Sadly (for the humor), she may have lied--or at least greatly exaggerated her account of the story.

Just making a wild guess, I bet she used parts of their conversation, like his malapropisms, to create a very funny story. Maybe she should be hired by SNL as a writer--Odin knows they could use better writers these days. :)

Oh, the story did get a brief mention in Brian's Wikipedia article. :)

I suspect anyone who knows him will be able to confirm or deny that all the details she tweeted about his background and growing up and referring to himself as an "artist" is in fact the way he speaks (or not).

I don't find anything she tweeted to be implausible - it COULD have happened, hell such things DO happen all the time. Why would she pick on a stranger to very publicly shame him, if it wasn't true?

:-D For the shits and giggles? True or false, I think it was very cleverly done, and if taken as a humorous bit of "twittery," it's a win. :)

The person who initially claimed that it's false is the person whose reputation is on the line if it isn't.

Whether it is true or false, I don't really care. All we have is his word, and her word. It fun either way.

A little off-topic here, but isn't your cell phone supposed to be shut off on a plane?

I don't care if this is true or not, it's still fairly amusing to me.

Some airlines have started to offer in flight wifi.

You have to turn off all electronics during take-off and landing. Before takeoff, between the two, and after landing, you're good to go.

This is why no-one should read the Daily Racist...I mean Mail...

I see the supplement section errs from their usual subjects of foreigners coming over here and stealing our jobs, women and houses and anything giving you cancer

Piss poor paper, a tabloid rag

???

I speak from personal experience. The attendants go through and forcibly turn off all your electronics just before take-off, tell you that you can use them when you're in the air (once they tell you it's safe to move about), then forcibly turn them off just before landing.

I was on about the source of the news, The Daily Mail :thumbleft:

Yet another non-news story

It was far from the only source, just the one I happened to link, and it certainly wasn't the first one to turn the tweets into a news story

I don't know why everyone hates the daily mail so much, whenever I'm bored I like reading the stories there and like that you can see lots down the side of the page and like reading the comments. It's funny how many people actually comment there about how crap the paper is, yet they still go there and read the stories and comment on them?
How can you say stories like this arn't news?! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... point.html
