I will believe Nood is "personality based" when I see more diversity when it comes to models looks. Right now it looks more like Barbie.tv: every model has a BMI of 18 with itty bitties and the only thing that changes is the hairstyle, outfit and eye color.

Can you blame her for that? If she's saying paying for bandwidth is a current issue, only having models that fit that largest demographic beta test is a smart move. As creepy as it is the largest(or at least most lucrative) purchasing audience currently wants, cosplay, lolita, victim types of looks. It's a wise business decision.

While this might be true for MFC, it is not the case for Chaturbate. The lolita look is not very popular there. So it is far from being universally appealing to the largest demographic. And I don't "blame" her for preferring a certain look, but I think it is hypocritical to do that and then claim you are going after a "personality based" experience. If that was her priority she would choose models according to their persona and not their look. Any model worth her salt knows that looks don't translate into how much a model earns or how lucrative she is. Models earn according to charisma and smarts.

At the same time we're talking about a site that has a lot of 'sleep' streams. What personality is coming across there? I think her bucket list of the site is to have personality first however fast cash says looks come first. Look at all the vending machines on CB, non-talking cute girls that only respond to tip vibes that fill front page of it. Zero personality and dead chat rooms with 8k people in them but they're printing money.

I wouldn't take it as an insult to models working hard to gain members and are active in their rooms, but you have to consider how much time that takes and how much bandwidth it costs the site before you see the financial returns on 'personality'. She may no longer be in the position to afford that time and not go under. She may not want it this way but as the owner is forced to make very hard decisions.

I feel like it might be her way of stating she hopes the site is less sexual and more innocently playful. Maybe?

Again: Chaturbate is not Myfreecams. The order on the homepages tells you zilch about how much money a model is capable of pulling. A girl can hog the #1 spot and make less than a model from page 2. So the fact that there are many generic Lush models on the first page means simply that they attract a lot of lurkers but if what Nood is aiming for is maximizing earnings while minimizing costs she would benefit more from charismatic models who connect with a smaller audience in a meaningful way.

This doesn't line up with her previous statements (for example, in

and
)
and tweets from other people (at some point someone was tweeting claiming to be part of the development team, said some stupid things and Chloe apologised for it).

Either way - sure, the site is in beta, but a lot of the feedback from JerryBoBerry is something that should had been fixed very early on during usability studies, long before the site went into any sort of alpha/beta testing.

Oh I didn't realize she has devs now. I'm just explaining what is going on and why features aren't here yet.

EDIT: No nevermind, those devs were just junior devs and they didn't last long and the entire site was coded by chloe on her own. I needed to double check bc ya had me confused there haha :D.

From what I've been told, we are encouraged to be as sexual as we want, its just they really want interaction between the model and the viewers. That's what is meant by personality based, is being interactive and getting to know each other.

Unless the model is sleeping, lol. ;)

Yeah, it helps Chloe test the servers and all kinds of things. Plus I must admit its pretty fun :D, I've done a couple lol. I'm not sure if it will continue past beta since the whole site is going to be based on interaction . We will see! Things are always changing bc its beta. My regulars really enjoy seeing me sleep bc its intimate. When a lot of models are on, some sleeping models isnt really a big deal ya know? Its also fun bc other sites don't let us do that c:. I think its cool personally, but maybe that's just me.

Is it hard to fall asleep with people watching you? I wouldn't be uncomfortable with that personally and would just lay there feeling weird.

With her giving models a greater percentage, she's not going to have as much money to burn on bandwidth.

And right now she doesn't have a great way to motivate people to manage their own bandwith. Traditional methods, like sorting by profit per hour, doesn't work if they have no one to compete against.

She could always implement a are you still there prompt, like netflix. So people can't just turn on their camera and walk away.

The site doesn't offer anything of interest to me as a member yet. Tokens are more expensive, no discounts for bulk token purchases, only one payment processor, buggy interface, no customer support, no members cams, no members rooms, no way of muting & ignoring members, no mailing system, no way to filter models, no way of searching for models when they're offline.
You can tell it has been designed by a model, there seems to have been very little thought put into the members experience - just all about what the models want .
According to Nood's about page "Camming is community" but they seem to of forgotten that it is the members not models that make up and finance that community!

Nah, sleep cams don't really help test anything that you couldn't test in cheaper ways. (I do this for my day job - we rarely use real traffic for testing and we reserve that approach as a last resort for the rare cases where it involves interactions with external systems beyond our control)

Besides the issues mentioned by WombRaider, there's a few more:
- you can't easily 'tip' a lot of stars at once to move things along - it's either manual clicks (hi, RSI!) or installing software to click for you.. And it leads to the next issue:
- a long yellow wall which ends up interrupting all chat.. We've always complained about 1 token yellow walls on MFC, now we get 10 token/1star walls on nood...
- speaking of annoyances, the /play command.. Why? Just.. Why? It's just a collection of obnoxious sounds that will be abused horribly once more people use the site.
- to buy tokens, you have to leave the room, which makes no sense - they could make the token purchase window a popup (similar to MFC) or use dynamic html features to overlay/replace the existing chat window temporarily.

You do know the site is beta? And you do know what beta is? I am pretty sure they know all of this and working on it before they release because they are in "Beta". Your making a judgement based off a beta site? You should wait to see the finished product before you say anything. All sites don't start out perfect and to be honest, no site is perfect. Many issues with chaturbate, mfc and guess what, they are still improving. Chloe even acknowledges this in her tweets.

Out of nowhere they suddenly started development again, and currently have models testing with them.

There may be some animosity toward the site because they carry a pretty "holier than thou" tone to some of their public interactions over the 100 years they've been in development.

edit to add: apparently they're allowing date raffles because they "aren't MFC and aren't a US company."

I don't know where they are officially based to give them so much freedom but the owner could end up as the next Mila Milan.
She's streaming from an Asian country where "indecent" activities like nude camming or pornography are strictly forbidden.

I know what Beta is and I agree with @WombRaider and @weirdbr for the reasons they stated there is nothing on the site that is of interest to me. This is kinda like how we are expected to pay for early access games theses days. If someone creates something and publishes it they have to accept that people will have opinions on it. Your mentality that we are not allowed to criticize something because it is not finished is really consumer unfriendly especially these days when things can be sold and still be unfinished years later. If someone asks for money for something I am of the opinion that we are allowed to critique it. In this case they even gave reasons for why the site is of no interest to them as of yet which makes their criticism constructive. At the moment other camming sites do this stuff better and I don't know any people on the site so there is no reason for me to start using it.

I'm curious and also suspicious. Seems like a lotta "look what I can do~" stuff on their twitter. Like sleep streaming and in-public broadcasts. :wondering:
I was thinking the same thing! seems to be clever marketing though considering i’m sure this will bring in lots of models who are fed up with those being against the rules on other cam sites

Is this a app or a website?

I just did my first Nood stream and I want to share my experience!

Firstly, there are definitely a lot of important features that haven't been implemented yet, that have already been mentioned. The stars/tokens thing can be confusing at first; it took me awhile to get the hang of it. And the lack of profiles, messaging, etc. etc. etc.

But I had a LOT of fun and I have found the existing user base to be really friendly and welcoming, to both me and my viewers from other sites. The streaming quality is excellent, and it has transcoding so models can stream in 1080 (and even 4k!) without sacrificing an audience, unlike MFC.

If you're looking to join a 100% finished camsite, then Nood probably isn't what you're looking for yet. If you want to get in on the ground floor of a new camsite that has a rad community and support any faves who want to be part of it...fuck yeah. Most people who're signing up are doing so because they want to be part of something new and exciting or they want to support those who do, so it's a really neat environment.

I'm really looking forward to where this site is going and plan on making it a regular part of my streaming.

I think Mila Milan's getting caught was more drug related than MFC-related. Or more large-scale porn related.

I want to take back my comments, I spoke hastily. I have been seeing a lot more diversity there these past few days and I have been hanging out and having a really good time over there. So I am now a Nood.tv convert.

You are no doubt free of your opinion and even more your interests. Just as well, there is no doubt they are negative as well. You seem to be close minded to be honest. I don't see you poking at what Chaturbate and Myfreecams need to work on do I? People that are not in beta and been around for years. A new site pops up out of nowhere and already has a great potential of users, models, video feed, community and so much more. Even other models previously speak up how great the site is. So if you are going to list what is bad, list what is good as well. Unless, you don't see it but others do. Because your mentality comes off very anti and pessimistic. At the moment, also other camsites do things worst which nood is already doing better. And I am not the only mouth that is saying this. Camgirls and even more users (tippers and non-tippers are as well). Read the social media.

I'm pretty excited for the platform because it seems much more creative. However, I'm still waiting to get approved. I might not fit the look they're going for.

Just chiming innnnn. I honestly didn't expect I would be approved for beta testing... I mean I cam mainly on streamate and do boy girl shows 90% of the time these days. So like "my style" was fuck show after fuck show haha Right now I feel like they have a WIDE range of girls and styles beta testing. But they can't invite too many during the beta testing round of things.

I'm not the most techy, and don't know a timeline, but don't be worried about what your 'style' is. So many different styles and shows can work on nood, it really is a friendly and nice place to stream. The community there has been so open and welcoming.

stay excited girl!!!!!

What we were talking about before about common 'looks' was speculation at best. I pretty sure eventually everyone will get in as it becomes sustainable.

The only clear thing right now is her choice of not allowing male models is a bias choice as there are enough sites that prove that male models have a market to themselves so the choice to deny them is no longer business oriented argument but personal bias. Even more so since she's looking for 'personality' driven camming focus. Again this is my opinion but just another thing to add to the list of business related mistakes I feel she's making to appease other models instead of what is required to get maximum member investment. Businesses exist to make money this is no a none profit. Having male models on cam sites isn't chasing other members away. SM and CB both benefit from the income they make off their male models.

Awww, thanks Jessie! Btw, you are gorgeous and I love your style! 420 babes are stellar :h:

I know it's still in beta and testing. I'm just eager to get out there more since I started camming again. I'm trying to stay positive. I applied May 5th so fingers crossed!

Nood didn't pop up from nowhere it has been in development for years. It might be good for models but as it has been previously pointed out it offers very little to members at this point and you said it wasn't allowed to be criticized as it was only in beta. The criticism that was laid out was constructive to show what could be improved upon to give users a better experience. I don't have the interest nor the money it would take review a beta site that I have no interest in. I don't consider myself to be close minded, but I am cautious when people get all hyped up about something and tries to put down critique.

When it comes to games there are a couple of reasons for me to consider buying one that is in early access.
  1. It does something no one else has done, for example Minecraft no one had made a game where you build with blocks before that so I got it while it was in alpha.
  2. It does something better that any one has done previously, for example Prison Architect it was better that the Prison Tycoon games even when it was in early alpha.
  3. You trust the people that are making it will knows how to make a good game, for example Wasteland 2 which had Chris Avellone as a designer.
Nood fits none of those criteria for me, it doesn't do anything new, it doesn't do anything better from my point of view and I have no opinion on Chloe Lewis.

To be fair, people though mine craft was a Infiniminer clone.
Much like you could argue chaturbate share allot in common MFC.

But what both of these platforms did, is they found ways to innovate beyond earlier products.

Hopefully if models take more per token; your tokens would also go be worth more to the model. In many ways a model getting 10% more per token, is the same you getting a 10% discount on your purchase. But SM makes a good point. Consumers may not perceive a bulk token discount as 'better'. And models may not lower their rates because tokens are worth more to the model.

Why stop at male, why not open it to all legal models.
