Regarding the Raffle = scam equation mentioned above.

I actually won a Skype raffle last August from a RO model, after purchasing about 8 of the 200 tickets sold. It was for a 10 minute show, which was a total lie, as we ended up spending almost 90 minutes together on Skype. And then she had the nerve to refuse my offer of a generous offline tip to compensate her for the extra time she gave me. What a bitch!

I appreciate things like this. So many people are so quick to point out all the bad things that other models do, and completely throw the girls who are genuine and caring and follow through with what they say under the bus with them.

For my last raffle I raffled off a 1 hour skype date and a painting. The actual skype ended up being over 3 hours. He didn't tip for the extra time and I didn't want him to, I stuck around because I was genuinely enjoying myself.

Therein lies the understandable confusion between being a whore and a john. Sometimes the line is obvious, other times it's a rude awakening.

It peeves me when a model complains there are so many unclaimed items when she could have thought about the non-raffle-winners and made their day instead of being greedy creating another token challenge.

I can't help but feel this is directed (at least partially) at me after you had visited my room this evening and I mentioned an unclaimed raffle mug.
So, I'm going to defend myself.
First off, I often end up drawing additional names during my raffle because I honestly want to give more away, including the raffle that you had entered in. Do you remember that Boce? When months ago, I decided to draw two more mug winners than I had originally planned? It costs me money to order and ship prizes, I don't have to draw extras but I want to. I'm sorry that you didn't win as your enthusiasm for it was the main reason I decided to draw more. You still didn't win and I was honestly bummed, so this post of yours really hurt my feelings.
I wish I could give a prize to every person that entered my raffles but obviously I can't as that defeats the purpose and would be very expensive.
I often times do a one night unclaimed prizes mini raffle. I usually also throw several items in my mini raffles that are left over from numerous raffles... none of which are items I refused to send out... but items which were never claimed... winners just didn't get back to me. Sometimes I'll throw in other shit as freebies as well... extra pens or stickers or key chains or whatever.
It's the only fair way. I can't just personally choose one person who didn't win a prize to get the unclaimed swag. That would be favoritism and extremely unfair and unethical. Quite possibly a raffle "scam", honestly.

I put a TON of time and money into my raffles, from the hours and hours of swag design to the expense of the item itself, shipping to me then shipping back out to the winners. My last big raffle cost me close to $2500.00. Do I have to spend that much on a raffle? NO! I could probably do just as well with videos and skypes, but I honestly enjoy making the swag prizes and sending things to people. It makes me happy!
My raffles are not rigged, they are fair and honestly don't always end the way I would prefer them to. Someone with 1 ticket who has been in my room for 10 minutes has won the big prize and someone with 200 tickets who is a constant joy to have around wins nothing. It sucks but it's a raffle. Everyone has a chance and just because the winner is not my preference doesn't mean he doesn't get his prize. And just because I really like the person who didn't win doesn't mean they get a prize.
I'm sorry you feel the way you do but honestly if anyone else had an issue my raffles wouldn't do as well as they do.

As a member it really peeves me that anyone can be such a sore loser that something like this bothers him months after and inspires him to call someone greedy.

I don't understand what you mean by this? Why should a model give items to non-raffle-winners to "make their day?" And why are so many models accused of being greedy (or being token whores) just because they expect to be paid? I'm not trying to be a smart-ass...I really am curious.

If non-raffle winners are that upset about "losing" a raffle, then they should've just tipped the model's normal price for whatever the prize(s) is. I will never understand why guys with thousands of tokens get so upset when they've "lost" a raffle on an item that only would've costed them 400 tokens flat rate.

Yes. This is another thing that some members don't realize. Items like mugs, photo coasters, etc. cost us money to mail out, and they require a trip to the post office. I don't even drive, so to mail out items like that I'd have to take a bus to and from the post office.

Also, I think a lot of members, who complain about models "charging too much" (or models being "greedy") forget that we get HALF of the amount they tip (500 tokens IS NOT $50 in our pockets). And they don't think about other things, like the fact that the model has to use printer ink (That ain't cheap) and photo paper to print photos, she has to buy stamps, etc.

'Compliments':

It should go without saying that the model has a wonderful body, or that she has nice breasts. I tend to view the type of compliments about the vulva/breasts as shallow - if that's all you're here for, then you're not really contributing to the room. It's fun to make some conversation - either with the model, or with the members. I'm not sure if the models themselves actually like it, but I know I sure don't. It's cheesy at best, it's snide at worst.

Personally, I like to go a step further, beyond the superficial qualities of beauty and glamour - to truly examine someone from their personality. Of course, this isn't to say that beauty doesn't matter - it does, but it's not the deal-maker. A girl that lacks intelligence/wit with huge breasts don't entice me. Oh, and if you're really going to compliment a girl, at least take notice of her facial features, like her eyes.

The emote spammer:

In the context of members, it's often that you'll see some that seemingly cannot otherwise communicate without the use of multiple, obnoxious emotes. They tend to be large gifs that take up a significant amount of the chat space, usually with the equivalent of a porn flick.

I've had some run-ins with relatively low camscore models (within the 1k range) that tend to insist on doing silly things in a group/private. One instance involved the girl stopping mid-way to spam 20 emotes, and typing something that could only be considered cheesy as 'talking dirty'. It's honestly not a turn-on, and it's simply wasting time and money that's constantly draining out of our token banks.

The white knight:

I'm referring to the type of member who feels a false sense of entitlement to a model, be it because they're a regular, or that they tip figures so high that the model actually fears losing them as a client - or worse, both. It tends to be the chat-dominating types, who would argue with anyone that disagrees with the absurdities they constantly spout for hours - or anyone who receives equal attention to themselves. It's difficult to try and promote a positive vibe with these types of members, and it tends to drive the more submissive types of members away.

The begging model:

It's the very typical model who sits around moping about how she never gets tokens, yet they never interact - or attempt to interact with the room. Some may go as far as to publicly ridicule premium members with tokens, calling them out by name. It's the member's tokens lady, we tip on our own volition, on the basis that we like you or that we want something out of it (an expectation of reciprocity).

The typical member:

You hear the distant cries of 'u like me cock ram in ur throat bb?', and other incomprehensible, obnoxious remarks directed at the model. Many members lack the common decency to consider models to be normal humans like ourselves, and act extremely disrespectful for what seems to be no reason. Models aren't your slave because you've tipped 10 tokens, or 100 tokens - they're there to provide a service, i.e. to sell a fantasy.

Don't fall in love, don't be disrespectful, and think about what you're writing before you hit the send button. If members adhered to a simple, golden rule - life on MFC would be so much better: that is, to replace any compliments directed at the model to oneself. If you would be disgusted by your own remark, then why would you expect the model to react any differently? Would you like to get raped whilst sleeping, for instance? It's even more frustrating when you realise that these people are supposed to be adults, yet they fail to act like adults.

I could go on, but I feel there's a sufficient list here. I hope it makes sense when I'm typing this on 6h sleep >.<

The above may be the single best post I have read in my short time in this forum. Should be required reading for every member, new and old! :notworthy:

I hate when one of our "roving" models is on location doing a daring public show from a car, restaurant, parking lot, library, etc., there are scady-eight umpteen people in the room, we're right in the middle of the action, and every 10 seconds a late arriver chimes in with "What's going on?" or "Where is she?" or "Is that a (fill in the blank...)?" First of all, most of the time if you take 2 seconds to read the fucking topic, you'll understand what's going on. Second, if the topic isn't specific or clear, just STFU and watch for a bit, and maybe between the video action and the chat, you'll actually figure it out by your lonesome. The people grooving to the action don't want to take time and attention to explain the setup every time someone comes late to the party, and the model is too preoccupied in the middle of the action to stop and re-introduce the "plot" a few dozen times! :woops:

I claim this as a model pet peeve too! So there :p

I don't understand this statement, first the one (it seems) directed at JJ then...I'm choosing not to interpret this the way it sounds because it sounds kinda mean. You been drunk-posting again?

I'm glad he asked too. Not saying posting like an idiot when drunk is OK, but clearly posting these things when sober is far worse.

A rude awakening to what, exactly?
If you're of the opinion that I'm a whore, that's fantastic, but it's just that...an opinion.
You thinking I'm a whore doesn't make me one, the same as 100 people thinking I'm a whore, or even 1,000.
It has absolutely no bearing on my life, any effect on how I feel about myself, or make it a concrete truth, sooo???

Not that it would matter, I have the greatest affection for our resident "Site Whore".

Seriously though, I think its just a really badly worded attempt to say that you guys can get as much from camming as we the members do. Hopefully he will come back and apologise for a poor choice of words so we know he isn't a douchbag.

After what he said about JJ though, he is probably just a douchbag.

First of all, I want to apologize to you, JJ. I was nowhere near thinking clearly when I made that post. If I was, it would have never even been an issue. I know you work very hard on and off cam for your raffle items and are 100% honest with your raffle drawings. In a more sober and coherent moment, I might have just suggested that you draw runner up winners in case there are unclaimed items instead of the jack ass way I went about it while drunk and exhausted. I sincerely apologize for hurting your feelings and in no way do I even remotely think of you as being greedy. In fact, I think you are one of the most generous and giving models on the entire site.

As for the Noelle quote, I'm not even sure where the heck that came from in my deluded state of mind, lol. I certainly wasn't directing it towards Noelle or anyone in particular. If anything, it was just a general statement regarding how relationships between members and models can be confusing at times from both sides of the cam.

Most, if not all of the models were blessed by genetics. Some, or most, work hard to maintain that, and most, if not all, put quite a bit of effort into how they present themselves on camera. If a compliment for that effort makes me shallow, cheesy, and snide, so be it. I can always aspire to be more cerebral and to rise to your level of sophistication some day.

If I do make a compliment, it certainly is not for your edification, so apologies if you don't like it. Just so you know, most (but not all) of my snide comments are included in a tip note. To increase your enjoyment, you should consider a "right click" on the offending member name, and click "ignore". This may help you in your quest to be cheese-free.

I notice a slight contradiction here. It is shallow, cheesy, and snide to compliment the efforts made in a girl's appearance...but it's not shallow to compliment something the girl has no control over? Hmmm.

And I'm not giving a free pass to the dudes who spam the various garish and (yes) cheesy emotes, and the dudes who can't string together a coherent thought. But I guess I missed the memo that made thoughtful comments passé.

This whole deal sounds a lot like the dudes that say they read Playboy for the articles. If I want to read the articles, I'll be visiting NYT.com, not MFC.

I honestly think he was talking about the very annoying people who compliment a part of our body ever 3 seconds, usually without even a hello.
1:52 pm "Nice pussy"
1:55 pm "Nice booty"
2:00 pm "gawd that's a nice pussy"
2:02 pm "that asshole is tongue worthy"
2:04 pm "nice legs"
This type gets old and is usually insincere (they just have nothing else worth saying) I don't think horny was talking about the sincere compliments that are more than just "nice pussy bb"

Ah, I think I've written my post too hastily. I intended to suggest that an abundance of compliments in regards to one's genitalia/sexually appeasing body-parts seems cheesy, and sometimes rather shallow if that's all they're appreciated for. I understand that models may choose to invest a significant amount of time perfecting the presentation of themselves on cam - I do appreciate that effort. I ought to have clarified that it's snide when remarks are made about how members fantasize about performing dubious sexual acts on these models, as if they're mere sexual objects. An example may be the constant influx of "nice pussy bb" and "can i lick ur nipple bb? ur perfect".

I think my point in regards to complimenting beauty was that the general focus is too sexually orientated - there's always an appreciation of genitalia/breasts, but never about their overall appearance.

I'm not sure what your point was in regards to your personal preferences. I mainly have a problem with 'distasteful' remarks if the model appears to be uncomfortable with it - which in many cases, they may be. Respect is a mutual thing, hence why I dislike certain remarks being made in a room. If the model doesn't mind and I felt offended, then I'd simply adopt your strategy of 'ignoring' them (either through the system, or mentally - preferably the latter).

I'm not sure what you're implying with your analogy about the Playboy Magazines, but I don't intend to imply that I solely come to MFC for the social interaction or whatever's implied. I come to have fun, to participate in the socially interactive setting, and to appreciate the beauty of the female body. It's the combination which drives the retention.

EDIT - These distasteful remarks I've referenced is exemplified by the quotes in Jolene's post. That's what I regard as snide, shallow and cheesy. I do realise that the level of subjectivity makes this a point of contention. I hope I've clarified it for you.

EDIT 2 - Rereading what you've written, it appears that you've conflated appreciation of beauty with the purported 'appreciation' of the vagina/breasts. They're not quite the same thing, despite similarities.

"MFC's 50/50 split for models and their tokens. It's a rip off for the girls and a real put off for me anyway to buy tokens knowing 50%+ is going into the site's pocket. "

I know it seems like a bummer sometimes, but if you think about it in terms of, if MFC is handling the webhosting, member signups, credit card transactions, etc - that would be a lot of work AND money for an independent cam girl on her own to handle.

I always remind people who complain about this that 1. it's not a 50/50 split if members buy a bigger package of tokens, we are actually getting around 60%, and 2. MFC gives the models a much fairer share of the income than many other popular camsites. And of course if they continue to pester about it, I go into the fact that MFC handles all the pain in the ass aspects of it so I can focus on putting on a good show and running a fun chat.

This has probably been covered, i haven't been through all the pages so i apologise if it has.

Members who PM a model and then instantly type in chat "check pm bb" or equivalent. I've sometimes PM'd a model and it's taken 10-20 mins for a reply but i always waited as i know models are busy and will get back to me eventually but some members seem to need an instant reply.
And the same with mfc mail. "Just sent you mfc mail bb, read and reply k?" Give the model a chance, she's online and working. And you know that most of the time, the PM or mail is just going to end up being something that doesn't really need a reply, a general comment they could have said in chat or something weird.
It's even worse when the model is doing a show, especially something messy or with oil where touching their computer isn't ideal, and they are like that. Do they really want a model to stop the show and reply to them rather than wait 5 minutes?

It has been my experience, when I need a model's attention, tip notes are very effective :-D

Biggest pet peeves are when a member asks a questions that has been answered less than a minute ago. Another one will be when people use lower case letters and no underscores to say hi to me. 3rd pet peeve would be when members demand something from a model without tipping.
