"New Model" status on MFC

Hey guys. I'm in the process of becoming an MFC model. Of course, I want to go full throttle starting out, but I know I can't start until 2 weeks from now. If I make my account on MFC now, would that automatically start my "New Model" tag?

I don't want to start my tag until I start camming, but that won't be for another 2 weeks.
I just want to make sure it's safe to register/apply as a model now, without tapping my "New Model" status.

It only starts counting once you begin broadcasting, not when you just sign up.
