I don't see how sex can be a social construct, as it has to do with organs used for sexual reproduction, which is biological. But we all can believe whatever we want.

My comment plus a few others explained it in further detail. I realize it's a bit of a radical perspective, but there's so many variables and in betweens. Our existing ideas of biological male vs. female are over-simplified and come from the same sort of binary thinking about gender.

As for organs used for reproduction defining biological sex, what happens when an individual has both male and female anatomy? No, that doesn't automatically determine what their gender identity will be, but they obviously can't be classified as simply female or male either.

I have a penis. But I refuse to let it define me.

Now if you will all excuse me, I have a skype date with my favorite Mfc model. We are going to bongacams to masturbate together while perusing their transsexual category.

See what happens when you keep delaying your launch?

I will ask everyone on this thread to please keep their views/beliefs to themselves. This topic has become personal and is now becoming a distraction. Again, if there is a tran who would like to add to this, please do.

My decision for the category has nothing to do with models and their personal lives, but was decided from a members end. I know how I will handle this and since we are holding the launch to continue development, I will make the adjustment.

But please, respect each other's views whether they align with yours or do not. This thread has been very productive and I ask we keep it moving in a productive direction.

I hope everyone had a fun and safe NYE. I am currently driving 23 hours from NYC to back home. I pulled over to write this because I do care about all of your views and do not want to see this thread get out-of-hand.

Happy 2016!

So...another delay in launching the site?

So...another delay in launching the site?

I will announce when registration is open, but until then I will not be providing anymore timelines to avoid misleading everyone. My priority is making sure everything on the site is how I want it for the launch. I am not interested in having this site be just another at the bottom of the list. I apologize for the extended time, but it is necessary at this point for this startup.

Loosing the trademark while "making sure everything on the site is how I want it for the launch." seems an interesting strategy.

Oh that doesn't sound good...

I feel like, of all the proposed new cam sites to post at ACF over the years, a lot of people are going to be disappointed to see this one never take off.

I was just checking to see if anything ever happened with this site, and if I understand this correctly, it looks like their trademark was suspended back in October...

The trademark is not what has been suspended here, just action on the registration process (which is not yet complete). Could be for various reasons. Registration can be a long and annoying process. In any case, it's not as if you need to have your trademark registered in order to use it -- it simply helps protect it from misuse by proving you're the legal owner.

Damn what will they do with those 10 thousand stickers of theirs...
Afix one to each of their 10 thousand hats I suppose, then throw the whole lot in a dumpster...

Everyone - hope all is well?
I get I've been silent for a long period of time, but man! How little faith people have. I get there are many sites that attempt to start and fail, I get it, but there needs to be some positivity. For all the doubters, the site is still moving forward, Which is the reason I have posted again. The last few post were getting too negative for my taste.

You haven't really tweeted about your site in over 3 months. What else are we supposed to think?

I understand. You've made a great point. While I've been so focused on the site, I did go silent and I apologize for that. I am back, however, for a reason. The site is currently in the testing phase. My development team has asked for models to test the site and provide feedback. So I am posting again asking any model willing for assistance.
This is for models only (very important).
The goal is to make sure all features work, catch any bugs, etc. It is a chance to see the site and provide feedback.
I only need a handful of models and I ask any model interested to send me a private message. From there I will provide more details.
As always, thank you for your response!

I hope you will compensate the models with fixed hourly rate when they’ll test an empty site and even after the official launch when you are likely to have very little traffic. Having said that, even hourly rate will not guarantee the site to take off, we’ve seen many such cases with FWC and Bonga and what have you.

we subject members to competitions and have created the leveling.

Why? Most people have enough competition at work and daily life, why would they want to have more competition when they visit a cam site?

I have read the whole thread and I’m still wondering why would members move from e.g. MFC to this new site (if and when it launches). The “features” on higher levels sound like what everyone already gets on MFC when they sign up as premiums. Furthermore, the higher level features on MFC (e.g. different lounges, Platinum features, PM/cam window privileges, private galleries etc.) will not be available if I have understood correctly. Basically you’re asking people to join and spend a good amount of money to unlock similar features they already have on MFC as a default.

And let’s not forget that many members have spent a considerable amount of time and money on MFC to build their “status”, for lack of a better word. I think your only hope is to get a lot of popular models to join your site and wish their regulars will follow them. But even then it would be better if those models also quit MFC (or the regulars would still see them there and wouldn’t bother making the move) and I don’t think that will be very likely. Plus there are new MFC models signing up every day.

But good luck anyway.

There was a lot of good momentum building up on this thread towards your site. We were all kind of excited to see it launch and some models were surely going to sign up.

But that was one year ago. If I remember correctly you promised the launch for November 2015. Then moved it back to December. Then to the beginning of 2016, and then you disappeared from the face of the Earth, never replied to this thread again.

So all the momentum you had is gone. Because models that were thinking of signing up and giving your site a try are now wondering if this is a serious venture and if they can trust you. If you didn't commit to your own timetable what other things will you push back after committing to them?

Opening a brand new camsite and offering nothing but promises requires trust. And I was disappointed by a one year delay.

I very much understand your point of view. In complete honesty, my original deadlines were ambitious. The best way to describe it is that at the beginning of the race, I was the Hare. Then, I became the Tortoise. I think it is important to ask yourself, why do most camsite startups fail? All the answers are usually similar: need models and traffic. But, most individuals do not know what goes into a camsite at the backend. So the other 80 percent of reasons sites fail are missed.
Yes, there was good momentum and for good reason. The thread discussed many topics I was dealing with while custom building a website. But then I entered the backend of the site. The more technical end. Model advice/insight has no meaning when it comes to CDN, Encoders, etc. So my focus took me away from the thread, but for good reason. Most sites fail because anyone can buy a website template and in a years time launch a site. To compete with MFC, CB, and others...a years time is not good enough.
If anyone ever has a question about the site, they can post or message me. I will respond.

Also, thank you for responding! One of the reasons this thread was so successful was because questions and comments are posted.

It is also important that members and models realize the dangers of being open and responsive in this forum. For example, if you look at page 8, response 4 written by me....you will read a comment of mine talking about a feature of the site. Now, everyone wants to know how the site differs, etc. But, here is where the danger comes into play.
If anyone has been following the new thread from the site Dicking-Around.com and you review one of the model profiles setup there, you will see the "Spoil Me" tab. An idea I developed and named myself, and taken straight from my thread while being reponsive to the models and members I enjoyed conversing with.
So my question to everyone is: who would you rather join? The site that has been open, responsive, and is the originator of features? A site working hard to provide quality of service. OR, a site that takes ideas and launches sooner?

I promise everyone, I have taken longer for good reason, and my silence was for good reason.

Dude. The concept of "spoil me" is not unique.

We are all already working on cam sites. Most of us will work where ever will benefit us the most and annoy us the least. You already have competition and you don't need to smear some of it, just be better.

Yeah, plenty of models have had this exact tab with these same words on their solo sites since the beginning of camming/internet porn.
Not exactly revolutionary.

Get used to it, decreases the stress level a lot.
Everything you post on the internet will be taken by everyone who has a use for it, no point to complain about it....

Don't tell me when you see a nice feature on a website you don't copy it, because you worry about copyrights....

:)

The one that is up and running, selling me tokens so can try to make booties shake. In the short term, that sort of rules HHC and Dinkin' aRound out.

From a member perspective, @CamSoda isn't a bad little site. No spoil me tab, but I don't have much use for that anyway.
Now this has me wondering, how long did it take them to go from the "cut bait" to the "fish" stage?

You are correct. It is more to make sure what I have worked hard for does not develop a bad rep.

It's good to understand all the aspects of the sites. You are asking the right question. My site has been in development since May 2015. So, it has not been that long in the scheme of things.

I will join the site that offers me both the best deal and the highest level of trust. Neither you or Sparkleston are even open yet or have any traffic numbers to offer us... and since you are both brand new companies I don't have a reason to trust you with my time and money. The only thing you have going for you when your company is new is your reputation. So I would try to take good care of it.
