-free will the business relationship between client and provider is going to be. Thank you for sharing this with me.

Genres you refuse to film in because piracy is that bad. My condolences.

People who spread those videos around without your consent aren't fans no matter how they want to slice it in order to make you believe that they are. Those people would have to go out of their way to make a compelling case as to why they are truly fans of your work after having done what they did. Nothing they can say will justify what they did.

As long as YOU don't watch pirated videos, and continue to pay for the work you enjoy, then you are giving her work the full value, and you are doing everything you can to not contribute to the actions of unappreciative fools. .... That comment right there really hit true to me in more ways I didn't think it would, and it hit true to me in more ways than you know. It's truly wonderful that you said that and it's something I won't forget.

The only reason I clicked on the link to those videos was to see if they were actually online, hoping to see that they were already taken down. At the time I started this thread, they were still up and running and I just popped a wheelie (another way of saying I lost my cool). The only thing I saw from those videos were the thumbnails and I didn't even press the play button because I was that pissed. And what's even better than that (aside from the fact that those videos are no longer on Spankbang or PornHub [at least since the last time I checked]) is the fact that it felt so fucking good not downloading them. I couldn't bring myself to watch it on the tube sites and I couldn't bring myself to download. The temptation was never there. Never.

To me it would feel like watching a completely different person performing in those videos even though it's the same woman doing it. I knew that if I downloaded those videos and then watched them at a later time, it would be like listening to the sounds a bagpipe would make after it pops or malfunctions somehow. In other words, the music would die and so would any excitement that was never going to come from watching them in the first place. It would feel sour and just plan wrong because the last thing I want to do is betray her by watching something that was never meant for me, and I would not want to join the pirates in their supposed celebration of doing that woman dirty by leaking videos. I will continue to support her work and I will continue to order customs from her.

And thank you so much with everything else you said. Truly a magnificent piece you posted, and thank you for taking the time to listening where I was trying to come from with all of this. Spoken like consummate professional and I respect that.

Funny you mentioned that because since this happened to her, I thought about how I should go about doing something like that. I shit you not because I was that mad. But I don't even know where or how to start probably because I feel that she feels she can handle this herself.

To me it would feel like watching a completely different person performing in those videos even though it's the same woman doing it.

I think this is ridiculous. Because someone pirated her work, doesn't make her less. I think you need to get over yourself, it's the same woman. This was out of her control.

You message support. On Pornhub, there are little flags at the bottom right hand side of the video player, click that and provide lots of info.
