New on Streammate.

Hi! I'm Jen, I just registered for Streammate. I've done camming before, but I was focused more on my job at the time and had a horrible experience through the studio I was using. Since then I've been researching as much information as I can, and I'm stuck on one question.

I recently received a Venue 8 Pro as a gift and I was wondering if anyone else has tried to stream from a tablet. My internet speed is extremely reliable... My boyfriend is an online gamer and I run multiple devices on our network without any issues. Still, I'm hesitant because I know what video lag can do to a chat room. I will be working mostly from a laptop, but I still have a while before I can purchase a more reliable computer/cam set up. I'm open to all comments and any other information you feel would benefit me as I get back into it. Thanks

I really wouldn't suggest streaming from a tablet, they're awesome for viewing but for streaming thou want a much better processor than a tablet can offer. You'll also want to be using the encoder for better placement which requires a good laptop. What type of camera are you using for your stream? A good camera is important for success and so is a good connection. There is a thread here with lots of great tips for being successful on streamate. You should also look into getting model status for even more great information.

OK so I am a member posting in a thread for models, but I have had a couple Skype shows with the model using her iPad. I don't really recommend it. The quality was not great and for whatever reason it kept skipping. She is my favourite so I stuck around and thanked her and all that good stuff. But yeah, was not the best experience.
