Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading through some posts on this forum where users successfully received refunds, so I’m surprised and encouraged to give it a try myself.

I recently tipped a model on Chaturbate 3th June 2025 for a clearly listed item on her tip menu (2999 tokens). Despite waiting and prompting respectfully in chat, the action was never acknowledged or fulfilled.

I initially assumed she was just busy or missed the message. But later, I noticed other users in chat saying the same thing had happened to them. This raised concerns.

I submitted a refund request to CB Support (they didn't get me a ticket #?), but they denied it, stating it’s at the model’s discretion. However, the model hasn’t responded and hasn’t been online since then. It also felt like the stream may have been a rebroadcast - she didn’t respond to chat, tips, or even live events. Obviously, I can’t confirm that, but it seemed odd and possibly misleading.

I’m aware models can decline requests for various reasons - and I always try to be respectful - but in this case, the tip was for something the model offered herself and the complete lack of acknowledgment seems suspicious.

Has anyone else experienced a situation where a model ignored a tip listed on their menu, and support denied a refund? Is my experience unusual compared to others? I’m fairly new to tipping on Chaturbate, so I’m wondering if verifying my identity increases the likelihood of getting a refund(?)

Appreciate any advice. Hoping to avoid this situation in the future and possibly get a refund.

CB rules state that the model does not have to perform anything, even if tipped for from the menu. based on that, I would not have high hopes for a refund...

Maybe, for future reference, it could be good practise to start off with smaller sums and confirm the model is actually live with you before tipping larger amounts. That wont keep you safe from model changing their mind, but it increases your chances of getting what you wanted if at least you know you are not talking to a recording.

Saying all that, the broadcast should always be live, so if its a recording they are breaking the rules. but even proving that they were not live (not sure how you could do that, anyway...)you will probably not get your refund.

It sucks, sorry it...

It sucks, sorry it happened to you. Granted, I am nor the judge or the jury on this, but I have seen a few cases like yours that always go on the models favor. by the terms on conditions, models on CB do not have to perform nothing or give you anything in return for your tokens.

I quote the terms from the website;

Section V, your account and general terms applicable to all users. part g - Token use:

Token Use. By tipping tokens through the Platform, you agree that all token tips are intended as a gratuity and all tips are final when sent. In the event that we receive a complaint about a tip after it has been sent, we may, at our election and with no obligation to do so, send the complaint to the other party for the other party's response regarding the complaint. You are prohibited from providing "tips" for the performance of specific acts. Requesting or demanding specific acts for tips may result in a ban from the Platform for all parties involved. Independent Broadcasters may elect to encourage engagement through the use of a "tip menu" or otherwise. In the unlikely event an Independent Broadcaster fails to perform the performance suggested in their tip menu after receiving the requested gratuity, you may not legally require or compel the Independent Broadcaster to provide any performance or insist on a refund of the gratuity. Of course, you may register either positive or negative feedback on an Independent Broadcaster once every 30 days through the rating system. Although we cannot guarantee that disputes will not occur and cannot compel any Independent Broadcaster to engage in any activity the individual does not wish to engage in, we nevertheless request you report these incidents as repeated failures by an Independent Broadcaster to “morally” honor their own “tip menu” may result in action against the Independent Broadcaster, up to and including termination from the platform. If that’s what happened, I’m sorry to hear that.

I really think members should refrain from giving large tips like that to models they don’t know well…no matter how hot you think she is. Imo, you should only make a purchase like that with a model (who’s new to you) if it’s for, say, instant downloadable items that are automatically sent to you upon purchase. But things like a custom video…a Skype show…etc. (things you have to wait for the model to get back to you)…you should not be taking that risk on a model you’ve just met today. Stick with saying hi in her chat, and small tips. If she’s not even responding at all to your hi and small tips, then that right there should tell you to move on.

That sucks. Since CB has already denied your refund request they are unlikely to change their mind. Being verified would have no bearing on their decision. It's a bit of an expensive learning experience, but never tip that much without developing communication with the model first and watching the room to get a feel for what is going on. It is too bad you had such a bad experience as there are some truly awesome models on CB that actually care about providing a good experience for their viewers. Unfortunately, you encountered one of the shady performers.
