Usually somewhere between flippant and glib.
A 25-year-old Australian found himself the victim of the worst kind of prank -- one conducted by a tattoo artist with a particularly raunchy sense of humor.

Despite having requested some fairly harmless ink -- a yin-yang symbol and some dragons -- the man returned home to discover a 16-inch penis and an obscene, albeit misspelled, slogan "implying that he was gay," the Ipswich Queensland Times reports.

"When he got home he showed it to the person he lives with and she said: 'I don't think it's the tattoo you were after,'" Queensland detective Paul Malcolm told the Times.

And as if being permanently marked with a giant phallus on his back wasn't enough, the victim was also allegedly punched and thrown out of the house by the 21-year-old amateur artist after the tattoo was completed, according to the AFP.

Upon discovering the prank, the victim immediately contacted the police. The former friend who allegedly etched the tattoo is due in court Nov. 15, and has been charged with two counts of assault. He potentially faces additional public safety charges as he was not a licensed tattoo artist.

Frist clue, HOME tattoo "artist", second clue, UNLICENSED. Got what he deserved in my opinion...might wanna get some blood work done too, just incase

You can't blame the victim for crimes like this. He didn't "get what he deserved" just because he trusted someone that was his friend.
Plus the argument is flawed. Try changing the crime a bit and you'll see how horrible it sounds.

"First clue DARK alley, second clue SHORT SKIRT. Got what she deserved in my opinion"
"First clue NEW boyfriend, second clue OPEN DRINK. Got what she deserved in my opinion"
"First clue, HARLEM, second clue WHITE GUY. Got what he deserves in my opinion"
See how that just makes the whole argument explode? Basically, your reasoning would mean none of these people are at fault for their crimes, because they could have been prevented by the victim.

I did somewhat agree with what Eva said, but I must applaud you as this is really changed how I looked at it.
Very good point you have.

Humans make mistakes, but just because you mess up doesn't remove criminal accountability from someone else.

OMG!! how could anyone do that to another person...
thats like chopping someone cock off and then say: "april fools"

I can appreciate this rebuttal, still doesn't change my view. As someone who has tats, I would not get ink from a friend in their home. I never said the friend should get off scott free, but if the guy was a stand up "artist" he would have a more professional setting and apparently manner as well. I wouldnt get surgery from a friend at his house. ANYTHING entering my body/skin other than sexually, is to be done by a pro in a pro setting. Even sexual, insertions to your body should be thought over VERY carefully. As an adult, YOU are responsible for your actions. This also applies to your situations above Keithy. It is up to you to try and prevent unwanted things from happening, including putting yourself into situations that can be permanently harmful to your well being. It's up to you to protect yourself from being hit by a car, getting pregnant, catching an STD or getting an unprofessional tattoo from a non-professional. The "artist" absolutely needs to pay dearly for being such a douche, but as an adult, people should be trying to avoid these kind of situations so they dont end up in them. This generation is odd because everyone is supposed to be taking care of and looking out for everyone else, other than themselves.

I love how green your text always is.

 Thanks jebbaz, I use it so when I skip in forums, I can find my last reply insetead of having to read all the posts from that day, or having to look at dates. It works well when your quoted also LOL. Also, I like colored text and don't want the color option to be removed, so I make sure to use it.

~Hey Amber, is there a way to set the default font, so I don't have to keep clicking the color? Just curious, thanks!

Check in the user control panel in the top right, but I'm not sure, haven't scoped it out.

Maybe he was doing his friend a favor by allowing him to practice on him. I know all tattoo artists don't start out great but have to start somewhere. Which means you are either working on yourself or you have to have willing parties that will let ya work on them. If all he wanted was a yin and yang symbol then well that's easy enough to do. I draw and paint and I can probably crank out yin and yang symbols all day long in whatever medium. Not like you were asking for a self portrait which is obviously a lot harder to do and would take more skill. So again maybe the victim thought ya can't screw up something as simple as a yin and yang symbol and agreed to it. Shrugs.

I think the guy that gave the tat was clearly at fault and a douche. I would never ever do something that awful to someone I disliked let alone someone I considered a friend. Maybe the guy that was victimized was at fault here.......poor choice in picking his friends...in my eyes that's all he is guilty of from what information was given in this thread.

*clicks green* Nope, no settings in there, crap LOL Thanks anyways Amber :)
