Heya
Can anyone give me some advice.
I've been trying to get my profile to look pretty and work much like this one https://profiles.myfreecams.com/LunaRoux
Where it is a static background with scrolling graphics with attached links. I have made all the graphics for everything and attached all the links but I cant for the life of me work out how to get the CSS and HTML to behave.
I was let down by a friend that said he was free and then never replied so can only assume doesnt want to help and i asking my website developer for my other company and they said due to the nature of the website they didnt want to help! What ass hats!
I've tried to google etc but to no avail really. I dont need to buy a template that i can edit, I am happy uploading new graphics that i make when they need updating. It seems alot of girls have a similar layout so it can't be too tricky.

As for manycam. I downloaded it, and then deleted mac keeper that it had kindly decided my laptop also needed......-_- without telling me! I got it working, i wanted picture in picture. I logged on to MFC and set it up in the preview, still working, looking great. I go online...... says loading many cam and the only shows a while screen..... brilliant. I've tried what I could find, going on and off and restarting my browser but it works up until i hit the go online button. I use a Mac, are there any other programs you can use for picture in picture. I wanted to use it on CamYou for a colouring book show.

Any pointers would be great!
Love you all!

Regarding your profile, can you be more detailed about " how to get the CSS and HTML to behave" and what you mean by that?

Is nothing showing up? Are there errors showing?

Do you have CSS/HTML experience?

I assume this profile you linked to as an example is not from that cammodels express service. I can never tell personally.

Thanks

I have no experience in anything technical really. I can make graphics but dont' know how to put them in my profile.
I don't think it is a cam model express profile. I dont need anything that i can edit and add to etc I just need to know where to add new graphics in when they need updating. I dont really know how to change the CSS and HTML etc. I just know what I want and I have made what I want it to look like.
If that makes any sense.

Ok. Well... to me there are two ways to improve the profile - not including finding a template or purchasing something like Cammodelexpress. There are pros and cons to both.

The EASIEST way is to create your graphics - upload them to an album on MFC (NOT MFC Share). Get the url's to your uploaded images and then put them into simple image tags and paste in the about me box.

The advantage here is it's pretty easy and most models can do it themselves without being website experts. Sometimes they need a little help with the image tag itself.

The problem with this solution is the images don't necessarily auto-size and can cause the browser to need to scroll to the right. It's also just images and not full control. No custom CSS needed.

If you want to try this you can use this tag :
<img src="urlToImage.jpg" height="400" alt="">

Notice the "height". Typically I'd rather have "width" but MFC removes that for some stupid reason. So on the assumption that you make your images pretty big, you can tweak the result by messing with the height.

Again - all this does is get your images inside the existing profile. Easy but sounds like it might not be what you really want.

NOTE: Don't edit html in the MFC box. it's a pain. Edit it in something like NotePad and paste your code into the About me box.

The second solution is to go all in for custom css and custom html. this gives you almost total control of that page and is what the profile you liked to does. BUT unless you know what you're doing it's a very daunting task. I am a web developer by trade - though mostly backend.. not this front end stuff. And it took me a good couple of weeks to figure out what I was doing enough to build a full profile for a model similar to what you linked.

I ended up building this profile :

https://profiles.myfreecams.com/OliSunny

It's not great but the model likes it. I did start from some template I found online I believe.

There are some templates and a lot of resources to help building a full page profile. And now that at least portions of Bootstrap is available that helps. But I wouldn't recommend going down that path without a web person to assist.

I suggest to you that you first try option one. Upload your photos. And just get them on your profile page. If you need help with the image tags let me know and I will try to help you there. That doesn't take very long really.

Then after you get your feet wet you look into doing the full custom profile.

Hope that info helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you so much for the help!!
I made my graphics in Canva which have attached links to certain images. It says to download them as a PDF If I want to keep the links any recommendations on how I can keep the links when I re upload them?
