A lot of them have been doing it many years, and have a large circle of regulars built up.
Plus, some countries get different placement from others, I think.
But it's more likely you're comparing yourself to people who have been doing this a long time and/or have built up a following in different fetish genres on other sites already.
There are models on SM who have 20K plus followers who get notified when they get online, due to having so many faves (being faved) from so many active accounts. Then there are newer models who have a lot less. I think it really just comes down to that. You could have the same in time too. Just takes time and consistency.
Sorry edit window ran out, but this might be helpful too; It took me 2-3 years (in better economic times) of streaming roughly part time, and making clips part -time, to build up that level of busyness on SM. Might be harder now. That was back in 2015.
I also made (and still make) it very clear that I am not a model who is going to hang out there for an 8 hour shift, so my followers know they gotta bite then and there, or wait until next time.
