Pretty neat! I think it's a good thing to have a safe space for us to post adult content. I'm interested in hearing a members point of view. I like that anyone who has friended or bookmarked me would automatically be following me there if they log in to it because it seems like there's already so many places we have to direct members to go to get us. I'm curious as to what kind of advertising there is for this platform, because this is the only place I've seen anything besides hearing another model talk about it briefly in her room today.

I'll personally never use it. This seems like a rather silly place for them to spend development time/money considering all the other issues they could be addressing. Snapchat is basically already basically a NSFW Twitter, that's where all my friends already post their pictures and online updates. Zero need for yet another place to find updates for me.

Pro, the platform will not ban adult content.
Con, if your banned, you loose this platform as well.

This may be a reaction to tumblr banning porn, and then facebook fallowing suit.
Instagram doesn't permit porn, but they've never been great at enforcing the ban.
Snapchat TOS doesn't allow porn ether, but it's always been out of site, out of mind.

Considering the climate, Instagram, snapchat, much like tumblr, could easily implement neural networks to auto block porn. Especially under the new laws where these platforms can be held libel for the content posted on their platforms.

The only con is it won't draw any new traffic to MFC, but I like it.
Yeah people might call it "MFC Twitter" but it doesn't have the traffic reach of regular twitter. Sure the people who already know about us/MFC can see our sales/login messages but it's not the same as outside social media marketing.

I'm not sure I want another social media platform to follow. I barely have time to do the little bit of reading on the ones I already do. I'm sure a number of people are in a similar situation

I agree, and of course I'm feeling the pressure to HAVE to have this one now, too, since it's the new thing and it's on the platform that I call home.

If at some point it is more integrated into the site, like a mix of news feed and whiteboard or something, I could see it being more usable for someone who feels the way you do.

I'm already on it, and it seems nice. Unfortunately, I see it as a fleeting craze. Fairly certain it's going to die down fast. Most likely it will end up mainly being used as the alternative 'members only paid' version of a models twitter - choosing to only post premium nude pictures on Social (for a monthly Share Club fee, of course), leaving their main twitter for tamer stuff.

If I use this can I talk about my other sites on it?
Good question, but my initial reaction is no. Not sure at all though, no rules or information has really been released.

Honestly, I feel like MFC has put out way too much now and they need to integrate a lot of this stuff for the sake of everyone.

As it is, I feel inundated with too much information between charlesbot, the whiteboard, mfcshare and the model's topic. Many times, I've seen models have conflicting tip rates on things between all three. For those of us members who actually read things, it's confusing as fuck. :p

I'd really like to see them shitcan the profile, the whiteboard and merge mfcshare in with the social homepage for the model. Keep charlesbot, so that things from mfcshare can be linked. At this point, I really see no need for the profile or whiteboard anymore.

Not meant to be a knock on mfc, as I like that they are trying to make improvements on things. But, they really need to consolidate stuff down. The more complex they make it, with different things, the more there will be problems and potential security holes.

That being said, still waiting on things we members can do with our Rewards Points aside from just another shitty lounge.

I’m inclined to agree with you either fully or mostly on many of these points. Simplify, integrate, get rid of a few elements once others are morphed into something more unified and consistent.

I also wish reward points meant something more to members than just font changes, name changes, and lounge access.

I agree with most of what you say except that I think that the whiteboard still have a place when it comes to tip menus. The whiteboard is easy for models to edit and for members to find and read, a surprising amount of models don't know the commands for CharlesBot and a lot of members ignore the ads anyway. Also if the model has a lot of CharlesBot ads it can take awhile before the one with the the tip menu comes around.

I think they can easily merge the whiteboard with mfcshare and still keep it simple. Look at some of the CMS suites out there, scrolling pages, etc. with how clean it can be while still keeping things together.

My thought on charlesbot is that it's used to announce some promotions, etc. that reference mfcshare (or whiteboard if it's kept). I'm not talking heavy spam. Just a few here and there to announce stuff. As to if models don't know charlesbot commands, that's on them. It's a business tool, and if they can't/wont/don't know then that's something they should probably take the time to learn.

I'm gonna use it to tell leo directly that I hate the camscore thing.
Because that's the only thing keeping me from using that site regularly.
Kinda a waste of your efforts, frankly. Not sure why you’d focus on that as a best use of this new tool. (Get over it, camscore is a thing on MFC. Hate to be so bold but go to another site if you hate this aspect so much.)

This is analogous to my absolute hatred for Facebook. I find it intrusive on all levels, and an extreme invasion of privacy the way they collect, store, and share private data about everyone in any way they can get it.

That said, I'm not going to go create a Facebook account just to tell Zuckerberg he's a fucking douche bag who needs to put his entire site out of business. Not only will he not listen to me, but the fact that he's been doing it that way since day one, and his entire business model (admittedly a highly successful one) is based on being that big of a fucking douche bag, means he wouldn't change it even if he did read my posts to him.

Simple alternative is to go find some other social media, not use any social media he has acquired, not use facebook logins, not have his app installed on my phone, block facebook related tracking cookies, and do everything in my power to not support his fucking douche bag empire in any way. Then hope others do the same in such numbers as to make facebook the next myspace.

(No, i'm not comparing Leo to Mark in this analogy. Just the idea of finding a different site versus telling the owner how to run his business.)

It seems like a waste of time to me. Maybe I'll attract one or two new members by posting an occasional update (I'll probably use it the same way I use the MFC Newsfeed), but other than that, all I see is a bunch of other models doing the same thing.

I agree. I feel extremely overwhelmed with all of the new stuff. I feel like there were a lot of things added from December until now. I just found out about MFC Alerts tonight. I actually didn't have a profile for a long time. It was blank and made no difference at all to my income.

I like it. Spam free and no trolls... so far! At present, I'm seeing a lot of models feel confident and safe enough to post material on social that they felt unable to post on twitter. To me it represents what twitter should've been like ... if only twitter had tried harder to rein in all the trolls, micro tyrants and assorted shitheads. I'm not a twitter user btw!;)

I'm thinking that maybe in time it could make for a service than can replace features like the MFC newsfeed... even MFC themselves hardly ever used the newsfeed!

:)

One thing about this is that it's clean and easy on the eyes if it were to be used as a self-contained platform for advertising oneself as a model. However, i do agree that it needs more integration to the main page.

As it stands, the default page is a clusterfuck of profiles all shoved onto one screen, can be a bit annoying to navigate, especially for a brand new patron that's wondering where to begin.

I agree with team consolidate and simplify.

- We don't need news feed and MFC social, one or the other is fine.

- I find the concept of nuking profiles interesting, especially because everything that used to be on our profiles is now on our Shares.

- We still have access to photo galleries on our profile, while having a better alternative on Share.

- I know this isn't a "share" thread but honestly I find MFC to be confusing on some things it's added to share. For example, why allow B/G content on share? It's antithetical to MFC. I think the rules should be simple & clear. Not "no dicks allowed on cam, but hey check out this MFC site where there's a bunch of dicks."

if i had to take an, admittedly, very uneducated guess it probably has something to do with wanting models to have all of their content sold through MFC instead of them having to have accounts on other clip sites to sell B/G content

I can see what you're getting at. I think the main portion of the site - that being the live cam show portion - is where the "no dicks" policy upholds the most importance, therefore still one of MFC's most appealing aspects. MFC probably knows how B/G scenes are desired content, so might as well extend themselves into that market without veering away as a female-focused website from its most visible and most important part of the site. I think the "no dicks" appeal is still there.
