Hey guys and gals,

MojitoWrites here. :D
I'm a webcam model, but I'm really eager to also get really involved in the adult industry, beyond being on camera. ** Just a note, I am not quitting camming, just trying to deepen my career and develop new skills while still webcamming. :)

I started a whitelabel cam site, and am just learning how to market it, simply marketing on twitter. It hasn't earned much yet but I haven't put a lot of time into it so far.

My ideal porn industry job would be one I could do at home on my laptop. I like marketing, but am open to trying other fields.

Things I've seen people earn from:
Hosting & Marketing your own whitelabel cam sites (trying it now)
Starting your OWN cam site (tough)
Video editing
Film production
Running your own porn member site (limited to models and I do consider this work "on camera.")

I know there is MANY more careers out there in the adult industry.
Anyone out there - members or models, who make a decent part of their income in this industry NOT on camera?
How do you do it? Any advice?

xo
Mojito

I'm in the process of hiring other models for clips4sale (like Missa X does) and just filming, editing and uploading instead of starring in. I am not retiring and am still primarily filming but the plan is to eventually hire more and more models and step behind the camera more and more. I do not want to own a membership site I think I have a better shot on c4s with paying models and just shooting them. I know what sells and I have all the equipment. Once I purchase a house the plan is to make the basement into my playroom. Full of lights, diff sets, a green screen wall and a section for a dungeon so I can pro domme and do domme clips there.

I think this is a great topic you came up with! I am currently studying computer science and once I graduate I will be either programming or doing web design from home. Now that I work from home I want to continue doing so forevarrr. I was thinking of doing professional profiles for models and etc. I'll be creating my own website within the year so I definitely have a lot of learning ahead of me which is both exciting and daunting. There is a plethora of free info online in regards to coding and programming, etc. Honestly, I think most of my actual education will be derived from that. Ha! My degree is for when I retire due to be old and fug and/or too lazy to cam. It will also be a badge I earned for myself to prove that I am somewhat clever.

Great responses ladies, thanks for your input. Keep em coming if anyone else works in the industry.

I did some brainstorming last night and realized the possibilities are endless if you're willing to create something that people want (that you're passionate about sharing.) I asked myself, "What do porn consumers want?" "What do cam site members want?" and "What do cam girls want" and the answers were pretty illuminating.

But I guess for something I might put my all into, the real question is "What do I want?"
