Holy crap, I just found these things and these look so cool!

moodINQ Tattoos

I don't know how much the sub-dermal implants cost. Or how safe they are because I haven't gone and done my research yet but I wanted to gush about how cool it seems and ask what everyone thinks about them. Could you just imagine? I could tattoo my 'Gasm Guys list on my ass and then change it anytime I need to! :o

Okay, I'm done being a dork now.

The idea of a life-long skin implant sounds awfully scary.
But then again, I can't get over my aversion to breast implants.

Yeah, the whole implant thing kinda scares me. I think of it almost like skin grafts and wonder if there's a possibility that the body might reject them and leave behind a big ol' scar. But, I've always wanted a tattoo and every time I come up with a design I like I hate it a few weeks later. This would be pretty perfect for that...as long as there's not of that big ol' scar mentioned previously...

I feel like i've heard about something similar (but real) for diabetics?

http://dsc.discovery.com/news/2009/02/12/diabetes-tattoo.html

It's definitely interesting... a lot of my friends are very in to augmentation. I recall a TED talk a little while back where a woman who doesn't have her biological legs can use amazing artistic and technologically advanced prosthetics to transform her whole body in to a work of art or a machine that can run marathons. She told a story about how jealous a friend of her's got because she could change her height at will.

We're gradually gearing up to an age where a person's biological body might not hash up to the augmentation they can get - I'm predicting the first people who voluntarily have body parts removed and replaced with mechanical bits will happen in our lifetime.

...Yes. That was what tattoos made me think of, I guess.

A changing tattoo would be interesting but seems like it would be kind of hard on your skin.

Oh well... At least, Nerdy, you can at least console yourself with the fact that your boobies are awesome and real.

And I don't even have that consolation. I've just been fooled fair and square.
