A friend earlier showed me on Twitter, some random guy promoting her on Twitter, but he is one of those accounts that does it for many models; simply sating "NAME is online" and with a link. I see lots of these kind of accounts but I don't understand why. I would assume they are somehow making money but not sure how they are making it?

I get people following me too, who just do all of this promotion for models but they are always "guys" who are following more models than are following them.

Can anyone quickly/briefly explain it to me if you know ?
Appreciated

Affiliate marketing if there are links. Porn hobbyist if not.

In the one my friend showed, the only links was to the model's pages. It was a bit.ly link or whatever, but I think Twitter does that themselves right, or is that a way they earn money through clicks (these "promoters")?

If it was bitly it was probably an affiliate link.

they use a bitly link to shorten the post to make it more neat and appealing. it's also important to note sometimes affiliate links are long urls. she has nothing to worry about them. does she not like having traffic sent to her? :D

They are just affiliate marketers. If they're shortening their links then it's most likely an affiliate link. If someone signs up to the camsite they're promoting, they get paid a small commission. That's how they make money.

Some promoters on twitter are good, they don't all do it for the money. Some do it as a hobby and don't use affiliate links, they use the direct model's links. They can send free traffic to your page and content sites. If it's something you don't want, simply tweet them and tell em to stop, or just block them. :)
