The concept is interesting, and it's definitely something I'd consider looking into further if and when I get back into making clips again. But personally, as far as things that haven't already been mentioned: I think the name is tacky, and it isn't something I'd feel excited to advertise.

I like this idea! I think it could also be great for models like myself who don't focus on clip-making but do make clips from time to time. Having them in bundles could help passive sales without having to be constantly putting out content. I would love there to be an option to submit videos to multiple bundle catagories as well. (EG bbw and big boobs catagories).

I'm in Canada so I can't get in with you right away unfortunately.

I currently use ePayments, and I love sites that let me use my US bank account as well, even though I don't have an SSN (currently only Sextpanther lets me do this).

@PeachyNeko ,

If you're interested in joining, reach out to the OP of this thread @EmiliaSong. For our beta launch we'll only be doing one bundle but in the future you will be able to submit to multiple bundles.

This idea offers models the potential to gain exposure and make friends for collaborations and offers members the possibility of great deals mixed with the thrill of a “mystery box”. I think it has appeal. Now I am not a clip maker or a site owner but if I was my concern would be with marketing and the way the revenue is split.

Seems like from the way this system is set up models will be encouraged to piggyback on other models work... I would be afraid of being taken advantage of by the other models in the bundle in the typical school group task scenario where 2 people put in the actual work and another 10 benefit from a good grade without having to work with the difference that in this case the “grade” gets lowered with each additional group member.

Models will be encouraged to join bundles for the passive income and free exposure but there is little to no incentive to actually advertise their bundles to their fanbase because their conversions will be evenly split among all the models featured in it whether they sell anything or not. If you are planning on relying entirely on paid traffic then yeah.. but if you are expecting models to advertise you will have to offer some sort of proportional division of revenue according to sales.

Reminds me of video game bundles.. I'm interested in seeing how this plays out in an adult industry setting. I'm all for it; we're supporting people paying for porn, supporting exposure of ourselves and our long distance colleagues, all while profiting from it. I might join later in development.

Good luck with the beta phase!

From the customer stand point,

Is the idea I choose put 5 dollars a month into the #anime bundle?
And then random models choose to drop content into that bundle for payout?

Or is it more like a few models choose to make a bundle together, and then I can try buy the bundle, but that only happens if 5,000 people buy in?

What's my motivation as a customer to wait for a bundle to drop, instead of just going and buying the video directly from the model?

@Mila_ ,

Thank you for your feedback! For our beta bounty, we're only inviting 100 performers in our network or who are a friend of network. The group project feel won't be there for the beta but I can certainly see that being a potential issue when we go live. Each performer will be given a link so we'll know who's driving traffic and who's not. Depending on how the performer community feels about performers not driving traffic ("lowering the grade") we could do probationary periods, limit how many bundles you can submit for, etc. I'd love your opinion about what you think would be fair if we find performers not putting in the effort but once again, this won't be an issue for some time. It would be nice to get in front of though! Thanks again.

I would be less concerned about kicking out low performing models and more concerned over getting a fair cut for myself if I joined your platform. And a way around it is... since you are already tracking sales pay models a 50% cut guaranteed on their own sales. Say your current model looks something like this:

Performers get 80% of the revenue generated by a bundle split evenly among all performers in it.

It would be a matter of tweaking it like this:

Performers get 80% of the revenue generated from sales through Stroken native traffic split evenly among all performers in a bundle AND they get 50% guaranteed on sales generated through their specific link.

The end result would be like this:

Suppose your first bundle has 100 performers, it costs $10 and you sell 1000 copies through Stroken traffic and 500 more copies are sold by the models themselves with the top model selling 200, the second one selling 100, and the remaining 200 copies are sold by the other 98 models. That's 10,000 USD for the native traffic sales out of which the models keep 8,000 split among them which comes to be 80 USD each. Now the top model sold 200 copies on her own, that's $2000 for which she gets to keep $1000. Her total earnings are $1080. The second model sold 100 copies, she gets to keep $500. Her total earnings are $580. The average model who sold 10 copies gets $50 so her total earnings are $130. The model who didn't bother to advertise this takes home $80 which is still a sweet deal if you don't put any effort in, but she isn't screwing the models who do put work in out of their deserved compensation. You could even keep the other 50% for the platform if you wanted... or split it among all models.

@Mila_ ,

This is a great idea, running it by the dev teams to see how we can implement. Once again though, we know the performers invited to the beta will all be promoting but it's good to look into the future. Thanks again!

@Lelo1 ,

Great questions. When we launch our site, models will be able to sell individual videos or collaborate with other models to create bundles.

Our beta site is to test our proof of concept about creating a bundle for the user base.

I also want to thank you for taking time to ask questions. We'll be relying a lot on performer feedback in the development and management of our platform.

I like this idea and this should be stickied as an example to anyone else coming to pitch business ideas to us. 😅 Really well written, explained and thought out. Saving this thread to be reminded when you guys post updates!

As a potential consumer, I'm a little skeptical on the concept. Some reasons why:

1) I'm highly selective when it comes to buying content. Will this be a "blind title purchase" where we don't see who the models are, and possible samples of each model in the bundle?

2) If a well known model is listed, will it be only a few pics of her and then a number of lesser known models? Kind of like the dreaded "bait 'n switch"

3) Is there a requirement that this is new content for each bundle? What's to prevent a model from reusing old photos? Which would then kill any incentive to purchase selective content if I can just go to her store on this site, or elsewhere, and buy the stuff there? Just because it's a number of different models does not necessarily give me enough incentive to buy a bundle.

There's other reasons I'm a little hesitant on this. But, the above is a good starting point for discussion.

@ForceTen ,

Thank you for your questions.

1. it won't be blind, you'll know who the performers are and you'll even see previews of the videos submitted.
2. We aren't doing photos, just videos but it'll be whomever submits to the bundle and meets the bundle criteria. No bait and switch.
3. We are asking for new content for each bundle. If something has been recycled, we'd ask our community to flag the content.

So something that I've been thinking about is how models choose what bundles to put their videos in and how that can lead to a wide variety in quality. Say you have a bundle for dildo riding, and 10 models join in. Maybe 2 of them make super professional looking videos, in 4k and great lighting, 3 of them make decent looking 1080p videos, and the rest submit some even lower quality videos. I'm assuming that bundles will have have quality based recommendations?

Of course that's only objective, which is easier to deal with. So how do you deal with a large difference in subjective quality that maybe occur in bundles?

I would personally love to get in on this.

seems like a great way to get content out to a wider audience that might not come across me otherwise.

Hello everyone! I’m here representing a new clip site called Stroken, and right now we’re looking for feedback as we prepare to launch our beta site.

Stroken is a crowdfunding clip site where models add their videos to a “bundle” and share the collective “bounty.” Users buy access to each bundle, and the total bounty raised is divided between all of the models. Each bundle is defined by a specific category like “anime cosplay” or “JOI.” As the site grows, users and models will be able to create their own bundle categories.

The amount you make is based on sales tiers. The more sales you make, the higher the buy-in price gets for users, and the more money the bundle models make overall.

Payout upon tier completion:

Tier 1: 5,000 sales at $5 per user. The first 5 models in a bundle will earn an estimated $1,000 each.
Tier 2: 2,500 sales at $10 per user. The first 5 models will earn an additional $500. The next 5 models will earn $500 each.
Tier 3: 1667 sales at $15 per user. The first 10 models will earn an additional $300 each. The next 5 models will earn $300.

A complete list of payout tiers will be available on the site. We’re still in the proof of concept phase, so payout tiers may change. Ultimately, our goal is for you to make as much as you can, so we’ll be adjusting tiers according to market feedback and feedback from you.

Payout is bimonthly, and the current payout option is by wire. We’re working on adding more payout options for international models (presently we can only accept American models). If you’d like to use a different payout method, we’ll work one-on-one with you in the short term. Payout minimum is $50, and chargebacks covered.

Remember: you’re not just making money off of individual clip sales; you’re collectively making money with other models off a collection of clips.

We plan to launch out beta site in December, so please contact me (here or on Twitter @theemiliasong) if you’d like to be one of the first featured models on our platform. The earlier you join, the more you’ll make. All genders are welcome! Your participation will help to influence the tone of our site, giving you the chance to be invested in our project from Day 1.

Our goal is to be as hands-on as possible, especially in the preliminary phase. We’re all sick and tired of waiting 48 hours for canned responses from tech support, so we’ll do our best to ensure quick correspondence! We also have a feedback forum for suggestions and questions.

We’ll be relying on paid traffic from the start. Of course, we’ll also need your help promoting the new site to your followers. Each model will get promo graphic templates and their own link that features their video on the homepage to encourage fans to buy into their bundle.

Stroken was founded by James Greene and Jeremy Davis, a pair of nerds and pervs from the wider tech world. While trying to figure out how to create an adult-friendly e-currency (and idea they've since dropped), James and Jeremy developed an idea to help models work together to bring fans the content that they want.

So what do you think? Any suggestions?
I signed up for the site. Is it only available to cam models with a big following? I am still new, but would like to get my feet wet. Thanks

Per the practical math class I took in high school (we "filed" taxes, figured mortgage payments, calculated tips, etc) bi- means every other (period of time), and semi- means twice a (period of time), so you read "bimonthly" correctly, but it was not used correctly.

For example, most vanilla jobs pay biweekly, which is every other week. The Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale happens twice a year, in January and June.
Uh, can I pay you to help me with my taxes...kidding but not kidding.. I have not done them as a cam model yet tbh..

About a month ago, I had to have manyvids dmca a site, which I could have sworn was stroken.com for stolen content of mine. Is that possible already? I believe it was a portion of one of my clips, which is only available for sales on clipsites.

If someone has purchased it, it's possible that one of the buyers uploaded it somewhere. Scummy, but it happens.

Thanks, yeah it happens all of the time, I was just wondering how it was possible that I thought it had been listed on a site which doesn't seem to be up yet. Maybe it was another site w stroken in the name.

Oh, gotcha. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a common word to use in site names, so it might be a different site with a similar name.

Very insteresting concept, & I may have been way off the math (not my strong point), but it seems the clip site cut after payouts would be absurdly out of proportion to what each model is getting paid, regardless of tier. The whole idea/system flops if the site doesn't gain a massive folllowing to actually accumulate thousands of purchases per bundle. If I sold 1,500 videos at an average of 15 minutes, $1/min & a 60% payout, I earn $13,500. Mind you, I've never sold a video on a single clip site more than 50 times, even on the highest traffic clip sites to date. I would imagine even 10 different models selling a bundle would struggle reaching high sale numbers.

Not trying to bash, I Iove the unique idea! Just trying to gauge my own skepticism here.
