Have you ever wonder how the entertainment industry reaches those huge amounts of loss due to piracy? Well this video explains the math in easy to use terms.

I only have 902,400,000 dollars worth of music on my Winamp playlist? That's terribly upsetting. Not to mention that about half of my music was ripped from CDs I own... so total damages of approximately 450 million. I'm such a slacker. :(

I'm pretty impressed with the music industry's ability to take somewhere around $1 to $1.25 worth of song and turn it into $150,000 of economic loss. I think we've just found the answer to the economic problems in the US! We need to funnel more money into the music and entertainment industry!

On a side note, I think I want copyright math to be used to determine how much my hourly wage should be at work.

Jesus Fuck. I can't even afford a new ipod to replace my cracked one, which btw works amazingly still. Sometimes it slips up and alerts me of a birthday that is um... months away? LOL. Not to shabby for being dropped at work a few times while I was carrying boxes and getting tangled up and shit.
